The problem is that we might not be fully abreast of the issues or events.

Some time in Nov/Dec 2025, the issue of CGT caused share prices to drop, until when the former Finance Minster re-assured stakeholders.

Most times, we know what makes prices to rise, but not what makes them to fall, except in exceptional cases e.g. Covid, global financial crises etc.

Additionally, with NGX’s new trading rules now suspended, it may also become a net contributor—similar to the T1 situation. I’m not sure why they can’t implement a separate testing environment to validate these updates before deploying them.

The money from the removal of subsidies which is an informal tax should be spent on upgrading and interventions in the hardware and software of the educational system, healthcare system, housing and shelter system as well as the transportation system.

Once some level of stability has been created for these systems, people can gradually being to experience a sign of relief and thw multiplier effects will be enormous.

Regarding education, the focus should be on optimising the nursery, primary, secondary, adult and vocational (technical) educational systems especiallyin rural areas.

The tertiary part can be run through their NELFund program for those who can not afford it because that technical or vocational education should be a foreground before any tertiary education.

The premise of the person you quoted is wrong—education at the tertiary level is largely subsidised. The increase in school fees is a reflection of exchange rates and inflation. The core expenses of those ivory towers are largely being catered for by the FG. If I had my way, the FG would divest, and those ivory towers would be privatised so they could become solution centres for society.

You need to understand how the numbers work: numbers don't care about your preferences or emotions. Go back to the 2023 election results. In every state where PBAT did not win, he finished second. When you look at that pattern across all 37 states, it becomes much clearer why he won the election.
