If you can be so confident telling us how much he met it, you should also do same for how much he left it whether better, same or worse.

Let the Abia NLC face their governor

When it comes to petrol and exchange rate, state governors don't have a say

You get it?

Floating of naira and increment in pump price knocked down the economy

Mention just one state governor who float the naira or increase the fuel pump price
Is it the FG that has advised govs not to do any development in their states....what stops abia from being the industrial hub of the SE.

What stops Enugu from having the best medical facilities in the SE and Ebonyi being the agric hub which would generate billions for that region ....but you need food, education for your children and health care and your gov points to Abuja and you sheepishly follow his deceit despite all the allocations he is getting and IGR.

It's not the state government that float the naira and increased pump price putting the Nigeria economy into shambles

Let the federal government increase minimum wage to 200k and the state shall follows

Seyi Makinde is the governor of my state maybe I give you his number to ask him
The way you people argue shows how crassly unintelligent Nigerians are and the sad thing is how they showcase their ignorance with so much confidence and sadly your ilk are in the majority.

Hasn't the allocation your state gov receives from faac also increased, what is your gov doing with several intervention and bail out funds from the FG ....what is the critical economic development and sustainability project your gov is doing whether in agric, industrialisation,MSME, education or health?

Someone has taken minimum wage up by almost 150% and you still see nothing good in that.

Minimum wage supposed to be over 200k based on current inflation

Under GEJ, minimum wage is 18k but it will buy 2 bags of rice at 7k - 7,500 that you will still have some balance left

Today, a bag of rice goes for 100k which means minimum wage cannot even buy 1 bag of rice

18k naira in 2015 = $83 (blackmarket)

80k naira today = $47

The real value of money is the purchasing power of money
How much did your Jonathan leave the same bag of rice when he was leaving in 2015?

Politics › Re: 24/7 Electricity Availability (MW): What We Have Vs What We Need by Lithiumite: 2:03pm On Oct 16, 2024
Dogalmighty17:
To generate 1mw of electricity, you need something north of 1 million USD. Understandably, power generation and transmission is very expensive but the only reason why Nigeria has never managed to generate above 7000mw is because of the blind and mindless looting of useless political class in Nigeria.

Egypt had the same issue of blackouts Nigeria has but it got Samsung onboard and in less than 6 years, samsung solved that issue. Egypt now comfortably generates over 60,000mw.

Samsung was actually invited into Nigeria to proffer solutions to our power problem by the late Kyari during Buhari's time but since the man died none of the bastards in the ministry of power have pursued that deal with Samsung.
It was Siemens not Samsung.

Keep consoling yourself because Obi's supporters are diminishing by the day, supporters!! We mean those with social weight, influential and credible .

Reno never supported Buhari even when it was expedient to do so to earn his pot of porridge,he didn't....so why are you then accusing the man of ass licking.....he has a right to support whoever he pleases.....tinubu's supporters have no problems with Kenneth okonkwo or Aisha or that farotimi guy but obidients will kill anyone who is wise enough and doesn't buy their snake oil man's facade.

Kukutenla:
A lot of neophytes do not understand what is going on in PDP
I see them claiming that Wike has won again
Let me just explain it lightly. There are divergent interests colliding with one another.
Atiku on one hand is waiting for 2027 to clinch the party ticket again. He believes and knows that he doesn't need the NWC to do that.
Wike and co already know that with Atiku in the party, they can't get 2027 ticket so they prefer to stay and keep overturning the apple cart if Atiku wins the ticket again
Then there's folks like Bala Muhammad who also has interest for 2027. He also sees Atiku as a stumbling block to clinching the ticket, but also sees Wike as a problem if he wins the ticket
There's also Damagun and his NWC who are smartly playing all sides in the game with the hope of maximising benefits before he hands over power
The likes of Wike believe time is still on their side. Atiku is old and at least by 2031 he can't think of running again. So they prefer to wait out the game till then. Bala Muhammad and Co know that PDP will be weakened if they decide to play the same waiting game like Wike.
It is this conflicting interests that's keeping PDP in abeyance.
I beg to differ slightly to your however cogent posit.......atiku is a spent force and really won't be able to go head on against the hot bloods like Wike,Bala Mohammed, makinde and fintiri.....many of the govs in the party would rather leave atiku to is ambition alone since they have their own 2nd terms to battle for and would rather align with an Abuja which still looks large.

Wike on the other hand is doing a yeomans job by keeping his legs in both parties albeit for his own selfish interest but he is doing quite well at it and it's a pity fubara would be the sacrificial lamb to appease monster Wike to at least let PDP breath.

Bala Mohammed and fintiri sees themselves as defacto leaders of the party from the north once they can get atiku out of the way and force him into retirement.

That crisis if not properly managed would have been the end of PDP.....now they can all go back to the drawing board and seek a concensus candidate that will take over from damagum.

So I overheard someone saying a couple of days ago that "na ritualists dey eat apples now"

I just SMH.

Apples that one use to buy like 10 at a go...

A sizable apple here in warri costs 600.

Small one, 300 - 400.
Do you grow apples in your country? If they like let them sell for 1k,I am less bothered....since when did apple become our staple?

If you want things cheap,go on and produce to add value to the economy.... enough of our rent seeking, entitlement mentality.

Irresponsible governance at its peak.

The government is suppose to tell the end users this is what the pump price will be.

Not stylishly absolve themselves of blame by telling us "oh we sold it to IPMAN @ 995naira"

They are indirectly telling Nigerians, we are not responsible if the prices are higher, its out of our control.

The government cannot decisively mandate a pump price.

DON'T FORGET, THE CRUDE OIL IS NOW FROM NIGERIA, THE REFINERY IS IN NIGERIA, THE PETROL IS MADE IN NIGERIA, THE DELIVERY TRUCKS TO FILLING STATIONS ARE OWNED BY NIGERIANS.

DOWNSTREAM,MIDSTREAM AND UPSTREAM IS NOW 100% NIGERIAN.

THE SUPPLY CHAIN IS 100% NIGERIAN.
Subsidy is gone, live with it.... diesel has been unsubsidised longer than I can remember and heavens didn't fall...diesel buyers have long moved on why should that of PMS be any different....if petrol is too expensive go for CNG.
