Hi, it’s over 40 days I applied for ihs refund and yet to receive, while the email sent says: 28 days. What do you suggest I do? Also, will I get a notification when they refund it? Cos I don’t trust the person that owns the account number I used in the payment. |

Thank you so very much. This is helpful. elengine: 1. Get a UK format CV and come up with at least 2 different CVs. One for cleaning, casual warehouse and production job and one for your professional data analyst job.
2. Go to indeed, CV warehouse, CV-library and search for warehouse and production job. Make sure your cv aligns with the job specifications and ensure you send at least 30 applications in a day for a week then come back and testify. If you or your wife have a car, try and drive to the venue of the day of interview- e get reason for this.
Good luck.
Hello,
Please I am new in the UK for the past week, I've collected my BRP (which comes with NIS), opened a bank account, registered with a GP,... Is there anything I need to do?
Please I want to ask for job recommendations, any job at all. I live in Woolwich London, is their genuine job agencies I can register with to fasten my job hunting. Please I need suggestions, as I have no one here for guardian. Every relation and friends I had while in Nigeria has turned their back at me for reasons I can't fathom. Please brothers, you people are my last resort.
Thank you all. Hoping to get my stand through this platform . |

Thank you lots. Well appreciated. bigtt76: You have got a very powerful visa though so make the most out of it now before all the rogbodiyan take over
Since you got some skills ...next would be to start updating your CV to match the UK format (if you haven't already done that) and begin searching for jobs in that line. |

I hold a dependent visa Searching for any job at all. Can make many Nigerian dishes, data Analyst, hair stylist, Farmer. Was a public health worker before I left Nigeria. But don't wanna venture into that cos I lack the necessary trainings, so I need a job that requires little or no training so as to save up money for the necessary trainings. For now, I have no choice doing any legit work, hence it pays my bills. Thanks ReesheesuKnack: @ the bolded: No. NO. I repeat, NO. They haven’t. They. Have. Not. They are (probably) extremely very busy and possibly struggling big time too.
Now back to the crux. What sort of visa do you have? What sort of skills do you already have (from Naija)? What types/kinds of jobs are you eyeing? The answers will help folks to help you with recommendations. |

Hello everyone,
I'm at a crossroads in my career and seeking advice. I hold a master's in Public Health Education and a bachelor's in Health Education. I'm torn between pursuing a career as a Health Policy Analyst or a Health Promotion Specialist. I'm equally interested in both but would appreciate suggestions based on demand in the UK, job opportunities, salary, and overall professionalism. Thanks for your insights! |

Schoolhike: Lots of reasons.
If cv and cover letter are okay and relevant to the job, I think for every 10-20 applications to private companies should at least give you 1 interview.
Civil service should be say like 10 good applications should at least give you 3-5 interviews. Ok thank you. Please, would you mind taking a look at my CV and cover letter? Can I email you? |

Ooh wow thanks alot for your response. Please if you don't mind, what's NI? giselle237: Congrats. It is Tier 2 dependent visa, not spousal visa. Spouse visa is for partners of British citizens and settled persons. You are not in country yet, Your chances will increase then, also you would have your BRP and can apply for your NI when you enter. Post further questions on the living in uk thread for assistance. |

Thank you so very much. This is helpful. Kingsean: you have probably downloaded a malware. it happened to my colleague at work but his phone is now better than ever. back up your data and format the phone. once the phone restarts as new, make sure you install any software update from the manufacturer. pls make sure you download apps mostly from playstore. so many apps outside are not friendly to your phone especially those apps usually on infinix and tecno phones |
