Graciouscharis: Have you tried using syringe without the needle? You put it inside the mouth on the inner part of the cheek and release it gradually. I will try it. Thank you! |

@Twogreatnations_ thanks for the tips, tried it but didn't work as the drug(antibiotics) is so concentrated she knew the difference. |

Twogreatnations: Hehehe, welcome to my world before before o. The only way my babes will take a drug without throwing it up is: I make small formulae( a bit creamier) with oats, and mix the drug, then give them . Put little food in the spoon , then put a bit of the drug using a dropper in the same spoon , then feed as though he is eating. That's what works for me. Speedy recovery to your Lo
NB; You might use the cereal he loves more to do it. Thanks. Not sure how this would work for us as she currently doesn't accept food except formula. I will try with formula. Thank you |

Misstolaly: 4 spoons formula + 1 spoon gerber rice = 150mls of water..... That's the way I mix it. i think you should reduce the milk or give enough water afterwards |

Misstolaly: Hi Moms, I started my baby on Gerber rice (supported sitter) on Saturday (her 4 months birthday). I mix 4 or 5 spoons of aptamil with 1 spoon of gerber rice and she's taking it relatively well. Now the challenges are 1. she's yet to have a poo and she poops everyday or on alternate days. I've started alternating formula and mixed food (formula+solid) since midnight and even gave her 30mls of water to induce poop. what else can i do? 2. I use tommee tippee bottles and the mixture of aptamil and gerber is not flowing well at all. I even repierced the holes on 3 bottles again, yet no improvement, she's getting frustrating sucking the bottles. The munchkin latch bottles that I have are better off but I only have 2 that came with the sterilizing unit. Does tommee tippee teat size 3 have bigger holes or where can I get latch bottles to buy in lagos? 3. How do I feed her when I increase the ratio of solid to formula? she's starting creche soon and using spoons and bowl is more susceptible to germs. 4 or 5 spoons of milk and 1 spoon of cereal to what mls of water? For the bottle, would have said you should cut with a scissors instead of piercing, but at 4 months the flow may be too much. |

There's a mama that asked about combing baby's hair. Can't remember your moniker and I was lazy to type that day. I want to share a tip and I hope you get to read this. Get a spray bottle, add some water and oil (coconut, olive, castor). You can use one or combination of oil. Anytime you need to comb the hair, spray the mixture, detangle with your hand and comb. It's a lot easier that way. However, there are ready made detangler, if you prefer to buy. |

jazzyjazz: That depends on the wipe you're currently using. I use cussons 3 in 1 wipes and it's 750 here. That means it's 150 wipes total The cheapest wipes on mfa is pampers and it's 4 packs of wipes in a pack and it's about 1500
I still plan to buy the wipes sha. I want to see if it's the same as the one they sell in naija the asda wipes is 3300 thereabout (much cheaper at checkout) for a pack of 12*64. |

@spiceamiee like other mamas have said. Ask around for a creche that provides daily services. There was a time I had a presentation and nobody was available, taking her there wasn't even an option. I had to go that route and we were fine. Pele |

joshipura: pls i need help! my child is three months plus, she is exclusively breastfed but recently stopped feeding well therefore not adding weight. i want to introduce Friso gold rice to her but still confused on which formula milk to add for her to support breastmilk. The fact that she isn't sucking well, are you sure she would accept something else? At 3 months, all the baby needs is milk. If you want to introduce formular, then it depends on how much you can afford. |

Damisinto: Hello senior mummyz. Kindly help a FTM with these questions 1) My two weeks + baby prefers sleeping on his back instead of his sides as we were told at the hospital, yes I pad his sides well to ensure he doesnt turn but he feels so uncomfortable till I remove the side guards and sleeps better. How dangerous is it?
2) he streches A LOT, he doesnt cry while stretching though but I just feel its too much for his age as he does it like an adult. What could be the cause or is it normal?
Thank you all for your prompt response sleeping on the back is the preferred option so it's not dangerous. Stretching is also normal so no worries. |
