Only by digging past all the muck that is the doctrines and traditions of men(lies) can you get down to the Truth that is Jesus Christ whose word is Living Spirit(Spirit of Truth), and it only by accepting(trusting) and obeying His Truth(Jesus Christ) that you can become a follower of Jesus Christ, a Son of God(Holiness).
While you continue to accept(trust) and obey His Truth(Jesus Christ) still, you become born of the Spirit(Spirit of God) who then leads you to do the Will of the Father(Righteousness).
I bet you did not know this from any of the doctrinal teachings of your MoGs you have listened to date.
