Congrats dear God favor and grace was yours, honestly I think male VO’s are just the best honestly they are so so patient. Am due early next year, I wish I have faith like you to keep trying but I have been heart broken about this issue and I just want to heal.

Please where did your mum have that interview, Abuja or Lagos ?

My Advice:
Stay away from cheap hospitals, HNWMC has a red flag with US VO, the miracle moment package given to self pay patients has something to do with insurance, read in between the lines on the document usually sent. They have a list of hospitals with red flag.

Make sure you have your Nigeria address on your child/Children’s birth certificates.

If you did not get your visa for birthing, send your letter of intent quietly, carry your self go US go born your pikin. Am reading about one sister trying to apply for her sister Biko sister hold on. Ladies once you have your visa, I beg manage your husband will be fine, go born come home, don’t complicate issues cos theses people are making things difficult for Nigerians these days. I forgot to mention that in September they passed a document that will make it difficult for Nigerian to get US visa, wish I can screenshot and post here so please let’s be careful.

After your birthing experience, before another missionary journey try travel elsewhere so you have good travel history.

Never stop saying the truth, Prepare well and Pray very well before your interview, so your village people go miss road, dey no go find you reach US embassy gate grin

Ehen ooo those going to have baby or those who are planning to come back and can help a sister with about 3-5kg of some very important items please indicate or PM me God go bless you for me grin

Sorry for the long post so you see that if I have to type the whole transcript part 1 and 2 some people will beat me here smiley
Did this happen in Lagos or Abuja?

Hello All,
I feel a lot better now to talk about it so others can learn. My Visa was REVOKED recently on the day of my mums interview. If you recall my previous post, my mom was to have her interview although I wanted to change her interview date until am gone but there were no dates available before my delivery and I will be having a CS, so we prayed and trusted God that all will be fine with her interview, I even asked if ones visa could be revoked, Little did I know it would happen to me and things will turn out this way. I really can’t type the whole transcript of what happened, I might take almost 4 Pages here if I do that besides am saving my energy for child birth. grin

I tried to reapply after the VO revoked my visa cos her last words were Madam you can reapply, go and reapply, I have written it here that you can reapply, but to my greatest surprise I found myself In front of the same VO who revoked my visa on the day of my interview (Yes oo same VO) and her problem was how did I get an interview date, (note this was about a month difference in date from my moms interview) she said they are fully booked and waiting period is 4 months so how did I get date, una see me see Wahala ba smiley infact if you know how that day also went you will cry for me and this baby, the things our eyes have seen and ears heard. But in all am thankful to God and I find Peace staying back to have my baby here, as I don’t know God’s will and plans for me and this baby but to wait on his will. In God’s hands lies our destiny no one can change that fact. Try do your best and leave the rest to God.

Please note, I have been to the US several times and I have never committed any crime Ooo I had also written to the embassy of my plans and got a reply from them (check my previous post) Before my mums interview.
I renewed my visa when I was not pregnant via interview cos my previous visa wasn’t issued in Nigeria so I didn’t qualify for drop box, My first baby was born in US, I paid all my bills and have all receipts , itemized bill and Zero balance letters, so I came clean in everything guys.
I had way above 20k dols for the trip in my statement.

I was invited in for questioning on the day of my mums interview after I dropped her off, she had already been given the white paper and asked to come and call me I don’t know who that VO went to consult that changed everything by the time I got in, while I was with her she kept going in an coming out, infact make I stop here, I don’t want to break down again, am putting the past behind me.

Wow! So sorry about this. I had my hospital correspondence and acceptance letter from Dr X and HNWMC waiting for interview date but you set me straight. I quickly resumed communication with expensive hospitals I was running from. I'm even afraid to use any Houston hospital especially those mentioned here because I feel they read this thread. If I get my visa I will definitely carry your 3.5 kg load, it's a promise. Please I sent a PM.

Thanks to everyone who has made valuable contributions here. I had my interview today and visa was approved. Interview was short but the VO took his time to go through my documents. I have never travelled before. Applied earlier with my family but was refused on the grounds of no strong ties to return back. I applied again but alone and visa was approved. God was truly involved cos it could only have been possible with him.

