I am a silent reader on this thread and gained a lot from people’s contributions toward my visa application.

Below are my timelines

Application submitted: May 9th
Biometric done: May 10th
medical request: May 25th
Medical passed: May 26th
Police clearance request May 26th
Police clearance submitted for both South Africa and Nigeria: May 26th
BVl: August 4th
PPR: August 25th

Don't give up if you only received BVL, I got PPR after 21 days of receiving BVl.
Special Thanks to gcmswriters for always answering my questions and support.

[quote author=Tsquare2016 post=113368279]This is Motun260 who posted here in April that i got medical request 13 days after submission.

Have being very busy in fact it was hectic this past few weeks because the company I work with is an accounting firm basically this period we are very busy. Am so sorry for not posting my timeline because all documents I used was gathered from this forum. This my story long oooo and also ignore any grammatical error.

Long post alert regarding this Canada journey in fact I just told my husband let’s try once again which to me is will be 50/50 because I don’t want to put much hope in studying at this country called ‘Canada’.
My husband applied for a study visa in 2018 and was refused, he was given his refusal letter after 3 months here in South Africa. I was so down and hurt because I fasted for a whole month with lots of prayer that’s why I said my hope is no more on this Canada study visa.

One day I saw a lady (a family friend) posted on facebook that she’s in Canada with her two kids on study visa, I told my husband and said this lady is a full time house wife ooo and she’s is Canada now with her two kids.

My conversation with my husband goes like this

Motun – Babe let’s apply for this Canada again, let me give it try
My husband – You are not serious where is the money for Canada Visa
Motun – God will provide and I believe in that even though na only application money I get. I told him let’s tell so and so to assist us with money for sponsor. My husband said no problem just apply to cheap colleges.

My husband approach one big egbon for sponsor he said no problem and from my side i approach one of my elder brother as the main sponsor he also said no problem he will sponsor me and my 2 kids (6 & 2 yrs)

I applied to 2 colleges (Prince Edward College and Seneca College), I submitted my transcript,
2 years Diploma in Business Administration - Management
2 years Diploma in Business

I gathered all the documents that I needed for visa application and now I needed money to pay 1st semester school fees but there is no money but I managed to borrow money to get that schools fees paid, I said thank God minus one problem. My people when it was time to submit visa application that’s how those we rely on said they don’t have money but my elder that I wanted to use as main sponsor promise to add $5,000 and i needed +- $75,000 in Canadian dollars to cover 2 years schools fees and 2 years living expenses for both mother and 2 children so basically am looking for +-$70,000.

My husband – Motun since this people we rely on said they don’t have money what are we going to do now
Motun – Babe don’t worry we will get this money I trust in God. I told him to go to the bank to get credit card and also told them you want access facility account with credit card. Just take your 3 months payslips with you (Payslip was prepared by me)
My Husband – are you sure they will give me?
Motun - I said if one branch rejected you try and go to another branch they will approve it I believe in God.

My husband went to first branch he wasn’t granted, he was granted credit card and access facility at the second branch and was giving $12,000 when exchange to Canadian dollars. I said God is still doing wonders and I believe everything will be perfected.

I told my husband am going to prepare my payslips and apply for a loan at the bank today. I got inside the bank and told the lady am here for a loan of $21,000. The lady look at me and said sorry I can’t help you but that guy (another banker) will attend to you. Am sure in her mind she’s saying this foreigner because South Africa don’t like foreigners.
With God all things are possible that’s how this 2nd banker approve the loan ($21,000) and also approve another ($21,000) for access facility in case I might needed money urgently and bank might not grant me another loan but for them to grant me this loan have got good credit record that’s the advantage living in organized country. I submitted my study visa application online with 2 children visit visa on 31st of March 2022, 13 days after (excluding public holidays) my submission IRCC sent a medical request for the 3 application. The following day I receive another letter to provide my police clearance which wasn’t submit
tted with my application and I was giving 25 days to submit it.
I encourage everyone don’t give up God will do it, do your application yourself and submit genuine document. All the document you needed for your application is here on this forum if you can

Congrats on your PPR. I also applied from SA. My application is also following your pattern. They requested for police clearance which I have provided. How long did you wait for PPR from when you submitted police clearance?

My friend is a first time applicant. He applied on June 7 (3 days ago) and no biometric email till now. Background check is currently being processed.

I think there has been changes in the way they process applications. I could remember I got my biometric email immediately after submitting my online application and background check didn't commence until after six weeks.
My bro applied on 7th too and yet to get the biometric email.

Phocusjosh:
If you have a valid visitor visa, or a study or work permit, and you gave your biometrics in the past, your biometrics are valid from the date you gave your biometrics for a period of 10 years. You do not need to give your biometrics until the 10-year period expires.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/facts.html
But I think first time applicants should get email for biometric immediately if this new rule is in force now.

Hello everyone,

I must say I am very impressed with the detailed information that have been passed on this forum by patriotic citizens. Good eye opener. I recently got an admission to study Master of Public Health. I am really taking my time to gather all documents required to apply for my study permit, also have been making my research to identify loop holes in denied visa applications and try to fill them when I start my application. Nairaland has contributed immensely to this.

Did my undergraduate in public health and graduated 2016, started service 2017 and I will be passing out from NYSC on the 12th of April, 2018. My uncle will be my financial sponsor and he is a citizen of U.S.A and lives there. I have read all the documents he will need to provide to satisfy the financial support requirement during my application.

However, I want to know...as a recent graduate who has no employment offer, no land or personal assets as ties to home country, no spouse, no child, and am the second daughter in the family, how do i defend my home ties and intention to return to Nigeria after my study in Canada?

I anticipate your reply..thank you much
Congrats on your admission. please which university gave you masters in public health. I have sister that is interested in public health. Thanks
