ddami: @leZZ my guy once again I CONCUR and ENCORE with u some pple tend 2 wonder how we are able 2 survive it and I just tell dem dis z d worst we can be, d best of nig. z wot dey should watch out 4 'cos it will b titled "unstoppable" am actually looking 4wd 2 buhari's administration 'cos I know he has focus and he knows wot he's coming 2 change.... *how can dey say we are finished when we have not started * Every African who isn't having sawdust for brains should be asking these questions: * If we can have the economic top spot in Africa with corrupt leaders what then would be our benchmark with a responsible government ? * If we produced and created nollywood with generators what would we be creating with stable electricity ? * If we grew the economy by 7% last year with every retailer, whole seller, shop owner and entrepreneurs owning and running a generator, what would be their input when the cost of running these generators are diverted to other activities ? * if we have produced Africa's richest people with no government support what then should be the result when a listening president steps in ? Nigerians have always not relied on the government to limit their progress. the government failed us in security, we introduced the civil security and fund them. the government failed to provide power, we bought generators and run them in homes and offices. Now we are holding the government responsible to do and act more. The sleeping giant has just stirred from his sleep and all of Africa feel more alive with the great anticipation of his full awakening. |

ddami: @lezz I concur and encore Y do u think I am always writing my regular phrase here "Nigeria z d best country in Africa* its because I know hu we are in every spheres and areas...... Nigerians are the brightest, smartest, most energized, mobile, enterprising and entrepreneurial in all of Africa. i say this with patronisation far from my thoughts. Show me a country with epileptic power supply for decades that can sweat out a $594 billion GDP. Show we a country besieged by corrupt leaders and still had the benevolence of heart and will to sacrifice so much for her neighbours of Liberia, Sierra Leon, etc Show me a country than can create a movie industry by generators to become the 3rd most profitable in the world. Show me citizens of any country that have to cope with poor infrastructure and social amenities and still dubbed one of the happiest people on earth by the international community. Nigerians have survived against all odds to travel to the US and become the most educated people in America. And with all the mockery by our African brethren we have produced the richest and largest middle class in Africa. We have been the only country which has given her blood and wealth for Africa and ASK NOTHING IN RETURN. We have earned our arrogance . |

ddami: okay okay yes I understand....do u know y I am still replying u ? 'cos u are d only opposition party here and u have 2 b retained buh religious issues how do u think its going 2 end maybe end up quoting bible and all.....aint d@ much spiritual......... so wot does khona mean dats d ONLY s.a song d@ rocked a bit in naija buh I know u know a lot of our songs ur fellow citizen mentioned skelewu earlier Talking about music, Nigeria has the the most influential soft power in Africa through her music and film industries. it is a humbling observation that we are the biggest economy, biggest entertainment industry biggest spiritual assembly and gathering in Africa. I actually believe, without the faintest traces of sarcasm , that the sleeping giant has waken to her eternal calling. the reason Nigeria has not broken into tiny fractions, the reason we have survived all the wars, religious tensions is more mystery than man made design. it took China and India 500 hundred years to know what they can do. It has taken Nigeria 50 years of hardship and strife to know she is a born leader called into a region that needs her more than she needs it. |

PunkyOh: I reiterate & read slowly this time, the synagogue became well known, following the deaths of our citizens over there in your country. Prior to that, it was just another nameless church ran by foreign pastors. Those are not as popular as you'd like to think. People still go to churches they were born & raised in etc.
Well, we wear uniforms in all our churches here because it is believed flashy clothes will distract people from the real reason they're in church.
I still don't care about your wealthy pastors, sorry. Before the Synagogue debacle, South Africans were one of the highest foreign visitors to darken the door way of that church. when i say South Africa, i mean South africans of all races and social strata. |

