You are the one living in denial, you speak as if Yoruba's from other states get free lands in Lagos , all tribes in Nigeria combine make up the majority in Lagos, there is no tribe in Nigeria that can not be found in their thousands in Lagos
Wait till Saturday, we would tell who is the majority
Jollyjustcome: See my people, cry for this country. We as blacks, as Africans and especially as Nigerians, have a long way to go in human integrity development.
Can you believe that APC has drafted a list of mostly Yoruba SANs to go and defend the widescale rigging and unprecedented electoral heist of Nigerians' will. Can you believe it? That a learned lawyer, whose own vote was probably also stolen, would go to Defend daylight robbery and try to validate the theft of his electoral will, the peoples' electoral will.
Imagine. Just imagine learned lawyers. Who then would stand up for national and institutional moral principles? Who? Why are Nigerians so selfish and greedy. How could anyone with a modicum of integrity accept a case that seeks to validate the subversion of national will.
See, the black man is not worthy of respect. Dont blame the whites o; we are a stupid race. May God help us.
Yoruba SAN like seriously, this tribalism is stupid. Peter Obi lawyer is a igbo man yet no one said igbo SAN..
Yoruba's are not the majority in Lagos , none indigenes are the majority in Lagos , majority of those who voted obi are none indigenes from different tribes and states in Nigeria living in Lagos
I posted this on another thread where a particular guy was threatening everyone about the fact Lagos belongs to them.... Please read.
Lagos is a cosmopolitan city developed not by the Yorubas but by all and sundry like the Europeans, Asians, Africans, Nigerians and others. It's not Ibadan or Abeokuta that has 60 percent input of it's development made possible by the Yorubas. It's the arrogance of some of you Yorubas that gives rise to the no mans land connotation. Lagos is in the SW but was not built by the Yorubas. London also is a cosmopolitan City with many Yorubas living there. They have not been disenfranchised for once during elections, but the reverse is the case in Lagos where people who live there are not only disenfranchised through the use Political oafs, thugs urchins, but prevented from making input in the running of affairs that concerns them. The actions of some Yorubas like you breeds the response you get from not only the Igbos but from other ethnic nationality who reside there. Yorubas like you are not only timid, backward and anachronistic but unexposed. Many Yorubas I know are civilized and not clothed in the oversized tribal garment you want everyone to acknowledge. Most unsuccessful never do good persons like you, are the ones polluting the entire space chanting Tiwani As far as Nigeria remains one indivisible county, you will never have the Yorubanized Lagos of your dream where non natives are seen as goose that lays the eggs and the indigenous people the snakes that feed on them.
Wait till saturday, let's talk after the elections
Solocoin: The question is was only Igbo people voted on Lagos for LP, those it means Igbo have a population than Yoruba's in Lagos? Tinubu they say built Lagos so how were they able to stop Yoruba's from voting Tinubu their father? They shouldn't start what they won't be able to finish.
Pickmycall: Is it only Igbo that are in Lagos? Some igbos in Lagos who are members of apc voted for APC. However, all tribes in Nigeria are well represented in Lagos state.
It is Lekki toll gates, iyaoloja and mc oluomo that we don't want. If sanwo olu promises to disband this group of tinubu's revenue collectors,he has my vote.
magoo10: Apc knowing fully well that the people have rejected tinubu's proxy governor are now making the election look like it is a tribal one.
Any time you hear apc urchins mentioning igbo as the cause of their problem just know that they have been rejected by everyone.
That is what you get when a people starts saying another persons land is no man's land. The response to threat is always a posture of defense. Saturday would show...
Mediahq: As Nigerians brace up for the Governorship and State House of Assembly phase of the 2023 general elections due for Saturday March 11, Lagosians have another date to keep with history. People-driven history will be made, so they must beware of the symbolic Ides of March which is cloaked in the campaign of falsehood and divisive ethnic politicking by individuals whose fabled political structure was crushed in the last presidential election in Lagos.
The desperados are jittery about another defeat and whipping up primitive sentiments against Labour Party's Governorship Candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV), calling him names in order to turn indigenous people against him. In reality, what they are afraid of is the solid pedigree of this original Lagosian, his ability to deliver and vintage ethnic hybrid position to play the politics of inclusiveness that accommodate everyone, no matter ethnic, religious or economic status.
