9jaRealist: Perhaps your grandparents and parents should go ask for free food then... But if you are dodging paying taxes, you should not expect the government to give you free food paid for with my tax Naira.
In the US, they say that the only certainty in life is death and taxes (and of course the US taxes its citizens on their worldwide income, so Americans in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world still pay US taxes). Meanwhile, in Nigeria, if we are brutally honest with ourselves, we would acknowledge that only Nigerians under the PAYE payroll or other withholding tax regime dutifully (even if reluctantly) pay their taxes timely and in full.
Taxes are the obligation of citizenship (or residency). It is what gives you a voice and the moral right to make financial demands on government. In other words, it is the financial part of that vaunted social contract between the government and the governed. Unfortunately, in Nigeria, the oil windfall (that until relatively recently was produced by foreigners) has caused the government to become un-accountable to the citizenry since it does not rely on tax revenue paid by citizens, and has similarly caused the citizens to demand public services without bothering to pay for it.
Frankly, Nigerian tax dodgers are just as societally immoral as the government they criticize. Furthermore, they are effectively “stealing” from those of us who pay taxes whenever they access public services paid for by our taxes. > Your last paragraph is all you should have written. Anyways, when the government decides to be irresponsible what do you expect of the citizens? To sum it all, what works in those countries is a "system that works". Our government have not even tried to put a system in place. If a parent is irresponsible their children will most likely be irresponsible. Same applies to government. Dog no dey born goat |

If Nigerian churches, mosque and all those entertainment idiots that call themselves billionaires online can come together to perform this Noble act it will go a long way.
But as usual, they always fail the acid test My guy forget these things you are typing here o. Most of these people and organisations you are listing here have their stories to tell. The churches and mosques you are quoting here provide their own electricity, security, water, all the basic necessities they provide for themselves so please cut them some slack. The entertainment people you are mentioning here what encouragements have they gotten? Many of them had to go through hell to get to where they are today now you want them to be doing charity for who? No social insurance, the ones they say they are sharing who are they sharing it to? Boys in Ogun and Lagos are busy disturbing the whole place because they are hungry and you are here trying to justice what I don't know. Guy... Make I just respect you and myself |

pat077: so the man can take custody of the child if he's a Muslim, but can't take custody if he marries the lady traditionally? Unfortunately it is the country we find ourselves. Different laws for "special citizens" |
Family › Re: How Do I Take Custody Of My Beloved Son? by linnyx: 9:03am On Jul 13, 2019 |
Chief, it's a simple case if the man is zmarried to his first wife under The Act i.e registry/court or church wedding then he cannot marry your baby mama as it's against the law unless he divorces his first wife. So if they try to go to the court to get wedded you can enter a caveat against a registrar certificate and stop the wedding from happening even before it happens.
Marrying her traditionally doesn't give him custody of the child legally even when traditions says otherwise unless the man in question is a muslim.
The only way the man can take custody of your child is as stated is: 1. Marries your baby mama legally meaning he'll have to divorce his current wife
2. If he's a muslim
3. If he legally adopts the child as is own oops!
My advice: double your hustle, hold on to God and believe in yourself. Things will turn out right |

Good job. I like the ending especially the morals of the story. But here is a summary of my own ending... The chubby man was able to revive Mike and when he came to he had a long thought about his life and how he has had two close shaves with death.
He thought of how Amaka came into his life and completely changed its course, he thought of all he has lost, his friends, the several cult fights and the many deaths as a result of just one mistake, the mistake of sleeping with Amaka.
At this point he made a decision to live right and change his ways; leave the sex behind, leave the gang and do all he can to live right for his son. He reasoned that he has enough to start all over again and he decided that is what he must do.
He was going to get as far away as he can from it all. He is going to take his son with him and if Phila is game after he confesses all to her then he will make her his wife and start afresh, just him, his son, Phila's son and Phila, at least his son will have a big brother and with these thoughts he went to see Phila hoping for a second chance and a fresh start to life...
...THE END...If you are not happy with the Topher's ending please make yours. Would love to read other people's ending. 20 Likes 2 Shares |

chibuzorAbia: Go and remove him na! Oya! Shebi na you put an there. The majority of us Nigeria put him there and we are very happy with what he is doing and his explanations. If you want to eat imported rice go to Ghana or Cotonou, nobody dey hold you and stop wasting your saliva here. Nonsense!!!!
As for me and my family we need and want to see more infrastructure. And our reserves is growing meaning financial security. Oga, no vex. It was just a simple question that was asked. Where is the rice that is being produced in Nigeria? Is it what you and your family are currently eating. If yes, please point me to the market where I can by the rice cos I've been looking for it since like forever. Don't try to divert the issue please, just tell us where to buy the rice. I really want to buy and I know most people here would want to buy as well. In that way we will be growing the naira in our own little way don't you think |

