I am presently in lagos and went to d apapa and tincan ports today and I want to ask how efficiently u do ur job and if u clear vehicles in record time cos the traffic i saw at d ports was crazy. Secondly, i need clarification on custom tariff, I intend getting a 2008 suv, mdx or mazda cx 9 and want to ask if al b charged 35% or 70% as custom duties. I also did a market survey of the vehicle prices at d berger auto market and they were very high compared to quotes by nairaland dealers. These high prices they said were attributed to hike in custom duties and exchange rate. Many thanks.

Asking price for 2009 CRV is N2.2M + N400,000 custom duty.

Asking price for 2009 Mazda CX7 is N1.950 + N480,000 custom duty.

Asking price for 2009 Mazda CX9 is N2.3M + N480,000 custom duty.

Asking price for 2009 Ford edge is N2.5M + N550,000 custom duty.

The Mazda CX 7 and 9 seem affordable and nice bargains. Although I prefer d CX 9, I want to ask if there are particular problems with d ride i.e. Engine, gearbox or braking system. If there are none I feel strongly its a gud buy and I am tempted to switch from d 2007 acura mdx am planning to buy to d CX 9.

Hi tks a lot for all d clarifications u av given on this thread. But a further question I wanna ask is how will d balance of car be paid after d initial deposit of N50,000 to d dealer. I am asking cos I don't know if there is risk of theft of coming back to seme to retrieve cash for d balance. Do u also handle payment of d cotonou duty if not how will dat one be paid too including escort payment to Nigeria.

Are lagos girls dat expensive. Just came into lagos on monday and am lodging in obalende behind kings college. I chatted 3 chicks on badoo and 1 told me 25K while d oda 2 told me 50k for TDB and just 3 rounds. I just respect my self.

Also, what controls are in place to ensure that the car on arrival at the Nigerian border is intact and not tampered it. Finally, as a buyer, can I be in d car from when it is bought and escorted to the Nigerian border.