Who is this Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and why are they so keen to disparage him with unfounded fallacies? Gbadebo (‘The one who brings the crown’) is a Lagos original with true blood flowing in his veins. He is a proud descendant of the prestigious Rhodes-Vivour family, whose pedigree as foremost legal luminaries and judges, with distinguished contributions to the state's development, date back to the 1800s - about 400 years in history.
Indeed, Gbadebo is the great grandson of eminent Justice Steven Bankole Rhodes, a founding father of the executive and judiciary, who served on the Executive Council with eminent Nigerians like Adeyemo Alakija. They and similarly minded nationalists built Lagos, a credit some people have been trying to steal. Also, Gbadebo's uncle is the Supreme Court Judge, Justice Bode Rhodes Vivour.
In terms of direct parentage, GRV’s own father is Barrister Olawale Rhodes-Vivour, a distinguished lawyer and detribalized son, who embodies the Lagos spirit of accommodation by marrying a wonderful Igbo woman, Nkechi, who is Gbadebo’s mother today. Interestingly, GRV’s diverse names as Gbadebo (‘The one who brings the crown’), Chinedu (‘God is leading’) and Patrick (‘of noble origin’) all point to a man destined for greatness and leadership.
So, with such a rich and highly accommodating pedigree, politicians are afraid that GRV's candidacy makes it easy for both members of the Igbo and Yoruba tribes to support, trust and see him as one of their own. Before and after the last presidential election, Gbadebo’s rising profile as an authentic unifying face of Lagos made powers that be to descend to sponsoring social media influencers to promote a fake campaign of an Igbo takeover agenda. They even lied about GRV saying Lagos is no man’s land.
The truth is that the opponents do not want a true and accommodating indigene to be governor. Greed for power and resources makes the enemies of Lagos go any length to retain power. However, a GRV, aside from a rich pedigree, will bring a breath of fresh air and restore the original glory of the state with inclusive and progressive development policies.
He has pledged to use 10% of Lagos IGR to empower 1 million poor Lagosians with interest-free loans. GRV has plans to rehabilitate the ‘Agberos’, area boys and thugs, and reintegrate them back into society as responsible citizens. He will fix the bad roads in all parts: from Ikotun, Ijegun, Satellite town, Lagos-Badagry Expressway and Ikorodu to Sagamu Expressway, irrespective of the predominant tribe living there in order to boost international trade.
GRV will provide affordable housing and stop the racket that goes on with government built homes. A LP government will make life better for the civil servants, the middle class, will improve wages and salaries for government workers, as well as fight for the poor and the economically disadvantaged. Today, Lagos has over 1 trillion naira debt portfolio and contractual obligations of over 500 billion naira.
GRV’s plan is built around quality and affordable education in public schools, quality and very affordable health services. He will also ensure provision of drinkable water to as many homes as possible and will fight for the poor and underprivileged by introducing transparency into procurement and contracting process and a level playing field to enable the participation of all qualified persons.
GRV supported and coordinated the campaign of Peter Obi as the most competent presidential candidate. With incontrovertible evidence, GRV supports Mr. Obi’s legal bid to contest the presidential election results in Lagos because Obi won the state overwhelmingly. Opponents actually see GRV, a true Lagosian, as their biggest threat to that selfish anti-secession plan.
GRV resolutely refused to sell out and step down from the governorship race in spite of the enticements wrapped as so-called mouth-watering pecuniary offers. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour stands on principles of fairness, integrity, equity, justice and inclusiveness to enthrone a new government that will benefit everyone in Lagos, no matter where they come from.

I am not voting GRV, a man whose wife tweets in favour of LGBTQ is a danger to our core value as a people and i would not be a sentimental obidient and vote a man because he is a Rhode Vivour, a Chinedu or a Gbadebo. If GRV is your choice i respect your decision but he is not mine.
Obidient doesn't mean i should be stupid
Instead of asking concrete question like what would he do differently, what are his antecedence in managing business or responsibility we are descending so low to choosing because he is a Rhode or because he is Chinedu or Gbadebo.