ddami: as in I didn't even know dey also love oyakhilome. .big pastors and churches can't b synonymous 2 dem dey are 2 much of a zuluist..... Christ Embassy is in S.A big time. They love him so much he relocated the headquarters to S.A. |
Politics › Re: This Ghanaian Just Finished Nigeria On Instagram by lezz(m): 9:56pm On May 25, 2015 |
PunkyOh: Like I said, that's how YOU operate your churches (by including materialism in everything), that's not how we run things here. And no, most South African churches have been in existence for GENERATIONS & most people still believe in them more than the newly founded churches or churches that just arrived recently.
As for "biggest" & all that, again, quantity is your thing not ours. There's a hymn & I think it comes from a Bible verse, it goes something like, "Whether we're two or three, we're still a congregation to the Lord". So it's never about how many people or how wealthy a pastor is, but more about spiritual fulfilment, which is what these people are obviously getting or they wouldn't be attending the same churches for generations. Again, when it comes to spirituality imo, it's NOT about international recognition, the international community or even fame. It's about the relationship people have with their creator & noone else. If having the most & biggest churches, richest & most famous pastors etc is what you people associate with religion, then that's on you. Us on the other hand have a more humble approach to religion. We take it seriously, hence you won't find us using God's name in vain the way you guys do. God this, God that, even in insults, like he's your God alone & from Lagos
lol @ making Africa proud Where? Americans were just mocking you on the other thread over your fuel issue, saying you'll go back to communicating with drums like your ancestors. Kikiki. I never knew punkyoh has a knack for spiritual things. darn! it was almost like you were preaching to me. other, than your love for your country which brought you to this thread, you really should haul your fat round ass to the religious section . The fuel issue is just an occasional glitch in scheme of our economic life which is being addressed as we speak. Nigeria is known to survive the odds.. |
Politics › Re: This Ghanaian Just Finished Nigeria On Instagram by lezz(m): 8:21pm On May 25, 2015 |
PunkyOh: Only you people can boast about the wealthiest pastors. It shows your mentality, really. To us a church is a church & has got nothing to do with building wealth. The more down to earth & common the pastor/bishop is, the better. After all, even Jesus was not a wealthy man. hehehe, while not focusing on the wealth, the spiritual growth of these churches have been staggering. and you know humans, they reward spiritual benevolence with material benefits. We are grossly unaware until the international community gave us a nudge that we have some of the biggest and most prosperous churches around the globe. we make africa proud. |

ddami: Actually I think synagogue z d most important 2 dem dere I mean he z helping dem sanctify and performe some electrifying deliverance on deir cocaine licking and sniffing youths.some Nigerians will not remain in DAT country if dey stop patronizing dem....its a Focus strategy suppying stuffs where dey love it. sweetheart, please tell punkyoh that S.A isn't known with big pastors or churches. Nigeria has 5 of the 10 most wealthy pastors in the world of humans. Christ Embassy is in south africa drawing the crowds as do the Synagouge. the biggest church in Europe is still owned by a Nigerian, Mathew Ashimolowo. if there are churches in S.A the synagogue wont be besieged as it is by them. |
Car Talk › Re: Reasons Why Front-wheel Drive Sucks And Why Rear-wheel Drive Is best by lezz(m): 7:31pm On May 25, 2015 |
auhanson: Good mehn!!
Lets call a spade a spade, and stop twisting things simply because we use one thing and wouldnt admit the other. A front wheel car till tomorrow is a budget vehicle, cheaper to produce and for slimmer pockets no matter the spec, where as the rear wheel is da machine for men who knows whats up and more importantly the all wheel drive with centre differential is the "ko ko", but if you may not need that extra cost, you are ok with the rear drive. Both rear wheel and all wheel is no budget thing, and not for economy mindset. So if you want fun, you pay the price for fun and have it(its someone that marries a beautiful loaded wife), and not confused up things and call a fork a spade.
I for one will never be a fan of fwd, if all the manufacturer likes, let them turn to fwd to cut cost and stipend profit, but i cant patronize them, period.... you have said it better than i could. front wheel drive is a bore and no serious manufacturer make them in numbers except the japanese. the lack of road feel in a front wheel is always a big turn off for me. |

MduZA: only three Nigerian companies are known by an average south African 1.super Eagles 2.Synagogue church and 3.Boko Harams 1)-----Super eagles : you have never gotten a win as you keep searching for that ever elusive victory. 2)------ synagouge : it has morphed into a pilgrimage status as south Africans keep queuing up and receiving spiritual cleansing and psychological healing. I strongly believe that the new besieging of nairaland by south africans is as a result of long queues at the synagogue; so nairaland is a pastime to kill the long line. 3)------- boko haram : friends of Nigeria are wishing that the insurgency be defeated and things fall back to normal, South africa and co are wishing for the worse, hoping the disturbance will get worsen and our economic growth plummeted to allow them regain the top economic spot. it hasn't worked and won't. Nigerians aren't Zulu and co. We weather the storm better than any group in Africa. we are the China of africa; AND IT IS INEVITABLE WE SHALL SPILL ONTO YOU. |

mzilakazi: BEE is impossible in an all blacks countries. Dangote is a monopoly capitalist who let all Nigerians to dance to his tunes. He is having the show alone without any competition. Unlike in Mzansi, he would have had a tough time in an advanced economy. Nigeria's economy might have the biggest economy but it is still not yet advanced. if it were true Dangote is a monopoly, is he also enjoying monopoly in 16 african countries? i don't think so. attributing his success to monopoly is undermining Africa's growth indices. Your "advance"economy didn't help your expulsion from BRICs and isn't helping you grow as a few other African countries are now growing.
