its the same rate as other sellers so why would i assume that his cards are FRAUDULENT unless he tells me which he ADMITTED he didn't.

It's different if he sold them at say N150/$, then I would know something was up, but why would I be suspicious when his rates are the same as others whom I've traded with & had no problems

Madam, forget this issue and move on. You are lucky you got a some of your money back and the money involved is not much.

If you open a new account, travel to the USA and buy the cards yourself with cash, come back to naija to load and use, Amazon will still lock your account and tell you you used invalid gc.

To prevent it, load your dollar card with funds at 360/$ and purchase your goods.

I'm failing to see the correlation between money transfer and sales of gift cards here. We are talking about cards that were never meant to be sold in the first place. Selling of gift cards at any capacity is illegal how much more cards that have been ripped? So we should look the other way because 5% (according to you) of those trading it acquired it legally?

@Puskin, the thread was not created for gift cards. It was initially created for exchange of e-currency such as Paypal, netteller, payoneer, skrill etc. It was much later that the gift cards sales got introduced. Putting a stop to it should not affect the flow of this thread in any way

I hope you know the sale of those e currencies you mentioned is illegal too. If you don’t know call your lawyer. This whole thread should be closed, Nigeria’s black market should follow, aboki’s must die

As I said previously, there's $500 (N105,000) involved here.

I'm already bearing the loss on $100 (N21,000) which is the normal ecodes we've been trading.

But for this $400 (N84,000) he PURPOSELY sent stolen physical cards with no proof of purchase knowing I wouldn't question him because we'd been trading previously.

So he CANNOT expect me to bear this loss because he knew exactly what he was doing.

Aunty, it’s either you dabbled into business you know nothing about or your just feigning ignorance just to recover your money that’s lost. When you were enjoying cheap rate in your previous dealings didn’t you feel something was off or did you think he was wiring money to his family members in the USA @360 and above to sell at 220 in gift cards?

People loose money on this amazon thing everyday, I have lost over 5million Naira this year alone because of bad cards, account closure and amazon’sgeneral craziness. so your case is not the first. Count your losses and move on, next time take time to understand what your putting yourself into before you go into it.

all PayPal funds can be refunded or charged back. PayPal can even refund automatically if they sense unusual activity.

Oga unauthorized access claim will bring back your funds. PayPal will ask for tracking information, if he can’t produce that they will ask for documents relating to nature of his business, once they no see any reasonable answer they will refund the money to the sender. Even if you specify it’s digital good they will still ask for all this info.