Congrats! Was it Lagos or Abuja? Please post transcript so we can learn.

Hello house,

I'm just wondering since my husband does not have a visa and can not take time off work to apply or travel, should I fill in my sister as travel companion? She has a valid visa and may show up shortly before I deliver. But now it's just about getting the B2 visa first.... is it advisable to put sister or just leave it blank. I read somewhere on this thread about a mama who was denied and asked why...the "VO said if there is an emergency who will help you?" Hope saying I will travel alone will not work against me. ‍♀️ Also will saying I will travel with my sister when I have a husband affect me negatively?

Any new transcripts of interviews recently? Lagos or Abuja? Positive or negative? Please let us know people.

Dear house
Pls which is a more 'relaxed' POE, Atlanta or EWR, Newjersey
Does anyone know?

I've flown in EWR once, that was on my first visit to US but on a visitors visa and as a student, it was easy peasy like 2 mins and next I heard was welcome to the US. Atlanta couple of times and very easy as well. Flew in with my sister and her toddler 2 years ago for her 2nd birthing journey, all the CBP asked was "Why are you here" and she answered "to give birth" he said "I see you declared money and food" we said yes. He asked her "Will 6 months be okay to have your baby and leave the US?" She said yes and he stamped us in for 6 months.

Secondary inspection was just gisting. He called us separately to ask about the money, maybe to see if our stories will check out then told us to be careful walking around with such cash. He didn't count the money, didn't even ask to see it just kept gisting with me about hover boards and why I'm not ready to have my own baby. At agric the old white guy said our royco chicken cubes and indomie where not really allowed because of the chicken (I've never heard that one before) but he would let us go in with them because he suspects my sister must be craving, we all laughed and that was it.

am just asking how possible it is for me to get visa since I don't want to do the suggery here in nigeria since it concerns their citizen. ..I plan to contact the hospital where he was born too

Whether it can be done here or not is irrelevant. If you can afford it have the surgery in the US... You owe it to your child to not compromise on quality, we all know how our hospitals in Nigeria are, even the so called big ones are no better.

Pls guys I have asked this question before but yet to get response. I have been trying to get a doctors letter from Houston since last month both all demanding for some payments before sending letter. Is this the same routine adopted by all? My wife is yet to go for interview, till Nov. pls anyone with an answer. If there's any other way. Thanks.

I wondered that too, was most uncomfortable with the fact that the money will be non refundable. But Dr X hasn't asked for any down payment from me so far.

Hello house,

Interesting read so far. Please I have a few questions
1, I read some people where denied visa because the medical bills where too low, how low is too ? I intend to deliver with Dr Xydas and at HNMC in Houston and total medical bill for my proposed CS delivery is roughly $7100 is that too low?

2, A friend suggested I get a letter from a more expensive hospital, secure the visa, then use my less expensive option... is that safe? I don't want anything that will jeopardize my chances of renewal in future, I try as much as possible not to lie on my US visa applications.

3, Does anyone have a sample of a detailed letter from the Nigerian doctor stating the fact that the "condition" cannot be treated in Nigeria? I've tried to explain to my antenatal doctor but he seems to think I'm speaking about "fitness to fly"

Thanks to everyone. Congrats to the mamas who have delivered and success to the ones going for interview and flying and waiting to deliver.

Please anyone with useful info please reply, my interview is in 2 weeks.

After reading through the thread, read over 60 pages tonight alone and my head is banging, I have my answers. I just pray I get the visa and deliver my baby safely so I can rest.

