3). In the old testament, no one could come boldly to the presence of God because of sin. Only the high priest could approach the Ark of Covenant (God's presence), and he couldn't just go as he liked, he could only go once in a year with blood of animals for the forgiveness of sins (the book of Leviticus). But now, in the new covenant, Jesus took all our infirmities, sins, sicknesses, weaknesses, anxieties etc when He was on the cross and gave us His righteousness as a gift (Romans 4:13, Romans 9:30, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 10:4, Jeremiah 23:6, Romans 5:17-19, Romans 4:5). Indeed, there was a divine exchange on the cross. So now, we can believe that only through Jesus can we approach the presence of God/the Throne of Grace with all boldness and speak with our Heavenly Abba Father and be confident that He's not counting our sins and He Himself said that our sins and lawless deeds He'll remember no more! (Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:17, Jeremiah 31:33-34). This is also what we need to believe as a Christian!

4). I can't begin to write all that Jesus did on the cross for us because I'm still learning each day. It's not enough to believe He died for us (although it's a start). Where Christ said that He's come to give us life and life more abundantly, many people will argue and say that the life is only the life in Heaven, and that on earth we are to struggle and earn God's love, peace, favor, mercy and grace. Because of what Jesus did for us, God sees us through the lens of Jesus (as one of my favorite Pastors would say). And just as the Bible says "As Jesus is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4:17). As Jesus is without lack, so are u in this world. As Jesus is healthy, so are u in this world. As Jesus is so are you! Begin to declare this to yourself and see yourself gradually becoming Christ-like!

Please do not take in word for word, hook line and sinker, study the verses and chapters in the Bible and ask God for knowledge because you can't know all. Open your hearts to the Holy Spirit and ask Him to enlighten you on the truth. Not what your pastor is saying or what you think is right. Humans fail, God hasn't/won't fail.

Religion / The Deeper Meaning To John 3:16 by LisaAnneMia: 8:30am On Nov 08, 2020
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".

As this verse explained, the only way we can have everlasting life is by believing in Jesus.

Now let's go deeper. What does it mean to believe? To my understanding, it means to hold on to what you have heard/seen/read without an iota of doubt no matter what the physical/fact shows.

Now, we're to believe everything about Jesus to have everlasting life. What are the things or some of the things Jesus did for us to believe?
1). In the old testament, the blood of bulls and other animals were shed by the high priest and sprinkled by him on the Ark of Covenant (Mercy Seat) for the forgiveness of sins for the Israelites. Only blood (pure and clean) must be shed for sins to be forgiven. But the high priest had to do this once a year and this sacrifice cannot completely wash away all sins including future sins. And so, a provision was made for a new covenant where our perfect High Priest, Jesus, came once and for all to wipe away ALL our sins - past, present and future. We need to believe that all our sins have been forgiven. You think this will make u wanna sin more? Meditate on Romans Chapter 6.

2). In the old covenant, when the Israelites sinned or did not fear the Lord their God, instead of the blessings they were meant to receive in Deuteronomy 28, they received the curses in that same chapter, until they cried to God and begged for forgiveness. In the new covenant, it is written in Galatians 3:13 that Christ already redeemed us from the curse of the law. Every curses in the old testament, Christ Jesus already became those curses for us so that ONLY through Him we can be curse-free. We're to believe that Jesus already took every curses in the Bible and through Him, we have the blessings in the Bible, not because of what we've done or who we were or are, but because of His grace and love for us.