I am voting either doroethy, Sanwo olu or Jandor pls
Fut9ure: Please why are yorubas telling the igbos to leave lagos
The so called lagos is owned by the Binis
The Binis were the people who named it eko
Please before you quote and insult me
Ask elderly ones in your family probably your grandparents
Or rather take a walk to any of your monarchs and ask them they will tell you the history
Nobody is asking anybody to leave anywhere, lagos is yoruba land just as Enugu is ibo land all this history is unneccesary. Anybody that goes to any of this place and starts claiming nonsense is just setting himself up for conflict. Accomodating a yoruba man for a long time in Kaduna doesn't make it no man's land. Lagos is yoruba land.
Ife is not bini land because oranmiyan is originally from bini, it is yoruba land because the original occupant of the land identify as that.
Victorclean1: Zero tolerance to embezzlers in SE. He would have been a king if he ruled one state in Oduduwpigs nation. Am still shocked at the brain dead of majority. Few of them are also good.
Mynd44: Former Central Bank Of Nigeria and Present Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo in an article titled "History beckons and I will not be silent " wrote about the poverty level of Anambra state from 2006 to 2010 while the present Presidential Candidate of the Labor Party, Peter Obi was in his first term as governor of Anambra state.
In an article which many described as either very needless as they claimed Charles Soludo is merely bitter and angry, others praised it as they said it brought into public light numerous false misconceptions by Peter Obi's supporters.
Either way, his comment on the statistics of the poverty level in Anambra, got tongues wagging and fingers typing (mine included) and a lot of people have said the former CBN governor simply lied (but did he?)
Claim: Charles Soludo wrote that "…poverty in Anambra actually grew (from less than 25% in 2005) to about 53% under Peter Obi in 2010/2011 but fell under Willie Obiano to 14.78% in 2020. Yes, poverty more than doubled under Peter Obi and more than 50% of Ndi Anambra were in poverty under him. Go and verify"
This isn't all as he had wrote something similar in 2015 in an article titled "Buhari vs Jonathan: Beyond the Election" where he wrote that "According to the National Bureau of Statistics, poverty rose under his watch in Anambra from 20% in 2004 (lowest in Nigeria then) to 68% in 2010 (a 238% deterioration!)."
These two quotes seem similar but can also be be different as the numbers dont match but if we look closely, in the 2022 letter, he mentioned 2010/2011 which was mostly measured in 2011 and in the 2015 letter, he was specific about the year 2010.
Verification: According to a press briefing By then Statistician General of the federation and lead of the National Bureau of Statistics, Yemi Kale in a press briefing titled "Press Briefing By The Statistician-General Of The Federation/Chief Executive Officer, National Bureau Of Statictics Dr. Yemi Kale" delivered in February 2012.
Now since the NBS does not release poverty levels per years, we can only judge with the 2010 report
It is seen that the poverty level of Anambra state as at 2010 was at 68% (see image below) which matches the value quoted by Professor Charles Soludo in his 2015 article.
Verdict: The statement by the Anambra state governor, Professor Soludo claiming that the poverty level in Anambra while Peter Obi was governor rose to 68% in 2010 and 53% in 2010/2011 can be said to be true and not an exaggeration.
Also notable is that when Peter Obi responded to Professor Soludo in 2015, he did not refute the poverty percentage.
If this report proves anything, it shows soludo is not as wise as everyone paints him to be... The 2006-2010 tenure of governor peter obi was tainted with impeachment, court injunctions, insecurity etc... As a result there was no consistency in economic policies and stability was impossible..It is only reasonable that this happens.
However it takes a genius to crash poverty rate that fast in next ten years and making it lower than it was in 2005... That genius is Gov peter obi, how do I know?? by achieving the MDG goals, creating an investable environment and also frugal management of government resources he brought a positive outlook to the anambra state government economic figures and as we know when the economy outlook improves, poverty reduces.
Trinitycian: "We Inherited Speaking In Tongues from the Bible" has 2 interpretations and both are blasphemous.
INTERPRETATION ONE... (Acts 2)
Using this interpretation, Tinubu is saying we "Inherited" God's gift from the Bible. Speaking in Tongues is a gift, not an inheritance. It's a gift granted by the HOLY SPIRIT to speak languages the speaker DID NOT PREVIOUSLY KNOW. It's not Inherited, but gifted by the Holy Spirit.
