Politics › Re: What Is An Igboid Language? Is Ikwerre The Same Language As Igbo? by LiveScience: 9:18am On May 04, 2020 |
gidgiddy: Lets just assume you are right. Lets assume that the Ikwerre people are Bini migrants who settled in present day Rivers many years ago. I have two questions.
1) why did the Ikwerre people drop their bini names and language and adopt Igbo language and name? Why would they do this? Its not like Bini is very very far away from Ikwerre land.
2)If Ikwerres are really Bini people, why do some of them claim to be a 'distinct ethnic group'? Why are Ikwerre people not Bini people? Or maybe Ikwere/Bini people? Why havent we seen one single Ikwerre person ever come out to say he is a proud Bini man? The Ikwerre, Anioma and others etc were Igbo people that were under Benin kingdom. Benin was a kingdom with many tribes including some parts of Igbo, parts of Yorubas and Ijaw. They were all ruled by Bini Oba. |

OkCornel: The Science of Intuition: How to Measure 'Hunches' and 'Gut Feelings'
Whether you call it a "gut feeling," an "inner voice" or a "sixth sense," intuition can play a real part in people's decision making, a new study suggests.
For the first time, researchers devised a technique to measure intuition. After using this method, they found evidence that people can use their intuition to make faster, more accurate and more confident decisions, according to the findings, published online in April in the journal Psychological Science.
