So many commercial vehicles have benefitted from CNG interventions with most even free but there isn't any single one of them reducing fares to the masses......the capital for the CNG intervention gone,the hopes of the common man in alleviating cost of transportation all gone,now this.

What happens when prices go down to a thousand naira and you are telling NNPCL to charge 1,350 so as to under recover what ever cost on this misguided policy,who would buy.

The CNG initiative should have been made more effective, massive penetration drive across the entire country,their are even mobile units and cascades that can make dispensing from trucks directly to end users possible,if cng were to go round the country all the noise about high petrol cost would have been long gone.

Nigeria bureau of statistics have been providing a false narrative on the inflation trend in Nigeria. Their narrative may be due to ignorance or obvious mischief. I will use several real product situations to showcase their fallse narrative in this series. Today I will be looking at a pack of a popular brand of bubble gum that sold at about #800/pack before the subsidy gone misyearn. This pack of bubble gum rose up to #4,000/pack (about 400% increase) thereafter . At that point I stopped buying it. Months down the line, the price of this same bubble gum pack came down to about #2,880. This is the point at which NBS will record a downward slide in Inflation. However, let us look at what really happened. On purchase of this current pack, I discovered that the bubble gum itself was about half the size of the previous ones before the subsidy gone statement. In other words, if this half size gum was available before 'subsidy gone' it could have been sold for about #400/pack. This means that a #400 product pre subsidy gone is now #2,880. This indicates an actual inflation of about 620%. But if we go by NBS method which will obviously take the two products as same, inflation would have come down by 28%. This is how false narrative is provided on Nigeria's economy. I want people to digest this as we are set to delve into other products in the coming series. Thank you.

You don't use just a singular product to judge inflation indices......inflation truely grew to about 38% but has since slowed by half,which is something similar to your own very analogy.
