Thanks for the information,Just few days ago,my husband's WhatsApp was hacked,the person was sending messages to the various groups my hubby belonged.That was when friends started calling that hubby should check his WhatsApp but he couldn't access it.To cut the story short,200k was withdrawn from his account,he was left with just 2k.

Please hence forth tell him to use double verification on his WhatsApp to make the offline hacking (which is what they used) unsuccessful

@ 1:30pm yesterday I got a phone call from 08148292037 who claimed to be Mr Benjamin from FBN Abuja. He gave my full names, BVN number, Date of Birth, my Alert phone number, which he called, also the 5 digit number I used to create my FBN mobile bank app.
He said that one Mr Usman created a Union bank account, and is trying to move money from my FBN account to the Union bank. He claimed he stopped the transaction, & is trying to verify if I authorised such transaction, which is the reason I have not gotten any debit Alert.
I asked him to go ahead to block the transaction, for I didn't authorise any online transaction.
He then asked if I gave my ATM card to anyone or used my ATM recently, I said NO. He then asked if I have my ATM card with me, that I should read out the ATM digit numbers to enable him stop the transaction. I told him that he had already stopped the transaction, and have gotten a clarification from me, which is enough to enable him block whatever that needs blocking, if he is truly a first bank staff.
As I refused to call out the numbers, he then asked isn't the first number 5. He then asked what's the next number. I told him that I will never read out my number to who claimed to be FBN over the phone, that I will rather go to the First Bank office & complain. He asked me if he is a ghost or not a FBN staff to get all my details.
As I pissed him off by not budging in, he switched off the phone.
As I checked a message on that my Alert phone, there was already a message from Union Bank, showing Account opening Authentication numbers 872395, 973392.
I quickly rushed to FBN. The Customer care personnel asked me not to bother about anything, so long as I didn't read out those numbers to him nor gave my ATM pin.

NB Please be guided people, it is so real & convincing that I believe some Fraudulent bank staff connive with these HOOLIGANS to dupe innocent customers. Please share widely ASAP.

Something is very fishy with the staff of first bank (FIRST BANK OF NIGERIA). I had similar experience with first bank last year November that caused me to block my account with them. Someone called me with my details as you have just described. He told me that he noticed some errors in my details with them and wanted to confirm the details, and that I should not access my account, as my account will not be functional for some hours until they rectify it. He was reeling out my details until it got to the part where he wanted me to confirm my ATM pin. I intentionally called the wrong pin from the start up, he became frustrated and started shouting on the phone. Gbam, I booted off to the bank.

Customers details are with the banks, and one fraudulent staff can easily take advantage of these details to cause great havoc.

Banks should ensure a higher level of security for customers details.

My dear the rate at which these fraudsters are operating now , one has just got to be alert at all times

Excellent article. They're doing the same on LinkedIn too. They'll hack the accounts of top/mid-level management professionals (some in your network), send you an Inmail saying that they have a proposal for which they think you might be a good fit.

Then, they'll ask you to click the link to view the proposal (usually from a reputable cloud account like Onedrive -Microsoft's cloud service). In my case, it was one guy from Amazon (senior management), and another chick from Toyota (senior management too). Nearly clicked if it wasn't for a sense of unease about the mail. Something just didn't feel right, plus I hadn't sent them any proposals or communicated with them. And I don't click links from entities I don't know or have a personal connection with.

I ignored the mail, only to check again a couple of days later, and find that they'd both put up disclaimers stating their accounts were compromised. Boy, was I glad I didn't click those links. Those hackers would have owned my a**.

Most people fall for this because they assume the messages are coming from those guys/people they know, not knowing that their accounts have been compromised. If you receive any mails like that, just jump and pass.

Be safe out there people.

Not fair you are generalizing, some one close to me ended her marriage this Jan. She is the best woman any one can have, unfortunately she married a man that was raised wrongly.

Imagine her husband beating her because she came back, and, saw her husband's weed he poured inside their plate, and, she threw it away. This marriage already had 3kids, even if the man smokes, does he have to flaunt before and kids.

I encouraged her to arrest him after hitting her, she did, and the man was detained, he didn't show any remorse afterwards, rather, he was threatening her with divorce, I told her is time she move on, and she did.

That was how someone sent me a mail that he hacked my system and has got all my details, passwords, sites I visit and so many other things. He said he installed a program which he uses to record video of me and all I do on my system.
What made me laugh was when I got to where he said he was going to leak my Nude and video of me watching porn and masturbating if I don't send the amount of bitcoin he asked me to send.

He even went ahead teaching me how to create and fund my btc wallet and that my time started counting immediately I opened the mail.
I was tempted to ask him to release the video fast without wasting time but something warned me to delete and not reply the mail.

I believe he has a kinda rat in form of an android APK that's doing this, most apps that are meant for this you will install and notice there is a kind of invisible application icon on display screen so you won't notice the app, once give the permission it automatically sends any data requested by the hacker from your phone ranging from text messages and downloading other details from your phone.

Once your number is compromised just change your phone no Asap and inform your family and business partners, friends will get in touch with you via whatsapp cos you will be lucky if it is not in a general database all hackers have access to.

Some of us are way to careless and greedy and this is what leads you to unknowingly reveal your details or get compromised.
You use a single email to sign up for everything and anything you see online.This sis why your spam folder is swelling everyday. You put your main phone number everywhere. Your data is so compromised that it is on several database where hackers regular access. even your passwords are there. That is when you begin to receive such calls and such mails in the first instance.

So the calls will keep coming and the mails will keep coming until they compromise you.
Switch to exclusive privately line and keep an extremely private mail and you won't have to bother about all these.
