I read the transcript and i couldn't point to anything except her occupation. First thing that came to my mind is banker. Then i read previous posts by you and saw that shes a supervisor at CBN.

Good morning house;
Experienced people and parents, kindly help out.
This is actually a post US childbirth question but please help if you can. A friend's US born baby needs urgent ENT medical attention in the US but his mother has been given February 18 2019 visa interview date in Lagos after dropbox application for visa renewal.

*Just like childbirth services, are there people/bodies who can assist the mother in getting a letter from a US ENT specialist/hospital (Dallas preferably) so that she can be given an earlier emergency appointment date for the visa interview?

*are there other options for fast track apart from getting a letter? pls, do not 'waka pass!' All input gratefully accepted!

Can this urgent ENT medical attention not be handled here that she has to fly thousands of miles abroad for?

Am not aware of any body or paper that can fast track someone's visa interview.

Pls guys I have asked this question before but yet to get response. I have been trying to get a doctors letter from Houston since last month both all demanding for some payments before sending letter. Is this the same routine adopted by all? My wife is yet to go for interview, till Nov. pls anyone with an answer. If there's any other way. Thanks.

I wondered that too, was most uncomfortable with the fact that the money will be non refundable. But Dr X hasn't asked for any down payment from me so far.

The VO sees your wife as a potential migrant already due to you having schooled there.
That is how I see it.

i am a silent reader on this forum. my wife applied for B1/B2 today but was denied. i did my masters in 2014 and i invited my wife for graduation but she didnt come because she was very sick. i came back to nigeria after my masters in 2015. graduation was june 2015 and i came back by september after i collected my certificate. in 2016 we decided to give birth because my wife has high risk pregnancy. i made a call to the embassy to notify and emailed them. my wife traveled on August 1. by that time my F1 visa has expired and i went for a fresh interview and i was granted based on the fact that i want to be with my wife during delivery. she declared at the POE that she wanna gave birth. they spent 2 months and i spent a month. we paid all fees in total of 15kplus because she was induced because of the high risk. i have been to the united states more than 3 times after that. DW didnt know dropbox is 12months before expiration. this june we had to book for appointment in abj. my visa also expired this august. the earliest appointment we could see is september 25 . and since i qualified for dropbox i did the dropbox september 3rd.and it has been on administrative processing since the 17th of september after case opened on the 4th. my wife got denied today based on the fact she has no strong ties. she work as a senior supervisor at cbn. the vo checked the receipts of the hospital and agreed we paid. the duration btw when she got the visa and birth is a year plus. the vo even saw in her system that i did my masters in the states.she even asked if she is willing to give more babies in the future and she said yes. because right now she is pregnant but we are not using the visa for childbirth now but for vacation. then on the next trip we can use it for child birth which her edd is next year march. she was just 2 weeks pregnant when we fill in ds 160. please am sorry for this long message as this is my first time.

thanks 4 responding; he has indeed been seeing doctors here but even they acknowledge that some delicate surgery in a child so young is best safely and successfully done overseas hence her readiness to travel the distance even with the attendant high cost for self pay treatment.

OmoBendel24. You wont believe my Dropbox status has been changed to issued. Case last updated was yesterday. What I am thinking now is for my wife to apply for B2. Since her edd is next year march. Her Medical history was high risk pregnancy even the one we gave birth to in the states last 2 years. But this time we wont be going with our son. So that it will be part of ties. Please what do you see to it. And we will be using the same hospital we used . All correspondence will be sent from doctor and hospital. Please advise

note that the vo checked all receipts, itemized bill, zero balance. and she was satisfy. the interview was in abj. should i now apply for B2 since we are using the same hospital. should i wait till my passport come out if they will call me for a follow up interview. have never misuse my visa, even the highest i do travel is 2weeks.

Get a letter from your referring Dr here and one from the receiving Dr in the USA with appointment date then go to your portal and request for expedited appointment while also uploading the said documents.

If you have been on AP since over a week now on a dropbox application, the likelihood of them calling you in for an interview is pretty high but not compulsory. Kindly put up a standard transcript of your wife's interview today, let different people with experience take a deep look.

I think too from your write-up that you also told them of your wife going to give birth during your last interview, which should have counted for something if you actually did. The only clear "offense" by your wife for now is that she didn't use the visa first for the purpose for which it was issued before going for the birthing. That of course is taking preeminence right now over all the ties one can ever see she has....

I'm also reading here on the thread where someone is asking for the address to send "change of intent letter" to, in this time and age with the US embassy in Nigeria (that acts like wounded lions oh! You may just be devoured sharply during renewal of visa ni oh)? Hopefully she has used her visa for what it was approved for sha.

Hi everyone, please I really need some advise. Girlfriend is pregnant (not a thing I'm proud of), and would like for her to have our baby in the US. I've been sore worried as not being married might pose some problems at interview. Please, any advise on ways to go about it? Thank you.

Hello House, i have just received the almighty 221G letter to schedule a follow up interview. Earliest date we have gotten is 3rd week in Jan 2019.
My husband and i declared our intention to birth our baby during our interview in 2016. We have paid all our bills(payment plan), and received zero balance from the hospital as well as the itemized bill.
We intend to go for holiday early next year, any tips on preparation before we proceed for our interview? I have read VO's might pick issues on low hospital bill and un-explainable discounts. ours was an all inclusive self pay-package of 10k USD(CS) to cover physician for both mother and child. But excludes prenatal and scan.

Congrats, well she should apply as a single lady. I got my first US visa 6 years before I got married though

My opinion is that bank jobs are among the least stable in Nigeria. Inspite of this a lot of Bankers got US Visa's because it is a respectable profession. Only for them to bring disrespect to themselves by abusing their Visa's.
With 5 months to the major elections, this type of government job may not also be seen as stable. Even foreign stock investors have pulled out their monies ahead of the 2019 elections.
You could try again if you like.

Your points are valid and quite understandable I must say. But I don't think ties was the real issue with her application, this is not somebody going to the US for the first time, this is someone that has gone there and came back, someone that got a US visa and didn't even rush to use it or so to say, that used their facility and services (note though, that if there was a deliberate shortchanging of the system that is not due her visa category, there will be consequences), paid for it and exited.

The issue here, I think, has more to do with the visa usage (gotten for a purpose different from the birthing purpose it was now finally FIRST USED for), previous interview notes taken and of course the VO in question too, that's if the transcript is correct. Even though the hubby informed them officially of the birthing plan (which should have helped and may/can still help her case) and obtained a visa on it, I doubt if these interview notes got a syncing, that's where the issue is most likely.

She's only getting punished for the way she used the visa and is likely planning to use this next visa again, other things seem to be checking right IMO sha....

CC: @Phakabir06

NB; I can even see that you guys plan more to use the visa applied for this time for birthing mostly, the VO too may have noticed this. That means you must first show a clear-cut and appealing remorse for the usage of the first visa, which in itself is difficult. Then you must come out plainly on your intentions to birth again in the US and go through the visa process (B2 proper) thereto, this too may be a hard nut to crack now depending on the disposition and discretion of the next VO because a noticeable "ojoro don dey dis una second waka process already so".

No biggie, let her just follow the same process married women follow too, the only difference in her case would be that she won't have a marriage certificate to present,(Dr & hospital correspondence, have enough money to cover the trip, get accommodation, get strong ties to home country, prepare budget sheet etc)

Thanks Chibertha. Getting correspondence from a receiving ENT doctor is her main problem. The contacted one that's used to international patients is yet to reply. Would be grateful for any contact that will respond.
