I am not a cultist but believe me, living on the streets can make me identify them very easily. What am I even saying, cultism is not secret anymore, the codes are all on youtube. From the internet, you can see everything. Members brandish their signs online. Even celebrity members showcase their belonging. See someone like scoobynero, he tattoos his cult proudly on his face for the world to see. So, I am sorry, all you are saying about putting NBM at risk holds no water, even girls for public school dey knack egede with play play. A cultist already knows alot about the identification of other cults, or dont they?
I actually followed this thread from the start in May and I have been following saynotocultism keenly. I have my reservations about him. But what I admire about him is his total stance against cultism. He did not support any cult group. And he strongly says "No cult is greater than the other".

This cultism thing is unnecessary gang violence. At least in USA, even with the spread of Bloods, Crips, MS13, you dont hear of them becoming governors or leaders. But here, there are states where 80% of the Lawmakers plus the governor himself are cult-affiliated. We need to do something against cultism. Lets support the movement in anyway we can. Threatening the OP with your connections is not going to stop the next gang killing in Ikorodu, Choba or Benin city.

I have no issue with exposing things like how they transport guns and ammunition and such criminal activities yes

But saying how speak and their codes etc is unnecessary

Now if you are in the know over 50 are dead in Edo state since two groups United and to wipe out the NBM in Edo state !! These cult groups have parks and routes covered now there are alot of young men trapped in Edo praying to remain anonymous

There is just too much information here to be used to identify certain young men

Imagine if some rival.cult groups use the idea he revealed here where by someone walks up to you to say about playing ball and playing 7 it will work in getting some killed.

Or someone goes into a hostel to scream.aye axemen and shoots and kills all of them

See my point is revealing some.details here is unnecessary and doesn't take into consideration the lives that will be lost

Yes it's easy to say let them die but remember these are young men who can be rehabilitated

Mind you alot of people attacking me are rival cult members happy to use this information to murder other young.men

Do you know why intentionally, the Nairaland mods have refused to close this thread. It is bloody saving lives. But here you come here criticizing the OP's approach. As in, someone sends you a PM to hack you and you dictate to the person how not to react? Everywhere, they say"shun cultism", but people still join. Believe me, if all present cult members were to read this expose, less than 40% will actually have joined.

No matter what you have done, your impact on fighting cultism is not anything close to what saynotocultism is doing. There is no week that goes by without a cult death in Nigeria. Because you are an ex and you chose to leave doesn't mean everyone can leave it the way you did. Some, it sinks into their blood and it ruins their lives.

I really dont want to insult anyone here but please, if you are not doing anything against cultism, Let the OP be. Or better still open your own thread to fight cultism like you say.

Where are your stats on how many people this thread is changing their lives ?

His life was indeed threatened and given his background he was able to maintain sanity on the thread which brought an end to distractive tendencies.

Saynotocultism, the purpose of any societal re-orientation programme should be to save lives. You've indeed saved a lot of lives. I have shared your experience with a lot of you youths and the feedback is encouraging.

Infact I was nearly killed by same NBM, once for supposed mutiny like.he recounted and secondly when I decided to walk away.. I wasn't attending meetings , J, nothing , but I was still coming to school ..I wanted a different life and I knew there was no going to my kpowai and saying I am done .

I knew it wasn't Hollywood.. I knew the path I chose led to my death, but I didn't care. Bro I was tired , I emotionally, psychologically exhausted

I was done .. I heard rumors I was to be Daxd blah blah blah I just didn't care .

But never once did I go anywhere and start speaking unnecessarily because I knew that would be selfish, that would endanger otthers lives

I knew everyone needed their own time to come around to change

Funny thing is several years later the butcher who was sent to find me once told me after he too had gotten tired grin

He said he didn't know I was the one all he has was my name we actually walked past each other as I left marierie hall grin

Life is funny

My point is we need to change these young men and not glorify or endanger their lives

Let me explain how dangerous what he did , back in Unilag when omotola jelili was the VC they instituted the anti cultism brigade which was the police, and school security this wasn't working then they called the military from DMI directorate for military Intelligence to lead arrests of cultists 1998.

Now this lead to a rubbish so called event organized with the SUG called renounciation week , it held in the sports center and they wanted cultists to walk on stage and renounce publicly in the sports center infront of all other confraternities

This was a disaster.. it led to alot of identification, settling of some scores it spread to bariga, folagoro, FCE, Yabatech it was a bloody hot 98

Now to further butress, he devulged too much info no enlightened one should.

Now there is a terrible.cult war in Benin , some rival groups have merged to wipe the NBM and he has given them a wealth of resources to use to identify and hunt down these young men, even locate their initiation grounds and even how to impersonate and infiltrate them .

We want these young men alive and reorientated not dead. What he has done is the same as posting all their names online with photos..

That's why even developed countries trying to stop gang violence don't do this .. you think the mayor of Chicago can't just sponsor blogger to post such about the crips and bloods? It will be a blood bath

This man has just fuelled an incoming blood bath in Edo state of all NBM members. He even went as far as posting allegations that NMB has been running rigging of elections in Edo state ?? Why? Why post that? Where is the proof? Even if you have it why didn't the Edo state governor even post this information? To avoid a massacre, but he just stamped and.signed it.

I want this menace of cultism to end more than any of you know, I have actively helped rehabilitate and change some young men's trajectory..

If I recount my losses that being an SM cost me here this kids story will read like child's play .. but it all.added to make me the man I am today.

In the states I volunteered with youth groups that encourage youths to avoid gangs , we spoke to kids in the greater BK axis where gang violence is high (the bloods)..NO ONE EXPOSES ALL THIS GANG LINGO ONLINE .. because mischievous people will use all.this info you have shared to hunt down NBM members are you aware ? How are you helping ?

Even in yankie zone where alot of good work is being done to discourage kids from gang affiliation no one does this.

You really ought to be concerned about saving kids lives and not endangering them.

Take this as a cue, helpers don't make noise.. learn to shut up.. don't threaten civilians ..saying you can shoot doesn't make you sound like you are done with cultism it makes you sound like a thug. Th DSS issues a license to kill but not to kill so sporadically