When the hospital gave me the verification of birth document, they wanted an address inside the city limit of houston, Harris county,Texas. They rejected my nigerian address,i don't know if it applies to other state

Imagine that! So the address is on the birth certificate? My niece was born in Ohio, no address on her birth certificate. Hmmmmn Texas I want to go to But is it that VOs don't know this? Because they really grilled my sister asking "Why should you put a US address when you are not a resident"

Good morning ma,I don't know if am doing this the right way but I have been trying to my question across for days, I joined this forum few weeks back and I have been reading, am grateful for all the useful information here, but still I am a newcomer and this is my first attempt. I am 8 weeks gone and want to start my process too,pls I need info on hospitals around atlanta or california...to begin with, also am planning to apply with my husband. I will be glad if I can I get recent information. Thanks

I'm ftm and going on my own missionary journey soon but let me advice small based on my sister's delivery experience 2 years ago because I went with her. Atlanta is relatively pricey, cost of living and all but if you have family around there I don't see why not. My sister used Emory, if you see surprise medical bills!!! She went into labor at home and we needed to call an ambulance, she paid over 20k in total medical bills for VD. But be warned there is a column for address on the birth certificate and my sister erroneously filled a US address, as simple as this sounds it made them deny her visa this year, not just her but same issue with 2 of her friends who delivered in Atlanta. Now they are paying to rectify it but the process is not making sense. I don't know if at the time of birth you can put in a Nigerian adresss or it only takes US addresses just to suffer someone later. Her other child that was born in another State does not have address on the birth certificate. I have never been to California nor researched anything about their hospitals because in my head a big place like that will be deathly expensive.

That you read it there doesn't mean you must now go and get a letter for something you are not being treated for. There is no need to mislead, just tell them you want to go give birth, which is the truth. Anything else you are trying to get here is purely an attempt to mislead/deceive.

That's my opinion though.

Nawa o, I asked for answers not the 3rd degree. I had previous fertility treatment in the US and many many issues... I'm not traveling just to give birth, I'm traveling because how this delivery is done may affect chances of conceiving in the future. It is actually a medical reason otherwise I would deliver here and health insurance will take care of all bills.

I am not a member of the missionaries, lol, but from what I read on the front page, you don't need to tell any lie. it's legal to give birth in the US. abeg what is the condition that's not treatable in Nigeria you are referring to cos you said you are going for birth cheesy cheesy cheesy

The mamas can help you with your worries sha.

I read on the US embassy website under documents required for a B2 visa that one should provide a letter from a Nigerian doctor stating the condition and treatment option and that such condition cannot be adequately treated in Nigeria.

Hello everyone. Good morning.

We’ve been awfully quiet here. Anyone trying to apply for visa to go and have tbeir baby in Canada? Anyone currently on their way? Anyone who just got there? Anyone battling doctors etc? Anyone who just had their baby?

Im just trying to follow up.

Ps: sent in my application this week (didn’t give a reason for choosing Canada as a birth place for my baby in my LOE) but I’m looking to God and hoping for the best. Whatever the outcome may be. Have a wonderful day.

Hello Everyone,

I'm due in October and I sent my visa application short while ago (hoping for the best) I stated visiting as my reason and made no mention of giving birth there, I intend to face that hurdle at POE. Someone suggested Kitchener Ottawa but I'm not sure. Looking to get the cheapest option because there is a 90% chance I may have to deliver via CS. Interesting thread, I just had to follow.

I just checked again, he said Kitchener Ontario not Ottawa.

Hello nairalanders.

Sometime last year I submitted my resume at the NCC HQ after word on street said they were accepting resumes there (can not recall if i also submitted other credentials along). I also submitted for some friends and colleagues. Fast forward to just a few hours back, I received a text from NCC- an invitation for a pre-employment test in Port Harcourt. My Colleague whom i submitted for also got a similar message but his centre is here in abuja (not until recen
tly, i have been using my port address in my resume). The text message reads thus:

You have been selected to sit for a pre-employment test by the Nigerian Comm. Commission at Ace International Training Center, (with address and date). please come along with your credentials and come 1hr earlier. signed: NCC.

please who else got the message? and feel free to share any NCC pre-employment test experience as well.

I got a call yesterday for an interview tomorrow Friday In Abuja, surprised they are already calling 2 weeks after we wrote the test. Did anyone else receive the call? Does anyone know what to expect? I'm just reading everything with no direction.
