Pdp was basically crowding out the real sector from funding by diverting domestic capital to govt instruments while tinubu is doing the opposite.

OBJ blamed the military for his frequent travels saying years of military rule had made the country a "pariah" among the nations. That was the period that word was popularized in Nigerian lexicon. But economy-wise, he never blamed the military.

You also need to reduce your lies. It was foreign debt that was around $5bn not $3.6bn as at the time OBJ was leaving office. The domestic component of the debt was still there. The GEJ and Yaradua govt also followed OBJ's trajectory of increasing domestic debt and moderating external debt.

It was Pa Buhari and now Tinubu that ballooned our external debt profile which is usually where the trouble is because of the effect foreign exchange has on such debt. And they didn't spare the domestic debt either while crashing the GDP from a high of $500bn+

Think about thaat. I want you to forget about tinubu and atiku and company. Making stuff does not mean a nation automatically becomes prosperous.

Manufacturing in NIgeria was better in the 1980's than it is today, yet we were poor and broke back then. We had all sorts of textile factories and so on, yet we were broke...why was that?

You can have all the manufacturing in the world, but if what you make is not competitive on the global market, forget about it. You go save forex on import, but not earn more than we already have.

I am not totally against your analogy but its trite when opposition keeps undermining our manufacturing capacity with their verbose propaganda.....we are over $50b in capacity far more than annual budgets of many African countries.

I agree we aren't there yet with less than N3tr in exports.......but its not like we are doing badly either......whatever savings we are making on imports will still help hold the naira stable.

Nigeria is not a producing country, beyond the refinery, it's a country that relies on the income it gets from oil to have something of a economy...and when the oil price is high, things look good.

Tinubu supporters who are rejoicing over the IMF statistics, should go back in time to 2015, and listen to tinubu acolyte Osibanjo speaking about what APC would do, and should compare it with what is happening to day, and then ask themselves the honest question...has it been as was planned?

Nigeria's manufacturing growth for H1 26 alone is already doing over 3%,nigeria alone is the largest manufacturing market in africa,second only to Egypt.....there is no way you can see or benefit from that growth of you arent in that space.

Tinubu is sustaining the growth to get us to where we should be,despite our epileptic power supply we still manage to achieve this much,imagine what it would be if we can build our grid.
