Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme for 2015/2016 session.
The exam will be a CBT exam and candidates will be tested on 100 questions of which English language is compulsory. A minimum score of about 50% is advisable to gain entry into the program. Aspiring Pre-degree students and ex-predites can interact here and share important ideas about the program.
Eligibility:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 O’Level Credits in 5 subjects at a maximum of two sittings including English Language (for ALL Courses), Mathematics (for Science-based and Social
Science-based Courses) and Literature-in-English (for Law).
Programme Description:
The programme is an intensive coaching curriculum which aims at ensuring adequate exposure to fundamentals of concepts and preparation of eligible students
for University admission and a good head-start for University work. The courses of study which are those of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) subjects include English Language which is compulsory for all students, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Economics, Geography,
Government, English Literature and Religious Studies. Students are required to choose three subjects in addition to English.
An overall score of 60% and above in the examinations and continuous assessment (comprising regular tests, assignments and the end of Contact period
examination) is required to be qualified for consideration for admission into Year 1 of the relevant degree programmes of the University. Admission is based strictly on merit and entry requirements and in proportion to the admission quota of the University for the various Faculties.
Students are admitted into the Pre-Degree Programme under the following broad options and subject combinations:

You are not likely to need English. Our English is advanced. You need Biology, if you can photocopy it. I'll advise you to come early, there's not much time left. Good luck.

Morning Drs. & aspiring Drs. How was your night? I'm an aspiring medical student of OAU. Actually, I feel the passion to study medicine & I know, by God's grace, I'm in already. Nonetheless, I have heard various things about this course. I'm not moved. I just want our "Ogaas" in the thread to shed more light on what the course is & what it means to study medicine in Nigeria. What's the least duration a medical student is expected to read for daily? I hear the reading never stops. Lol! Is it really as hard as people say it is?
