chidiokay:Calling a uniform man a fool breaks no law in this country. A military illegally deploying troops in a land dispute and forcibly impeding government staff from carrying out their legitimate duty broke their own military service rules and the law. Hating Wike is not the issue here but impunity by soldiers in uniform who follow no rules except their own instinct or interest even when it means breaking the law of the very country. With Wike and co, they are recycled in elections every 4 years so there's hope. Bit how do you address lawlessness from the military who obey no law except their own instinct and interests? This is survivability and a threat to civil order, law and order and to Nigeria. When a man gets emotional and logic sips out from his core like a perforated bowl, he's unfit to lead or give opinions. This is how I see you |
Gideon490:folks remember it was the PA to Wike Lere who disgraced Useni on his live TV show and told the world he should be lecturing animals as a zoologist. It was on same show late exposed Reuben Abati for being arrested by the EFCC and he was running around begging. These sentimental oafs who often displays more sentiments than the neutral stand of professional journalism are now insulting their listeners by using a news platform to carry out personal vendetta against someone they don't like. Remember these two creatures have not told the public as is their responsibility whether the military has any powers in any law of the land to interfere in any land dispute. |
Idle bloggers with zero content will be pushing the shame of the military in a glorifying manner for the whole world to see how ignorant we are as a people and country. Yerima is the face and poster child of the rot, unprofessionalsm and indiscipline in the Nigeria military. It's a the example we need to draw as proof irrefutable why Amnesty International has flagged the Nigeria military for years for gross domestic abuse. Yerima broke his own military service rule and broke the Nigerian constitution. And I'm wondering whether the OP is trying to tell us if his numerous wives were the ones who encouraged him in that show of shame. |
Islie:the only thing I got from this pretentious piece is that the writer who knows nothing about the law has implicitly admitted that the Minister of the FCT was in danger in the hands of the navy personnel who were deployed where they have no constitutional authority to be. |
How much longer will this incompetent military bosses keep giving excuses for a very glaring case of military disregard for constituted authority and civil disobedience? The military shouldn't be there in the first place. There's no law or statue or policy that empowers military to intervene in civil matters or criminals matters. The minister has every power , authority and right to be there. So let these ignorant, incompetent and killers of Nigeria continue fooling themselves with press statement to make the military score nonexistent point in this matter |
Wisdomkosi:if the newspaper can't mention the commissioner's name even under alleged, then they are a fake news machine and unqualified as the Fourth Realm |
And the tax collector in chief is multiplying the effect with more tax. |
Nigerians have been the ones subsidising this country why the clueless, ineffective government keeps ripping where it doesn't sow. Many Nigerians provide their own security and subsidize the police when they need to make an arrest. We're using generators and solar in the cities and villages in our business and homes thereby subsidizing power for the government. Many Nigerians have resorted to boreholes, streams and all We are now health experts and have raided chemists and pharmacists to physicians because the government have mismanaged the health care while going abroad for coughs and cold. Yet a government who isn't financially transparent is trying to modernise taxation for Nigerians abroad and remotely. I don't want to go further because it sounds tribal and I hate the tribal card. But every lazy, exploitative a d cheap government efforts to generate more funds for government is always done from a particular demographic. |
Slytiger:falana is speaking the truth in a cowardly manner. Wike will not apologise to a military personal ego doesn't know his place and usurp authority illegally. Secondly the minister doesn't need a court order to do his job. In every civilised country the military man will be arrested by police on the spot. World's most powerful armies in the US and UK don't move around interfering with civil authority. Remem when two Nigerian British terrorists killed two military personnel in near their barracks? Not one military personnel or soldier came out. The police handled it perfectly and professionally. When the gallant US soldiers finished off Sadam Hussein in the Gulf War, on returning home, they subjected personal belongings to the American customs for checks. That is the law in all modern democracies. Nigeria military assumes their uniform conversation superiority to them above every other Nigerians including the police and government officials. During our heroics in Liberia, a lot of the soldiers then brought in illegally Liberian girls back to Nigeria illegally. In Nigeria, a military man will have an argument with bus conductor and call his colleagues to beat up all the passengers and in some instances burn the bus without any reprimand from their bosses. The law and status governing the Nigeria military and police should be reviewed asap because I'm very sure that it's precolonial and still have elements of military rule and decrees in them. It's time the military starts updating their rules to reflect modernity and professionalism because an undisciplined army is a threat to national security and not the outburst of a minister who was responding angrily over being impeded from his constitutional role |
prinsam30:very shocking especially when young people do this and still complain about racism against our players abroad |
MVLOX:what a stupid ignorant tyranical remark. Is it the duty or responsibility of the military to investigate land or civil dispute? I'm bothered by the kind of incompetent minds running this country |
GanagiBitrus:Yoyr question point to nothing relevant to the topic except perhaps your desperate clutching at straws |
joseph1832:look she's a mother of two and drugged up (self-admitted) and I won't advise for Ned to sue for the sake of the kids. She's still under the bubble of social media and displays very un-motherly conduct. |
It's been about time. Pidgin should be used as a secondary language |
joseph1832:Tell you , bro. So she's 27 and claims to be 24. She's hit the wall already and still behaving like a 16 year old bamboozled by Tik Tok |
muyico:A valid voter's card is a confirmation document admitted as proof in every part of the world. Would you like to stay off Nairaland for a while and do a crash course in common sense? I can point you a nice place sir. |
GanagiBitrus:when men get emotional and act like women and stand logic on its head. How a grown adult plays the game of ad hominem publicly without shame is psychological poser on its own |
dfrost:the reality dey shock you? Why should he stay off when he has points valid with proof? |
fergie001:Ned Nwoko 10 , Regina Daniels, a huge 0 Who believes the word of an actress? The spirit that lures a girl to acting on screen is a spirit of attention, validation -seeking and insecurity. They never stay loyal and happy and drugs is an escapism from reality and accountability for them. See as the senator dey disgrace them legally and on point. Regina is a mother of two and social media and thirsty men there will continue to give her fake likes and comments but she's used up already and no man will take seriously any woman with drug issues. |
Sowore should have some shame. You can't be a media personality and be using same media to settle scores with your enemies. Sowore , you can't be this cheap |
BeardedMeat:not as much as black women who made fake hair and lashes a multi billion dollar industry. At least they can come to bed and the swimming pool with their natural hair why Regina can't go to the pool without a hair net looking like she is preparing for surgery. |
FreeIgboho:are you saying you're into drugs too, is that what you're trying to say? |
InfoGuru118:Remember she's wearing her natural hair and eye lashes and Regina is not. |
LagosOrigin:say no to drugs and mother hard substance. It is very dangerous to cognitive abilities and comprehension. |
EdonhappenTv:Stop this cheap skit nonsense. At your age, you should be concerned about the constitutionality and legality of the actions taken and not such cheap click bait |
FreeStuffsNG:it is a shame that a big platform like Nairaland has a vast majority supporting the military man who by his very own rule is at fault. Nigeria my country, who do us like this? |
FreeStuffsNG:I didn't need to read this to know the county is finished. I don't like Wike. But everyone is emotional including the diminutive Rufai Useni who should know better. Same way we support tribal politics just because it's your tribes men , it's same way they are supporting this undisciplined military officer who is a threat to democracy and constitutionality. The amount of ignorance in Nigeria needs divine intervention |
LagosOrigin:emotions and personal feelings are not facts. No be video when we all watched? |
