So sorry about that. Yes some of these can be symptoms of ulcer (caused by the pylori bacteria) but it's better to be diagnosed by a qualified health professional.
HealthPlease Recommend A Good And Affordable Gastroenterologist In Lagos by lincsnuel(op): 10:03pm On May 15
I suspect that I have "celiac disease". I had the symptoms of celiac like diarrhea that stopped after I started avoiding gluten products. This lasted almost 1 year with serious lower abdominal pain sometimes. Initially, I thought this was caused by a simple stomach upset and took metronidazole plus other medications like deworming medications and so on without any changes in my bowel movements.

I also developed pain in my knee joints, a sensitive feeling (slight pain) in my right palm (seems to come from my nerves) and my front head sometimes, then, my spine feels painful when I bend down and try to raise my head (when I kinda slouch and raise my head up, I feel pains in my back and especially lower back). The back pain was worse when I was eating gluten products (around April last year 2025 until March this year when I stopped eating foods containing gluten).

The major issue I experience is a constant noise in my stomach (borborygmi) and recently, I stay longer without getting the urge to use the toilet (probably because I eat once daily due to financial issues) but I don't experience serious diarrhea as before (this diarrhea came with mucus looking stool, no blood but it looked like I was literally shitting out my internals or something). So, my stomach keeps making consistent noise like something is blocking digestion but I don't feel any stomach pains like before, also, my stools (faecal matter) looks cut into small chunks and kinda soft (hard but looks like some mucus contents are in there), so, some start breaking after some time in the toilet water. I thought maybe it's my anal muscles cutting them like that but I don't know if it's as a result of the noises in my stomach.

Please, who has experienced these symptoms and which good/affordable gastroenterologist/hospital in the island do you recommend

Goodlyhrt:
Lol at the quoted. You’re using the internet, a phone, or a laptop 😀 tools your shallow mind couldn’t even conceive of if you were given a billion years.😁

For your information: all cultures have mixed and many have been erased entirely. The Anglo-Saxons were absorbed by the Normans. Gaul was swallowed by the Romans and eventually became France. The Arabian Peninsula saw countless local cultures wiped out and replaced with Islamic culture. This is not unique to Africa, that's how history works.

Africa’s tragedy is that we were isolated for much of history. While other continents were exchanging ideas, technologies, and institutions, raising the collective “technological floor”.. large parts of Africa were cut off by geography, thick forests, and poor navigable connections. Yes, we had great empires: Mali, Songhai, Benin, Aksum.. but make no mistake, we were no match for the great empires of other continents by the time we made contact with the west. The gap wasn’t racial it was a result of our consequences living in thick, inpenentrable enclaves.

Also cultural contact, even assimilation, isn’t inherently bad. The bad part is that we, as blacks, are too lazy and too distracted (distracted by crying and irrelevance) to use the leverage we have now, leverage our ancestors never dreamed of. The internet. Free access to global knowledge. Technology and education the world shares far more openly than in the past.

The Chinese were colonized, carved up, and humiliated, yet they rose by using the tools available to them. The Japanese were obliterated by two atomic bombs, but they didn’t waste decades hating the West..no, they rebuilt and now sit as equals at the table of power.

I implore my fellow blacks to start our own Renaissance, lets fast-track ourselves into that precarious committee of nations as equals, not as perpetual beggars for arms and aid. The constant ritual of blaming whites for how we failed is humiliating, self-defeating, and beneath the dignity of any people who claim they want respect.
I had to follow you. In a world filled with irrationality and lots and lots of propaganda, you're a rational voice. Nice reply.
EducationRe: Is Education Still The Key To Success? by lincsnuel: 12:00pm On Jul 23, 2025
Truvelisback:
In Nigeria, once your education doesn't make you financially bouyant or put food on your table, it seems useless to them. As a matter of fact, most of us believed that finishing tertiary institutions would make us turn rich over night, build our own houses and have our own cars. That was the drive we had that prompted us to tertiary schools.
Nobody that went to school believes that and you know. Most of us that finished tertiary institutions, believed that we would see a good paying job that will sort out our immediate needs and help us save up to enjoy a comfortable life. This belief isn't bad but because of the situation of the country (no good jobs, massive unemployment and underemployment due to Chinese, Indian and Lebanese companies that underpay their workers while overworking them and no action from relevant authorities like NLC, NUPENG, PENGASAN, etc.), people who were privileged to make wealth without going to school waste no time in attacking educated people.

Get us a leader who will be like Park chung hee, Lee Kwam Yeu, and Deng Tsiao-ping...then we can talk. Not the same old geng.

I wish Fulani herdsmen continued with their nomadic lifestyle without hurting anyone. If that was the case, none of these would have happened. Fulanis used to flock our community with their cows when we were kids and their young girls would walk round the nooks and crannies of our community selling the infamous "fura da nunu".

Everything changed when they started killing and raping villagers in their farms.

Democracy is greatly flawed, especially in Africa where leaders get absolute power and authority. Less than 0.1% of the population feed fat on the collective resources of the people. This is terrible, it grossly disobeys Pareto's principle.
