In 2015, Tinubu nominated a Christian for Buhari as Secretary to the Government of the Federation so that the guy can build political friendship across the North. When the first SGF used millions s to cut grasses and was sacked by Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Buhari's orders, Tinubu nominated another Christian from the same North East as the new SGF. Tinubu did this to place the Christians in a position to gather friends across the core North because Tinubu wanted to use SGF as his Vice President.

However, the two guys were not able to form political alliance across the core North. So, they were weak politically, therefore Tinubu tried Yakubu Dogara despite being in PDP, you will recall that Dogara was everywhere with Tinubu during the build up to the party Primary and after the Primary, but Dogara too was not big enough to gather votes across the core North, so Tinubu had to settle for the Kanuri Wonder Boy Shettima.

Now, coming to present day, you will recall that Tinubu recently appointed Muri Okunola the then Lagos State Head of Service as his (Tinubu) Private Secretary, that was Babatunde Raji Fashola's first position to Tinubu before he was moved to Chief of Staff when Tinubu was governor. So, Muri Okunola is learning the ropes of Chief of Staff. If Gbajabiamila becomes too stained, Tinubu will send him aboard as Ambassador and move Muri Okunola up as CoS.

Tinubu plans for decades ahead, not just few years ahead.
