That's because the Northwest have the largest population of eligible voters in the country. Tinubu is president today largely because he won the Northwest in 2023. He was outrightly rejected in the South. Obi cleared the entire South but it wasn't enough to make him president. The poll is largely representative because voters have to select their states and polling units. The new poll will not get as much traction. Nigerians move on quickly.
