Abeokuta guys how far,
Is there anyone that did capturing on the 29th or 30th of june renewal and has gotten their passport?
someone should answer me please am in Lagos. My agent said hopefully by monday it will be ready , i have been and he is not picking his calls

I have spanish permanent resident visa on my old passport which got missing in 2016.
I got the visa on 2015 october but i did not use it, meaning that i did not travel to spain.
Am i still under a First timer or a Frequent traveller?

If you have travel to schengen countries then you are frequent traveller so what you need to do is to make copies of your schengen visas and submit with your application. Even when you didn't use it, it still count

I finally got my passport today. Strictly DIY. Spent 29k in total. I captured on the 18th of June and was asked to come for it on August 23rd. I decided to go check on it today that's before the due date for Collection and luckily got it. Now I can apply for jobs with my full chest. Thank God

Yes is different, 19760 is VFS service charge and you will pay visa fee at the centre. Before now applicant pay all at the centre, remember you will also pay for DHL now compulsory for passport delivery no more pick up .

Na passport oooo... Nothing else. Maybe I should recap the situation again, so you understand.
Wife has expired passport in her maiden name, so renewal/change of name due to marriage.
Husband has expired passport in his old compound name (surname - KING; he did the passport before he married) , and wants new passport in his last name which the wife and children use( surname - KINGSTER). Marriage certificate, NIN, Driver's License are all in KINGSTER, He has sworn affidavit and newspaper publication for change of name, and likewise the wife.

I don't know how those documents are not enough to capture the wife ooooo until the man does a valid passport. We were giving lectures and stories of how women run away with the kids and all sort. I tire oooo

The will give you dates based on availability. I realised in my recent search that if you are in lagos, u can get dates in August, but if u are in abuja, the earliest dates are in September. No idea why but I'm guessing because of covid they are accepting certain number per day. So if you are in lagos, u can try, you might get the dates but the longer you wait the farther the dates change

When you are booking for appointment online, is there an option to pick the date you want or is the embassy that will give you a date based on the avaliability?

Because am planning to submitt on the second week of august, like on the 12th. I hope i can get that date.

About the change of name, you need to ask another officer because i did change of name in 2016 and it cost me 60k. 200k is way too much.

They won't capture you until you produce court document of separation/divorce from your husband. It is a seriously messed up situation for separated women. Yes, there is a court ruling nullifying consent letter from Husband as a requirement - but they choose to play deaf to that ruling ( they still process it still if you are strong willed or ready to pay the errand immigration boys) and will rather frustrate women especially when it is DIY.

Since you are not legally divorced yet, maybe (ASK Others ooo) you should use married as your marital status especially if you can get a copy of your husband valid passport. A lot might be tied to that court proceeding on your divorce when it comes to travelling and its document, please try to expedite the process with all you have.

I was actually thinking the consent letter is required when you want to apply for tourist visa.

Again, because of the above, my sis is going ahead with her registration, now they are insisting the husband needs to have a valid passport before she can capture. I had thought that a letter of authority from the husband will just suffice instead.
Then this idea of a women needs her husband consent or letter of authority to process her passport, there is a court judgement against that, I wondered why they still make it compulsory for women to have it as part of their documentation.

This is my first time of hearing that a married woman must get a consent letter from her husband. So that is part of the requirement for Tourist visa.

Please i need advice on the above. I used to be married and now separated from my husband for more than 3 years. I also applied for a divorce since 2019 which is still on process. My question is do i still need to get a consent letter from him because i know he can never agree to do that. At the moment i dont even know where the man is. I haven't seen him for more than 3 years now.

Or is there any document i can submit to prove that am no longer we are getting a divorce. Please my good people i need advice.

captured at Abeokuta since 29th of june, No test message yet. Infact i called the immigration officer that helped me this morning, he is no longer picking his calls.
And i need to apply 1st week of august.

I asked the immigration guy that helped me he said he wasn't sure mine is ready.
And I don't want to go from Lagos to Abeokuta when am not sure is there.

For renewal of international passport, NIN is only required if you wish to renew at Lagos, Abuja and Rivers state.

Yes, as far as I know NIN is required for passport renewal these days. The form has a required entry fir NIN. And the NIN is printed on the passport.

You can go to Abeokuta immigration office , if you are in Lagos, I did mine there .NIN is not required.

Ha! Let him book the appointment for you . You will pay inside VFS . Just make sure you have up to 60k in your account. This is for visa fee, appointment fee , VFS service charge and UPS courier if you live in Lagos. For other states I don't know the price. PLEASE go inside with your ATM card and have that amount in your account. Or you book the appointment yourself na!

To the best of my knowledge, a frequent (traveller) is one who has previously had at least a Used UK, USA, CANADA or SCHENGEN visa.

Having an unused and expired Spanish residence permit MIGHT favour your application, just state reasons you couldn't use it and tidy up other supporting documents, then you are good to go.

Hi,

1. For tourism application to France, you need to rule out your day to day activities in a cover letter, you will have to state things to do from day one until your last day (best to choose 5/7 days). If possible, book a cancellable Tours.

2. It is mostly important to submit a company bank statements of account along with your personal savings/current statements of account if you are a business or company owner.

3. As i am aware, at the moment, France gives preference to frequent travellers for the purpose of Tourism. (Currently on VFS site, there are no appointments for first time visitors) you can check;

Who are frequent travellers?
People who have at least travelled to The UK, USA, CANADA or SCHENGEN STATES.

4. For your balance of N500k, Flight ticket to France this summer is about an average of N410,000 (the Exchange rate on GDS platform just increased to 1 usd / N460 some days back), Hotel room for about 5 Nights can cost you a minimum of N200k, living expenses per day is estimated at an average of 50/60 Euros per person per day, for 5 days you should have 300 Euros (N180k) amidst other expenses (taking covid tests, etc).
The consular maybe puzzled at your true intention of wanting to travel for the purpose of tourism.

5. When you sum these, you have an average minimum of N800k, this implies that your trip is way above N800k on a N500k balance, the Consular MIGHT refuse your application on the grounds of insufficient funds.
Reasons been that, he will be concerned about what you and family will fall back to in Nigeria.

6. However, i am not saying it is not possible for you to be issued a visa, it is solely at the Consular's discretion.

7. Personally, i will advise you to work on your accounts and save more money.

Did biometrics July 1 in Lagos got my passport with France visa stamped on July 6. For tourism.
