The Shocking Thing That Happened While I Was Masturbating Many Years Ago

Masturbation is something I really struggled with during my final years as a teenager while still living a life of sin. But this didn't stop even after i had become saved, as the habit for some strange reason stubbornly refused to leave me, as some others which I also struggled with beforehand, like stealing and cheating that immediately left, to prove that a remarkable change had taken place in my life.

It was a function of the sexual lust that yet persisted and took me quite a while to overcome even as believer. But although I seriously struggled with the act, it wasn't that I really liked it, because I can't remember ever liking masturbation even as a sinner, but how i was desperately praying to God at the time to help me out as i was fed up the habit.

So if I was already uncomfortable with it as a sinner to the extent that I was asking God for help, how much more after I got saved?
However because it was a result of sexual lust, my mindset after I got saved was that instead of me to fornicate, it was better I masturbated because I saw fornication as a sinful act involving two persons while masturbation was just one.

But something happened one day while I was masturbating that shocked me to my bone marrows.

It was while I was ejaculating, that I suddenly heard a bird's voice uttering sounds in sync with me and the emotions I was going through at that same point, as though it was climaxing with me. And it started once I started ejaculating and also stopped immediately It was over.

It was then it began to dawn on me that contrary to my belief at the time concerning masturbation, that I wasn't really alone in the act even though it appeared so, but there was at least someone else sharing that moment with me even though the person wasn't visible to me.

This was really an eye opener for me and could explain why at the time I used to find myself having sex or fornicating in dreams which eventually leads to my ejaculating in the physical. I could remember that it was a thing of concern for me then because it obviously didn't feel right, but I appeared too powerless to prevent such an outcome in the dream.

But what I've come to learn about dreams is that it's more less a reflection of what takes place in the physical. In order words, someone to a large extent determines the outcomes of his dreams by what he does in the physical realm.

So the reason I was completely powerless to prevent myself from having sexual intercourse with a lady or ladies in the dream at the time, was because of what I was doing in the physical. For instance, the sex I found myself having with a lady in the dream was pretty much the same sex that was taking place when i was masturbating in the physical realm. Only that in the dreams, the person or persons I was having sex with while masturbating were now visible to me.

Hence there's no way I could stop that outcome of having sex in my dreams without stopping masturbation in the physical realm, because the physical realm was the only place I had power to stop the sex that was taking place in the dreams.

Hence i had to stop masturbation, because I already detested the act, but this realization now made it even more urgent. However it wasn't really easy to achieve that but I was determined, and didn't allow God to rest on the matter. I so badly and desperately needed to defeat that habit and eventually God granted me the desire of my heart as I became completely free from masturbation. That is, I was free indeed!

Also the sex in the dreams completely stopped, to prove that it was really the masturbation that exposed me to such attacks and devices of the devil which also caused me to be having sex in the dream world.

It felt really good to see myself walk in the victory over such a sinful habit that held me bound for quite a while, something I had desired for a long time. Hence when I hear of people yet struggling with masturbation and sexual sins, I understand what it feels like having been where they were in the past, but my experience tells me that if God could do it for me that today i am completely free of such a habit, He could also do the same for them.

I pray that God would help as many as are earnestly desiring to overcome this habit even as He helped me. In Jesus name. Amen!
