Ammy5565:
Please o mamas, help your girl. Our birthday is tomorrow but the party will be on Sunday, i'm trying hard to put a plan together but a few hitches here and there. Pardon me if some sound ridiculous like the first nw. We plan to go for our photoshoot tomorrow(shebi any good studio like studio 24 can do it, i'm in ph) as he will be exactly one tomorrow but tomorrow is also his 12 months immunization and we have to go in the morning. The question now is will he be in a good mood ans and smile well seeing that the 12months immunization plenty no be small? Or do i schedule it another way? Because we need to drop the pics with the printer to start work on the customized exercise books same tomorrow.
Second question : Please any ideas for things we can add to the gift pack apart from the exercise books, very very affordable things please.
Third question : Ideas on fun games they can play that day. Its a small party, with just few kids but i really want them to have a good t
your baby's reaction at 9months immunization would give an hint. The shot isn't as bad as previous ones. Just to cry at the point and that's all so I think the photoshoot can still be done. The picture shows the things I included in the party pack

Gud eveni mama's,... Pls my baby is a mnth n 3weeks old she is struggling to poo n she gases. Pls wat can I do to ease her o.

Cc: All Sabi mama's
Its normal. Your baby will outgrow it. You can however help by giving warm tummy massage or the bicycling movement. Excluding breastfeeding requires no water.

Good afternoon mama's.
Abeg, make una help me ooo, my baby cried alot yesterday without no reason but dis morning, I notice some spot on his body(smtin like measle) n he is running temperature. He is a year n 5month old. Ave use pcm for him but no changes yet. What else can I do/use?
Mama's, help me choke mouth for my matter, plsssss
did you measure the temperature with a thermometer? Cos the hand deceives o. If yes, the major thing first is to bring the temperature down, try ibuprofen/neurofen in place of pcm and do tepid bath. If the temperature still doesnt subside and there are other symptoms pls go to the hospital

That's what I do too. It's almost 2 weeks I started and she hasn't forgotten. She still tries to suck the 2 fingers even while inside mitten. I hope she forgets soon or she will have to keep wearing the mitten ad infinitum
Keep trying. Its not a good habit to ignore

Being too sugary is one of the reasons why I did not go for it.

I will try infacol or SMA Gold for now.

Please any mama that knows a suitable one should also suggest.
Thanks.

Plssssss let someone tell mi my hospital has not just duped mi of 30k cry cry
So i took my son for 12month immunization, only for d nurse to tell mi dat its only vit A dat my HMO covers dat will hv to pay for meningococcal conjugate (16k) and MMR - chicken pox (14k). Anyway i paid cos i was rushing to take him back to creche den head back to work. Now thinking back am feeling cheated and financially drained ( unplanned expenses) these are my concern 1) even if its not free, is it that expensive?
2) its really necessary or complusory to take them cos still hv to take another MMR and chickenpox shot @ 13month
Pele. I paid 6500 for the MMR-chicken pox at UCH... Was told the meningococcal was 9000 though they said the schedule for it has changed so we were not given.

JukkyB:
Pls mums, is there any successful way of stopping baby from sucking his/her fingers? When I noticed LO singled out 2 of her fingers (index and middle) and started sucking them repeatedly, I became worried and resorted to wearing her mittens and socks. I thought she was already forgetting as she hardly put that hand in her mouth but I still found out she sucks them at any given opportunity. Saw her sucking them few mins ago, she pulled the mitten (this mitten isn't the regular type, quite long...) Pls how can I stop her, everyone including hubby said I should leave her to suck but I don't want her to. How long will I continue to cover her hands? Make una help me o. She's 3 months and 2 weeks old.
what i did was to wear it for her 24/7 for a whole week, by the time i stopped she had forgotten about it. You would have to change the mitten regularly. I hope it works for you too...

tank u ma, d firsts were well formed BT d later 3 are nt well formed like d former. I'm on exclusive breast feeding. the thing is if she mess like dis na shit go commot.
in that case, ors and zinc(10mg) would help. You give the ors after every loose stool.

hello mamas aw has been ur day good I hope. well pemisire has pooped 6times today. shld I b worried..... or is dia any action I can take. she is 4months
it depends, is it well formed or loose? Are you on exclusive breastfeeding or mixed? If it is well formed then there is nothing to worry about especially if its exclusive breastfeeding.

MamaDG:
Please my baby has refused to crawl at 7months+ and some mothers advised me to bath him with Epsom salt to reduce his weight that his weight has been hindering him from crawling. He weighed 9kg at 6months. He can raise his chest with his two hands but to raise his hips up is where the issue is. He doesn't make attempt to pick anything outside his reach no matter how beautiful the toy is but he is very good on his walker. he is a very gentle and lovely boy. People's advice got me thinking because I don't really see any problem with his growth until they called my attention to it.
Pls your baby will crawl when he is ready. Dont put him or yourself under unnecessary pressure.

Good evening everyone.pls.my baby is 6/weeks and his poop has been green for a week.he is.on nan1/and formula. My mum said its due to overfeeding.my breast doesn't flow too well so he takes more of formula.am not comfortable with the colour.sabi mums abeg advice.
Green poo is sometimes due to insufficient feeding rather than overfeeding. If you are so sure he is not underfed then you have to go to the hospital because a week is a long time.

@zaynie we thank God for Muna. God will keep them all for us. When i got to the hospital today, the doctors made me feel i was worrying over nothing. They sent us home with drugs. Had to come back in the night since she wasnt keeping anything down. A doctor still made a remark that she wasnt weak. God will deliver us..

Thank you. Just got back from the hospital. Drugs were prescribed.

sorry @ age mixup.
teething isn't responsible.

its best she is seen by a doctor.
it might be malaria or a viral or bacterial infection. . . . .

take her to the hospital asap.

teething at 24months (almost 25months) is not responsible for stooling, vomiting and loss of appetite.
thanks will do. She's about 13 months not 24

In addition to what the other mamas said, when u inject d drug in her mouth, just blow breeze on her face immediately so that she swallows the drug, my baby's paediatrian demonstrated this to me when I had d same issue and it worked. Also my mum sprinkles little water on dd face immediately to stop her from vomiting.

What are you using to administer the drugs? Spoon or syringe?

You should get a syringe (see attached pictures). You can get one either inside the pack of foreign drugs such as calpol or you can buy one (ask for a 5ml syringe) from a pharmacy (you do not need a needle).

Using a syringe to give a child a drug is a lot easier.

You carry your child on your laps, hold down her hand and then ‘inject’ the drug into the left or right side of her cheeks. You have to be patient and do it slowly. This means you object say 1ml or 0.5ml, pause for a few minutes and keep ‘injecting’ in little amounts until the syringe is empty.

Remember the drugs goes to the side of her cheeks and not the back of her throat or directly on her tongue and you have to be patient. Very little quantity at a time. This means she won’t vomit or choke on the drug.
thank you so much. Will get it asap. Thanks for the detailed description