This interpretation is even more blasphemous. Tower of Babel is a symbol of disunity. The confusion and disunity God afflicted them was punishment for their act of rebellion and arrogance. In other words, the story of Babel explains how /why we had different languages leading to confusion and tribalism and eventually disunity. So saying we inherited it from the Bible would mean we inherited our current disunity from the Bible.
So those linking what Tinubu said to the Tower of Babel should have a rethink.
WHY INTERPRETATION TWO IS WRONG...
Speaking In Tongues means "Gift of Tongues". In English, there's a term called 'collocation'. Collocation, according to Wikipedia "refers to a natural (predictable) combination of words that are closely affiliated with each other." Speaking in Tongues has no affiliation with the Tower of Babel disunity. This is why if you trace the origin of 'speaking in Tongues', you won't see the story of Babel.
So my advice is that Tinubu should learn how to speak coherently before he inadvertently blaspheme against Islam. We know what would happen next.
NOTE: "Speaking in Tongues here is used within the context of the Bible.
Oga calm down now.... There is nothing wrong with what he said.. let's stop giving Asiwaju free publicity..
That speech was carefully written by professionals and with the way it was delivered, it was obviously crammed.
fx45: Tinumbu is just a placeholder for Kassim Shettima
It is how Tinubu can attend all the political meetings in the nation, broker visits with supposed power brokers in the north and even boast of his healthiness on the bases of holding political meetings till Four Am but he can't attend even a single people based event. If it was campaign now, baba would show.
Voting a elitecentric president is the greatest harm any one would do for himself because I am sure 90% of us here either you were paid to campaign for anyone or not are ordinary people
Okay. I can understand that the metaphor is beyond your knowledge.
Maybe....lol,
I don't need metaphor to be understood.. But I think you need to read what you typed alongside an English textbook so that you can use the right metaphors next time
A man who simply identified himself as Chima, who claimed to be a member of Obidient movement, has alleged that the organisers of the March, imported people from other states, like ANAMBRA, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, for the Peter Obi 1 million man march. He questions if there are no 1 million Imolites to march for Obi.
This is like the funniest thing I have watched today.lol... you quit from an organization because they brought people to support the organization your supposedly founded lolll... You guys can do better than paying a presumably drunk to act drama, at times it take more than a white shirt to decieve people..
Okealaaye: A CATHOLIC doing this in a Pentecostal Church because of votes, because of Expediency! Bishop Hassan Kukah, Cardinal Okogie, where are you? Obi needs Deliverance immediately. His Bingo is licking the urine of "Heretics", according to the Doctrine of the Universal Church. The next stop is Emirates Stadium to take photo with Saka, his Nephew from the distaff side. Seen a politician who desires VOTES desperately, he will misuse Power doubtless!
You are more desperate to prove an unnecessary point honestly.... When did attending a christian meeting and worshipping make him desperate?? The average christian attend other denomination meetings probably you (if you are a christian) so I don't know the problem...
If this proves any thing it show Peter obi is very flexible and not a denomination fanatic... He can run a inclusive government with this characteristics
For a fact that OBJ explained what he meant show your are pathetic
Only Asiwaju fans that don't have data would be excited about the nonsense you just posted. The way the Asiwaju fans are rejoicing over nothing is irritating.. The same OBJ that refused to acknowledge his supposed endorsement you were crying about a few days ago...
The day you know OBJ is not a grassroot politician that you just meet and gain his endorsement the better for you
Don't blame the devil when you are simply refusing to see the obvious.
Throwback: The hypocrite Peter Obi turned it into a tribal matter when Fashola did same that even affected some Yoruba states and some Northern states.
But Obi made it look like it wasn't something his own state Government had also done earlier, and used it to campaign against Ngige of the APC to favour Obiano who was his own chosen successor from APGA.
Seeing a problem with returning street beggars to their states is the reason Nigeria is where it is.... If this does action show anything, it show Peter obi capacity to take hard but necessary decisions unlike some of the other candidates
Lol there is nothing meaningful in what you wrote up there... It's more like a write up of a brainwashed teenager that lack basic political awareness in a multi ethnic society like Nigeria.
You are still a disgrace.
Ooopsss... I forgot.. so sorry it is long. You don't read.
Brain washed Nah
I presented logic, you present nothing but ethnicity and insult. It is a shame, elder.
