Amaechi is widely accepted in the North. The North prefer an Atiku/Amaechi ticket to Atiku/Obi ticket. The game plan is simple, allow Tinubu and Obi fight for the bloc southern votes while locking Atiku lock the northern votes, mostly NE & NW might be 85% for Atiku.80% of Tinubu 5.3 M votes from the North has gone to Atiku while Atiku might also lose a large chunk of his Southern votes to Tinubu. Except the governors that helped him in 2023 that are now in APC might secretly work for him

You people's gross inadequacy in understanding the dynamics of nigerian politics is a joke always taken too far.....the north isn't one single voting bloc like SE,he cant win any state in the south and he still needs 25% across at least 5 southern states even if he wins the entire North which isnt even possible.

The majority elite concensus in the north doesn't support a break from the power rotation norm we have always had in the country.....there are also younger power blocs especially the govs who are already angling for 31 which atiku will inhibit if he were to emerge,kwakwanso is no fool to decide to wait till 31.

Sunday Igboho did same but Tinubu has granted him pardon while he's now a member of the APC campaigning for Tinubu's re-election. Isn't that favoritism and tribalism in display? Even Waziri Atiku Abubakar will free Nnamdi Kanu on his first day in office because we can't have different punishments for the same offences.

Show us one just one single statement where igboho called for the dismemberment of the country or where a cursed and abused other tribes or where he called for secession by force.....just one!

Imagine people who have no basic understanding of how governance works and how systems run want us to trust their political judgement to vote obi who has even confessed himself he needs to get into govt first before knowing what the problems are......how can you claim you can fix what you don't even understand.....noh be 419 be dat.

He is saying the bitter truth. The Southeast had the opportunity to get a foot in the door and launch into national prominence in 2027 by aligning with a huge section of the North in a coalition just like Tinubu did in 2015, but Obi choose to prioritise self-interest. In 2027, the region will go solo again and vote in isolation and then console themselves when they lose by saying they are the richest region, or that they are the only ones with the gift of identifying good leaders or another ridiculous self-consolation rhethoric. If the Southeast would not vote Atiku in 2027, they are better off voting Tinubu instead of voting in isolation. Another approach will be to spread their votes across different parties so they can have a stake in the eventual winner instead of backing the wrong horse in a one-way traffic.

Even pairing with atiku wouldn't have won them the presidency because obi doesn't have that influence to tell even his obidients to vote anybody but himself,his obidient movement should have long looked beyond obi going into 27 and should have strategically aligned with the SW knowing fully well tinubu would need his second term and obi stood no chance.....they should have instead pushed for policy advocacy such as restructuring, state police,fiscal federalism,tougher laws against corruption etc.

When the presidency rotates back south by 39,the igbos would then be in poll position to get the presidency even ahead of the SS but as it is now the SS has proven to be far more politically sophisticated than tbey are.
