Mothers please help me o, I'm tired of my daughter always struggling to take drugs, she is just 2yrs but her sense ehn! She hates drugs even the vitamin C that's sweet, I even had to start using syring a pharmacist recommended, but once I put it in her mouth she spits out the drugs and blocks her mouth. I even close her nose and tilt her head backwards to force her, still she holds it in her mouth then spits it out when I release her. Please mothers what other way can I use I'm tired of always wasting drugs and money.

Its possible ma.. My baby is showing some symptoms and my mum said maybe it's teeth. When hubby exclaimed that she's too small, mumsy said my eldest brother brought out his first teeth at 3 months... On getting to church this evening too, my church member whose baby will be 3 months by month end said whenever she's sucking, her gum is always very hot on her nipples and she's suspecting teething too..
ohhh thanks sis I feel relieved now

Don't be worried, it's normal. Tepid sponge her to reduce the temperature and give her paracetamol. In less than 48 hours, everything will normalize.

Prepare you mind for 10 and 14 weeks immunization because she will cry and run temperature. Just give paracetamol and tepid sponge. Don't be worried.
thanks a lot... the big issue now is that she has refused sucking completely and hasn't eaten since morning.

Hope this is not late.
No dear
Boil is mainly bacteria infection. If it is on ur baby's head, you can rub extra virgin coconut oil. Coconut oil has antibacterial properties. The boil is meant to resolve within two weeks.
Remember to always keep the area clean and to prevent spread. If it hasnt and the case is severe, you can take ur baby to see a doctor to prescribe safe antibiotics.
Kisses to the little one.
Thank you very much for your reply I took her to the hospital and was told it's infection but I was prescribed Olicef antibiotics and vitamin C.... the boils have completely cleared up.

First use Tribotan Baby cream for a week, depending on how severe the rashes are. This is because I can see something looking like fungal lesions on her neck. Tribotan baby will handle any fungal caused rash/lesion cause it has clotrimazole. It will also help with bacteria a bit. But it is mainly a fungal topical cream.Apply morning and night on the places with the rashes, her face, her neck, hands, etcTribotan baby is like 500 or so

After the tribotan baby, always use Agnesia powder as her night powder. Now Agnesia will handle mainly the bacteria rash as its main composition is Chlorhexidine. A potent antibacterial.Apply all over her body especial neck, face and back. Can't remember how much Agnesia is sold.
She will be fine mama.
Thanks a lot mummy, please can this fungal infection also cause boil, because I noticed she has boils on her scalp.

No doctor will tell you not to give water to a mixed or formular fed baby.
Doctors only advocate for no water on exclusively breastfed babies.
Breastmilk contains a high percentage of water and nutrients to sustain a baby for the first 6months of life. Breastmilk isnt "heavy" thats why mothers are advised to breastfeed on demand or every 2 hours. The baby’s stomach at that time is still very small so giving water means taking up space for milk in the stomach thereby reducing the nutrients the baby should receive at each feed.
thanks for your response I would be giving her little water and more of breast milk

my breast milk isn't flowing well

Since you are giving formula, you have to give water to avoid constipation. If you were giving only breastmilk, there wouldn't be any need for water.
my husband is scared of the idea of water his doctor friend said it worsens colic in baby and causes the baby to fall sick in the nearest future but I gave my first son water very well before he was 6months. I don't know why doctors keep saying water is dangerous for a baby that is not up to 6months

Please mothers is it wrong to give babies below 3months water, I know medically it's wrong but my mother and mother-in-law has been on my neck to give water mainly because I'm using formula and also breastfeeding the baby.

lol... Mine refused d breast totally... Into exclusive pumping n breastfeeding... I stopped d formula cs my milk keep flowing lik river.

pls can i ask wat u were feeding her for dt 3days u were not lactating cs same happened to me n i panicked dt e mayb starving n den started givin him formula in which e took but wen i started lactating e refuse direct breastfeedin which made me start pumping breastmilk into bottle for him till date.
at first I was just putting my breast in her mouth like that for a very long time to see if it would make the milk flow(he would bite your nipple like crazy), but when I saw that nothing was coming out and she was super hungry, I had to give him Nan for the mean time, I planned on doing exclusive but she got used to Nan until my milk started coming out on the 3rd day, I have tried stopping the Nan but it's like even though I breastfeed her for hours she would still be hungry when I'm done so what I do is to breastfeed her more and give her Nan thrice or four times a day.

Have you a SB test to know the level of jaundice? Some jaundice resolve on its own, this will go with or without early morning sunlight while some increase rapidly as time progress. This require phototherapy and medication. You need to determine the level first, early intervention and treatment is very important. Welldone mama.
I didn't do the test I just noticed it was slight jaundice because her skin didn't show it was obvious, it was just the excretion from her eyes that was always coming out frequently on the first and second day and my breast milk wasn't coming out till the 3rd day after delivery, so I think breastfeeding her helped treat it. Also I asked the nurses on duty they checked her eyes and skin and said it's very little that it would go when I start breastfeeding.

how lil is d jaundice..? If it is as lil as its not obvious... Yes it can go on its own... Just mk sure u feed her very well so as d bilirubin will b pooped out of her body... As 4 d colic, if u can get infacol in ur area, gt it cos it wrks wonder if not... If ur baby is bottle feeding, gt an anti colic bottle, n more importantly burp ur baby alwz b4 u put her down after every feed... If ur baby is already a month old, u can gt grip water... These are ways u can relieve ur baby of colic.
thanks a lot for the advice, the jaundice is clearing up from my observation, she is no more excreating lots of those eye sh*t compared to when I gave birth to her, she would be 1 week old by tomorrow and I always make sure I burb her after each feeding.
