fomskhalifa:We got introduced to someone here. You can send a pm |
Now people are opening your old files and doing background checks on here too? No one is safe anymore. #wakapassmodeactivated |
It's better to go with copies, The VO can verify your hubby's visa. There are stories here about people who went to the embassy with valid visas only to have them voided by the VO because of perceived discrepancies. Please go with copies just like you planned to avoid stories that touch shabbey09: |
In that case, in addition to the letter of consent, go with a copy of his visa page, I'd have said go with his passport but in case the VO already has bad plans... All the best and come to gist us after. shabbey09: |
Doesn't hurt to have it. But if I may ask, why is daddy not accompanying you guys? shabbey09: |
There are a lot families and babies who would benefit from that gesture but aside that, it's not everyday baff up for your baby, I presume sometimes you'll want to tone down on the baffs; these type of clothes come in handy. firsttymum: |
firsttymum:Thank God for your life and your family as well. So you went through all that? Who would have thunk so |
You think digging through archives of NL to find interview transcripts, POE experiences, hospitals, doctors etc is easy? Finding you guys on Twitter was really a piece of cake compared to that. True I found you on @nerf's tl but I still would have regardless. All I need do is look for a certain signature chuckle ![]() firsttymum: |
@nefertitiram. Not one to pass up a healthy challenge, I decided to invest some time into blowing your cover. It wasn't as hard finding you on twitter. Needless to say finding @firsttymum was subsequently a cake walk. Hello mommies ![]() |
twingirls:We had a still birth one time too but even at that, I can't say I understand how you feel; the planning, preparation, long trip and even money spent...I am really sorry for your loss. Please take solace in the fact that you have those wonderful people with you. You will need to pick yourself up; your doctor may have advised on what to do to prevent reoccurrence, please heed this advice, then you and Oga can get busy again. Don't worry, it will end in praise |
kkbabygirl:I wish your daughter recovery and pray peace and happiness into your family. Seek service of immigration lawyer like people are recommending; I assume you've been in US for a while so your 6 months is already counting. Whatever you do, the health of your girl is what should be paramount, everything else is secondary. |
firsttymum:A friend in Houston at present, told me about her friend being turned back at the POE; It may or may not be the same person. Be that as it may, this was definitely bound to happen. We should be aware that those guys are looking for the minutest reason to deny us entry, we shouldn't make it easy for them by travelling ill-prepared or telling needless lies or even putting ourselves in a situation where we come across as dishonest thereby making the Americans generalize Nigerians as crooks |
Netflix is now live in 130 more countries, offering its service to billions of potential new customers. The streaming video service is now available in countries including Azerbaijan, India, Vietnam, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey and Indonesia. "[We are now in] nearly every country of the world but China," CEO Reed Hastings said at CES on Wednesday. Netflix had been live in about 60 countries and debuted in Asia in September. At the time, Hastings said he was working on plans to be in every country in the region by the end of 2016. Several countries are off-limits for now. Netflix said its service "won't be available in Crimea, North Korea and Syria due to U.S. government restrictions on American companies." The countries added on Wednesday are mainly in Africa and Asia. Source: http://money.cnn.com/2016/01/06/media/netflix-130-countries/index.html |
How do you guys do this? Isn't this post to be an anonymous forum or did I miss the memo? Abeg somebody invite me o! I'm still in holuday mood nefertitiram: |
I think the question was wrongly worded. A better way might have been, "How long does it take on the average to get all documentation after delivery". And then she can do her calculation. Remind me to never get on your bad side, Firsty ![]() firsttymum: |
Congratulations to you on your pregnancy Apeke. From you post, it looks like this is your first pregnancy, we are all happy for you. As a matter-of-fact, your case isn't at all peculiar; people have been issued visas they never used on this thread and there is no way that is a crime. If you're applying for a renewal though, you should be prepared to answer why you were given arguably, the most highly coveted visa in the world yet didn't use it. I don't have answers to your third question but to the first one: I've also read on this thread that you can land on US soil with a valid visa even if your visa would have expired by your planned departure date since you will be stamped in for a stipulated period of up to 6 months. Other people have opined that you should renew before expiration of that visa. Whatever you do, please remember to inform the embassy the purpose of your travel. It may be a good idea to also seek clarification from them regarding your second inquiry. Congrats once again Apeke1991: |
I came across this news on CNN about tornadoes rendering people homeless in Dallas. http://edition.cnn.com/videos/tv/2015/12/27/tornado-dallas-area-mcmillian-bpr.cnn I hope our mamas and dads there are safe. God be with you all |
Thank God you're fine. Sleep well, relax and surf away; it all shall soon pass neks31: |
That's great then. If you can, I also suggest that you mention to CBP that you'll be visiting later again in the year for child birth so it can be on record. All the best and Merry Christmas to you too. Licious801: |
Merry Christmas Everyone

What you should do is avoid the yeye POEs, plan your flight well, get necessary documents, be ready to answer all their questions, prepare to defuse any drama and start one yourself if you must. And pray You will not be deported by God's grace Don't forget to come back and share your testimony. Licious801: |
I can imagine that you pissed off madam a couple times while prepping her the interview, I'm glad it paid off at the end of the day. Congrats KDK: |
I remember on one of my Uber rides in US: the Nigerian driver who claimed to have been in America for 35 years where he had all his kids, had nothing positive to say about people visiting the US to give birth. In fact, he had nothing positive about Nigerians in general. I'm sure if he had his way, he and his family would be the only Nigerians allowed to live there. Since you can't rate your Uber driver a 0, I gave him a 1 and then gave an equally nasty comment. That guy reminds me a lot of this mother-whatever guy, I'll not be surprised they're related |
Checkout Intown Suites and compare the prices. All the best in your interview omodadi: |
Hey ma'am, merry Christmas to you too shrekandfiona: |
To lend my voice to this matter, I believe a lot of people are taking wrong advice from trusted people. I remember how our US based friends advised us to hide the pregnancy. These same people even pressured us to accept government aid when the baby came; we refused obviously. I told my colleague about this thread and our experience but he chose to go with an agent who "knows better" and they lied about their pregnancy. Now they have their visa but they have to fast and pray for months just to be allowed entry; not worth the risk if you ask me. Thank you to everyone who comes here to admit that they hid the fact that they were pregnant during the interview, I'm not judging you but y'all should know even people who Did nothing wrong get delayed for hours at secondary inspection. |
Good thinking but I disagree with the advice tho, the innocent baby should not pay for mommy's indiscretion and even if she's unable to renew her visa, she'll remember that she's the mother to a citizen and smile. favoredgal: |
I'd be damned if they already won't start to tough light the "change of intent" matter. I wish people who were turned back at the airport came here and shared their story, that would deter others firsttymum: |
Hmm. I'm concerned for the choice you made and I think the VO may have added a note to your profile. Not scare you but I think you need that prayer now more than before. babycake01: |
Thank me later. emeldamicheals:

I did my missionary journey at 225 and at the time envied those of you who did at 165. Now I feel like I was even lucky. God help us for this our country Merry Christmas to you too. Tvegas: |