MariaLavina: Actually that point is for the men. Don't marry based on boobs and bum only, marry a woman with brain and heart. A woman should be prudent even when things are going well for her husband and when things go south, she should work with her partner to get the family out of the storm. If she's the one leading the charge she should also learn to be humble and respectful to her husband. It is not a function of boobs and bums; she may have them or not, boobs amd bums doesn't affect the brain and heart As for the man the lesson is to always respect, love and care for your wife and family especially when the going is good; make them your number one priority. Do away with pride and ego and listen to your wife especially when things are no longer looking good for you and she wants to take the reins. |

HeyCorleone: Even with the will, the fact that he is omniscient cancels that out. Do more study on the concept of "omniscience". It's infinite. No constraint.
Besides God is a loving father. Him being omniscient doesn't mean He interferes with our decisions. |

HeyCorleone: No. He provides very sound, and sane arguments.
The idea of God being omniscient already cancels the subject of heaven or hell.
If he knows your beginning and your end before you were born, certainly he knows your choices, and your final destination. Ain't it? There's something called will which He (God) gives to all men. You decide where you want to end up. |

hopefulLandlord: Hell always sounded like a cynical marketing ploy designed to make people afraid to leave or displease the particular sect. And it seemed to really kill empathy - 'god says they burn, they burn' doesn't make me think of someone being full of love and compassion and all that.
Eternal punishment for finite transgressions always seemed abusive to me. How can someone look at the idea of a being who would condemn people to that and call it love?
Even when I was a Christian Hell was just too weird for me to accept. Infinite punishment for finite offenses is an eye for an eye on steroids. Punishing people for disobeying nit-picky rules makes God an abusive parent. One reason often given for punishment is to teach the offender not to offend again, but if punishment is eternal then how can the offender benefit from this teaching? Jesus is supposed to be into forgiveness but forgiveness shouldn't involve eternal suffering. Hell isn’t redemptive, it isn’t leading to repentance, it’s simply pain for pain’s sake.
I love this quote: “Heaven and hell seem out of proportion to me: the actions of men do not deserve so much.”
and of course I get the rationalisation of hell by Christians saying its moral accountability and saying bad people go to hell; that's nonsense and they know it!!!
If Yahweh is real and omniscient, that means he already decided that we're going to hell before he even created us. But if this omniscient deity allows for deathbed conversions, then it doesn't matter what kind of life you lead. You could be a brutal dictator who massacred tens of millions of people, yet still get into heaven if you tell Jesus you're sorry. Your victims could all go to hell for eternity if they never repented. That's how bleeped up Christian morality is.
Maybe Christians can answer a few questions for me. The Bible says that there is ONLY ONE way to get into Heaven: by accepting salvation through Jesus.
So it follows that the Christians who ran the Nazi death camps can get into heaven. But their 6 million Jewish victims must burn for all eternity in the pits of Hell. I've talked to many Christians about this and they just pretty much accept it.
My questions are:
1. How f***ed up do you have to be to believe Nazis can go to Heaven but their 6 million Jewish victims must burn? That's just sick. But Christians believe it. What the f*** is wrong with you people?
2. Why would ANYONE willingly worship a god that would act like that? Is it just a fear thing (better known as cowardice)? And
3. Even if you get into Heaven what makes you think you'll be safe with a psycho god like that running the place? What's to stop your god getting a wild hair up his ass one day and sending Christians to a place so bad it makes Hell look like an ice cream parlor? He used to like the Jews too. Or so the story claims. What makes you think you're safe? Bros, the only thing I can tell you is go back to God, He will give you the answers you seek if you sincerely ask him. |

I would have loved to invest some money in the distribution angle for agruc produce
But just as I found out, like everything in Nigeria, that sector is highly "mafialized"

But then, so many factors will be against you
But if you overcome, the sky is your limit There are ways to boycott the mafias. It's just that we are not ready. |
