EducationRe: University Education In Nigeria NOW Is A Waste Of Time. My Opinion by livingseed: 3:21pm On Sep 20, 2017
Billyonaire:
Getting lost in the matrix is common, it is the most common level of human existence, but when you raise your understanding beyond the mental programming, then you will see such a wide array of humans who exist without knowing their purpose. Hence happiness is elusive.
My thoughts exactly. Actually, Purpose is a big part of what constitutes education and if it were possible for everyone to fully understand the value of purpose early in life then maybe fewer or more people would need a classroom education. So yes, Purpose will cause people get lost in the maze and purpose will lead people to happiness as you enunciated. Nothing in life is wasted, it's all experience.
EducationRe: University Education In Nigeria NOW Is A Waste Of Time. My Opinion by livingseed: 2:12pm On Sep 20, 2017
I'm not going to say that I agree with you, but I do feel that it's not for everybody. It depends what you want out of it. Life itself is a waste of time if you don't conform to its purpose. Whether Nigerian University education is a good choice for an individual in Nigeria presently is a complex choice. It could be meaningless for now but society dictates it and you cant change it.

You can fight the current your whole life and try to walk up stream facing constant resistance for no reason but your pride. Or you can play the game... lift up your feet and let the current carry you and stuff will be alot easier. More so, There are other ways to work towards having a good life.
Christianity EtcRe: A Heart-rending Narrative On How Religion Destroyed 'an Ideal Family' by livingseed: 2:39pm On Aug 30, 2017
Religion is not even the dispute here. I feel what ruined the marriage is just a case of dearth in true love and trust existing between the parents which was tested nicely possibly after they met with their different religious leaders.

Sigh... Stay strong narrator.

Will not forget this one Headmistress always sang in school during assembly many years ago.

Ah, Lord God! Thou hath made the heavens and the earth by thou great power... Ah, Lord God! Thou had made the heavens and the earth by thou outstretched arm. Oh Nothing! Nothing is too difficult for you... Jer 32:17

Christianity EtcRe: 10 Reasons Why GOD Allows Suffering On His People by livingseed: 7:58am On May 21, 2017
What we believe about God will affect our lives. It will determine how we deal with strangers, interact with fellow employees, raise our children and treat our spouse.

Op, Suffering is a destructive behaviour. Does God engage in destructive behaviour? No.

"You are what you eat." There is some truth to that since healthy eating leads to a healthy life and bad eating leads to a life full of health problems. However, equally important is a truth that you are what you worship.

BusinessRe: Things They Told Us That Is No Longer Applicable In 2017 by livingseed: 6:45pm On Mar 13, 2017
Err... these five things are still applicable in 2017 but subject to one applicant to another applicant. In addition to book smartness, someone cited a trait called street smartness which is very vital to succeeding in life. Being endowed with a fine measure of book smart and street smart is to probably strike a balance.
FamilyRe: How Can I Handle My Toxic Parents? by livingseed: 5:35pm On Feb 17, 2017
You don't have your own money yet so you can't handle your toxic parent for now. They can't take away privileges because you don't have any yet. You don't have personal freedoms to be taken away for now too.

Is challenging authority a bad thing? Yes and No. It can be a bad thing or good thing, but that totally depends on the situation.

Challenging authority is not a bad thing when you have your own money. By then, the useless and stupid hurtful words will stop. That's how it is for some Nigerian parents plain and simple.

chances are you won't take it well ,and say stuffs like but were friends ,I take you like my big brother etc so he holds out waiting for the perfect time but there is no such time...
Lol. Some believe there's never a wrong time, others do believe Timing is everything.

Too soon, it may ruin things. Too late, it may ruin things too. But yeah, "They" say one shouldn't hesitate to say it because he/she isn't promised tomorrow.

Have you ever wanted to tell someone anything before, but you knew that you had to wait? cool
FamilyRe: How Long Should a Widower Wait Before Remarrying. by livingseed: 2:46pm On Jan 17, 2017
There is no minimum time set for widow or widowers to marry. The time should be set by individuals involved.

Obasanjo led us to this situation. He brought incompetent corrupt peoples, so we were forced to follow such a man like this present president.

thanks for the info. You are suggesting I show funds for the two years?
Opzy,

I think I would show available fund for 2yrs stay if my program was 2yrs but Team16 said no harm to show just 1yr expense so pls ask more questions or politely ask for reference to gain more understanding.

Yes. Personally, I think it's not bad to show funds for the two years in the IMM 1294E. Don't forget to show complementary proof of that fund on your account statement. You can show $103k as funds available for your two years stay on the IMM 1294E. Please get more info.

Hello Gurus in the house, please i need explanation in filling the funds part of the IMM1294E form...if my complete tuition for the duration of two years is $33k....what do i fill under the room and board, other and funds available for my stay...which of this three will the extra $10k fall under?
Hi opsyF,
You might still need more clarity on it. But here is my small guess on what to fill under room and board, other and funds available for your stay.

Let's assume you pay $500 per month for room and you got $2000 per month for board. Then room (shelter) = 500x 2years = 12,000. Board ( eats, fares, keeps) = 2000 x 2years = 48000. Hence Room and Board = $60,000. The extra $10k should fall under Other. Overall, funds available for your stay = 33k(Tuition) + 60k(Room and Board) + 10k(Other) = $103k. Hope this helps a little.

Well technically, you do not get a study permit from the CDHC. You get more like a letter of introduction from them... You get the actual study permit at the POE. (I hope this is still the practice). So if you arrive at the POE without the letter, you may not be permitted to enter as a student.

Take a look at this link ...
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/students/application.asp

It is a guide used by CIC staff for study permits. It will be very useful in your quest.
The guide was exactly very useful. Can't thank you enough thebaft. Thanks!!

With your TRV, you can only study in Canada for a program that is six months or less ... For your one 1yr pgc, you definitely need a study permit.
Thank you thebaft.
