Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Army Dssc & Ssc 2015 Aspirants by lilchris04: 6:05pm On Mar 27, 2018 |
Evening guys! This is very good. Keep up the good work. I want to make enquiries about the DSSC entry into the Nigerian military, particularly, the NAF. 1. As a medical graduate, at what level of one's career is it advisable to enlist for this course in order to enter? 2. Well, how long will the course run for after one is enlisted? 3. Are the doctors required to participate in the war/killing sessions? Alright actually, I mean will they be actively involved in the hot mission zones against terrorist? 4. What is the pay for air force doctors (or Nigerian military doctors in general) in comparison with the pay for the average civilian doctor in Nigeria? (Figures may not necessarily be stated). 5. Also, is there a stipulated compulsory time of service for them in the force? 6. Lastly, perhaps for now, if the level of entry for a doctor is after NYSC (i.e. house officer), is it possible for such a person to further their PG residency training while serving as a military personnel in the NAF? I hope these questions are answered please. I'll be more than grateful. |

eliteguy01:Evening Sir. Please be informed that there is no course called anatomy in OAU. I mean, it's never possible to obtain a bachelor's degree in anatomy in OAU. If perhaps you're still in this state, hoping for any admission status, I must advise that you visit the OAU admissions office in the senate building ASAP. |

Afternoon predites. How's the break going? Try to read this: https://www.nairaland.com/2492326/oau-predegree-admission-2015-2016/47#52393135 It's a page containing pieces of advice for you guys. I wish you all success in your pre-degree program. |

Wow. All these I'm seeing here are strange to me. I guess things have changed since I did O.A.U. pre-degree in '14/'15. Nevertheless, someone confirmed all you've said here. It is well. I believe this should make predites for this session ('16/'17) tighten their seat belts. It's disheartening, however, to see that most of these predites are very unserious and are taking matters concerning their admission with such levity. You see them already being caught away by many social activities around the outskirts of Moro town. What a pity! Please, like AleXis0r said, current predites you have to prepare and pray well towards your UTME which will undoubtedly come up around Feb./Mar., 2017. It's no child's play anymore. Admission into the university, most especially into a university as prestigious as O.A.U., is a stiff competition. Two things matter most here :- 1. Your relationship with God. 2. Your relationship with your books (and not any useless girl/boy)! Please, take it serious. Pity your folks, at least, who spent a lot on your fees. It'll pay off in the end, hardwork definitely will. God bless. 3 Likes |

Morning to everyone here. Good to know that most of you have successfully completed your pre-degree program and now await your admission into the various courses you all applied for. Notwithstanding, unfortunately a good number of you couldn't make the cut-off mark (60%) and as such "MAY" not be offered a provisional admission into the university. Either way, I trust OAU PD has undoubtedly taught you new things and also elevated you academically, morally and probably also spiritually. I would strongly advice that you hold on to those "things" you acquired with all your might. I assure you, whether or not you would be finally admitted into the prestigious university, in life you would need those "things" I earlier spoke about. For everyone here, God has a stipulated plan and life purpose. The fact that anyone scored too low or isn't, by one way or another, able to secure an admission this year doesn't conclude that he/she is not intelligent or isn't destined for success. As a matter of fact, success doesn't always have to come on a platter of gold—I can boldly attest to this! Hence, my sole advice to people in such category here is to carefully set (and, of course, achieve) new God-inspired goals. You'll be surprised at how far this will help you when you start succeeding. To those who made it (your final contact scores obviously cannot provide any better proof than they already do ), I congratulate you. I hope you know you'll be waiting a long period at home before you resume next year so I'll just advice you find something doing at home. Decide what you want to do on your own so that you don't feel bored or just waste the long long holidays. It may be something you're very passionate about or something that will earn you more cash . Whatever it is, please put your heart to it. I wish you all success in all your life's endeavors and I hope to see most of you as students of this great citadel of learning, students of "THE GREATEST", students of one of the best not to say THE BEST university in Nigeria: The Obafemi Awolowo University. DrAmanda:Please someone with good information about the school should reply this. Also, if I may add to this, which teaching hospital are they using? Cos honestly, when I checked MDCN official website I didn't see any teaching hospital from Ondo state approved b MDCN for internship training. Not even a federal medical centre. I'm not criticising please. I may be wrong I just need someone with good knowledge about this to correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks. |

Education / Re: OAU Predegree Admission 2015/2016 by lilchris04: 11:30am On Nov 10, 2015 |
Abuhaneefah21:My night was OK. I would recommend any hostel in Powerline area precisely Mentor or Zion hostels. I would also suggest Ayo Arike. hostel as it is not far from OAUCDL campus. Mentor hostel takes like 15 minutes of walk to campus gate. In fact, 15 minutes is too much. Most of us then, especially me, weren't always prepared for classes even while it was obvious that BCPites had one of the most convenient time-tables in CDL(By convenient I mean they always didn't have early lectures). As a result of our lazy or maybe sluggish attitude, we always ended up rushing to campus. We would barely use 10 minutes rushing there. Mentor hostel is also not too far to most of the places where predites go to read during the day and overnight e.g. Christ Elites, C.A.C., DLCF, RCF, and others. Ex-predites oya make una rep una hostels na. Lool. 1 Like 1 Share |

Abuhaneefah21:Morning Bro. I don't think it's the norm there, I mean the first come first serve ish. I know barely little about the female hostels so I'm referring to male hostels oh. I paid late and I was still given mentor hostel which, to me, was very OK. Maybe you should state clearly what your hostel preferences are. As in, regarding the advantages you were referring to. Stay blessed. |
Education / Re: OAU Predegree Admission 2015/2016 by lilchris04: 2:01am On Nov 10, 2015 |
Abuhaneefah21:Lool. Mentor really? I feel honoured. Thanks. It's true the fees are always somehow huge but I believe they're worth it (My opinion though). Now, regarding the students of Foreign Links (Foreign Linkers as they're normally called), they could get very nasty and hostile to predites. Honestly I don't know why but I think they're always jealous of the fact that they know predites are going to get admitted into a more prestigious university than their "Linkage university", as my LT C lecturer used to call it, and hence try to make their stay in Moro a regretful one or maybe because they feel intimidated by predites. Although, some of them also partake in the pre-degree programme, one needs to be very careful in dealing with them. Better still I would advise you steer clear of their paths. If you mind your own business and avoid returning to your hostel late at night (That's their favourite "operation" time), you'll have no problem by God's grace. I personally had no encounter with any of them. Please ex-predites help me shed more light on this issue. Cheers! |
