I'm trying not to rush to hospital as the pain isnt regular like earlier on... But few mins ago, i had this pain down in my vg* for like a min and off it went.

In other news, what im having now is like menstrual cramp a bit far apart and bearable.

I no want make i reach hospital finish, make dem come send me back.

BTW, dh was jokingly telling me two days ago when i told him to beg LO to come out that he said friday or saturday. Imagine! Witchcraft.... He even said few mins ago that he said overnight..... Lol,

lol.... Iyaff kee me wit lafta. Abi nau, thats how a colleague was preaching to me ind office saying her baby was 2.6kg at birth cuz she was cautious of what she ate. And for me, any baby below 3kg is a no-no. Episotomy or woeva, i want moderately sized baby, not small..... And im papa sef big n tall. The last time i saw his leg during scan, e long.... Imagine make e no cum get flesh for body..... No joorh.

But honestly, i think it has more to do with gene than food and if its food, my first four month was hell..... Pap in the morning, garri at night, e cum be like say i be village gehl, chai! no fruit, no nothing.... Make i no cum chop now? Iz nor gewd ooooo

the thing is, please get there as early as 7am on monday and go with at least 3k.

You will have to register at the reception close to the gate with 200 or 250 at most, after the registration, just ask for the ante-natal ward, proceed there and wait. One fair middle aged woman may give you ppl number or so. Just take note of the people yu met on seat, your files will be brought there by the staff...and the moment the midwives/doc. are around, you will be attended to but they will ask you to pay #100 and will ask you to go for test at their lab, costs 2100. Thats all.....

I hope they stop this their strike ooo its be coming too much this days.I wish us all safe delivery.my ANC is team Friday ooo.

awwwnn..... I registered at the State General Hospital, not UITH. It is well, hopefully the strike wud av been called off. Safe delivery to us all.

Have you never met the inlaws before?

Im Igbo, DH is yoruba. One of the first times I met his aunties I hugged them The talk that followed eh you would think I slapped someborry. My DH sha gave them a stern warning to always remember our tribal differences. Since then my dear, I kneel (first then hug) to greet everyone even my own people so I dont make mistake.
So my own list,
-Always kneel down to greet.
-If you sabi the language, you are lucky. I understand but I dont speak..well except for greetings.
Make sure you always greet..Eku joko, Eku ile, Eku dide, Eku iyagbe
-I don't know if the igbos do this as well, but when you go visiting always offer to help in the kitchen. Do igbos do this Personally my kitchen is my private space, I usually dont like other people being in it so I find it awkward going into people's kitchens. But I have learnt to always offer to help.

It's been a while I visited this thread n im very sorry my phone was bad and i have been down.

Three months after the birth of my son and few days after my mum had left, I decided to job hunt/ learn a skill in order not to stay idle at home but no something else was in stuck for me, I started feeling headache, backache n heartburn complained to dear husband and he said I should go to the hospital, I said no I will get some over the counter drugs thinking its malaria but dh insisted on going to the hospital.

I went to the hospital complained to the doctor n he had me tested for malaria n h- pylori n they both came out positive, then he prescribe some medicine me, I went with my son who was 4 months at that time because he also needs to see the doctor maybe that was why he didn't include pregnancy test, I went home and started taking the medicine as prescribed yet no improvement, I had to go back to the hospital and a list of test was written again this time I asked d doctor to include pregnancy test, and yes it was positive, I was down, frustrated, rain curses on whoever and whatever, cried and please forgive me mama's for mentioning this word here, I even taught of abortion because I was just thinking of what people will say, how do I handle it pregnancy and a baby, so many things crossed my mind, good n bad. I decided not to tell dh until I'm sure of what to do, to my surprise dh already knows don't ask me how because I don't know, he said I should increase my food portion since I'm eating for three and before I knew it he employed help. I was still contemplating on what to do because I really wanted to work, make my own money and the evil taught continued sometimes I use to think I will have miscarriage. God please forgive me.

So mamas let me not bore u with my long tails I've finally accepted my fate o although I've not started antenatal neither have i taken any vitamin which brings to my question will it affect my baby?

I'm five months gone and will be due October from my calculations because I gave birth October 6th n saw my period dat same October, Nov, Dec. n av nt seen it again.

you shouldn't be scared at all.... what if i tell you that i didn't take folic acid at all, how will i take it when MS nearly finish me....couldnt even drink water then , na so so akamu+ once in a while moinmoin i dey chop everyday then till around 20 weeks, and after the akamu sef, i must take gaviscon instantly ....and when i resolved to start taking it around 16th weeks...na so so forget i dey always forget....was so scared of malformation or so when i went for scan but to God be the glory. im in my 9th month now and i can say I have never taken all ds pregnacare of a thing, and all the test I've done so far came out clean....but sha, even before preggy, im a vegetable lover. i take vegetable like food and beans a lot....

im yoruba, but i love ibo soup cuz of vegetables....so, i treat myself nice with the varieties....cuz i know say, i no dey take drug kwanu. LO is doing fine and no any complications, God's grace ni. my last PCV was 30% and doctor its still okay but i ne gree o.... so, i took ugwu water and milk....will take it this weekend again.....

just make sure you eat healthy and take a lot of greens, fish and calcium & iron-rich foods... and i always try to eat at least one meat/egg per day....

but now, i can eat for africa
