I was trying to introduce one of my friends to TBills/Federal Government of Nigeria bonds /mutual funds and the likes. I even tried to persuade him to open a stockbrocking account . I swear the way he reacted eh !
Dude probably wasn’t convinced he won’t lose his money or something. I don’t understand.
I will never try to persuade anybody again to buy securities or even give anyone any financial advice .

Don't make same mistakes we made... Don't go buying materials only to get them and realise the seller or said pro do t practice what he or she teaches and got most of the said materials from YouTube.
Go to YouTube for starters, search for we design for beginners (aim for an hour plus video), blogging tutorials etc you will see lots of materials for free, just download and learn. Save your cash for hosting and domain or get Some1 to teach you for free and be loyal.
Get an offline job
Less than 10k won't start giving you good returns to sustain you (you fit give up o).
You can even start a Lil offline biz to help while you learn.
I repeat don't make same mistakes o

so on point. Had similar experience today, shoprite black Friday the crowd was so terrible had to leave. On getting to the market, an item on discount there for N3100 was being sold for N3000 (with out starting negotiations, of course when we start its going to be cheaper )

stanbic ibtc (you can even open the account via their app), AXA mansard (can open online also) all these for mutual funds (money market fund, would preserve your cash). Treasury bills, first bank, stanbic ibtc bank, gt bank, sterling bank I-invest app (by parthian partners, check on play store) to open online account and do all your transactions online

Yes, I had invested with some amount money yesterday. I think its really cool platform to make more money instead of letting cash lay fallow in savings acct with 4% interest rate. But according to what @Barrytone said, there is no compound interest in this, you will only get an interest on a daily basis.

I have a question though. How can I ask my bank officer to let my Tbills be running on a compound interest rate?

with the I-invest app, I guess I would have to ask them this. But asking other banks is simple while creating or filling the form for the investment, you simply tell them or indicate it.

Check out sterling Bank I-invest app it's on Google play store, also check out mutual funds (stanbic ibtc bank gives you a quick start with their app) for mutual funds, take their money market fund (mmf). Would mention you in some nice thread about both. Happy reading. Diamond Xtra account also has good interest rates

The app is more like fix deposit with higher rates. But is good for offshore investors, rather than tie down money, u get interest while you wait. I just got my money back and ready for next primary market. Made about 98k for the waiting period. Better than 4% savings interest.

You make use of I-invest? How much did you invest and what was the interest like, how many days?.
Already downloaded the app but am yet to invest

How do I calculate daily interest for stanbic ibtc mmf. I know their daily score is about 11%. But I still don't get how to calculate their daily added interest.
I was calculating 11% of 40000 = 4400 grin
