It's terrible. I know someone who died in an accident. When pictures of the car was shared, we noticed that despite the impact, no airbag deployed

The answer was simple: They thought they bought a Tokunboh with "full option", "non accidented" and blah blah blah... But the car had no airbag

A lot of Nigerians drive cars without airbags just because one person wants to be greedy.

Ask for the valuation and duty payable on your vehicle and request for them to raise the D/N, generate assessment for you to go pay. Don't settle them. You can pay the Assesed Duty yourself . They can't impound your car as long as it was genuinely cleared and you paid the exact amount the valuation at the port gave you to pay. Of the whole sum you gave your clearing agent, he will pay Shipping charges, Terminal charges and other running expenses out of it.

So the 2014 GX460 i pre-ordered from Manheim through KakakiAutos since July finally arrived this November 2019. You can see the thread here: https://www.nairaland.com/5281450/experience-buying-2014-lexus-gx460

KakakiAutos recommended AdexFem as the clearing agent. In his words, "Using AdexFem will cost you more than other agents because Adexfem pays full duty on cars he clears, unlike other agents that cut corners."

I said good, i will rather go with the expensive Adexfem option and have peace of mind than being penny wise pound foolish. So i was billed N2.750M (Two Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) to clear the vehicle with full duty paid and i transferred the full sum same day. Only to have my vehicle impounded today and taken to the customs office because Adexfem decided to shortchange the Government; after collecting full payment from me.

Continued: Those who have done business with me on Nairaland like Gazzuzz and others know that i don't pinch pennies, and i hate cutting corners. Out of the N2.750M handed over to him for clearance, Adexfem paid a duty of N1.5M plus other minor charges bringing the total receipted sum he paid to N1.9M.

The most annoying part of this whole incident was that while the driver was on the road today, i kept asking repeatedly if the full duty was paid so that the driver will know his stand when dealing with the custom officers on the road. Adexfem kept reassuring me that the full duty was paid. My driver and escort had a rough day along the road with the customs until we got to custom checkpoint 4 and we were asked to go pay full duty or settle them with N200k.

N200k settlement at checkpoint 4, after paying N2.750M with about 7 or more checkpoints to go through. The custom officers requested to know how much exactly was given to our clearing agent (Adexfem) for the car. My driver called Adexfem to speak with the officers but he only made matters worst by name dropping and telling them that this is Nigeria.

The custom officers got annoyed with his statement and impounded the car. I got across to Adexfem and he said it would have been better we spent N200k settling them than allowing them take the car to their office. That was when he opened up that he paid N1.9M total and used the N850k or there about to grease palms at the port.

Please for the record, KakakiAutos is not to blame in anyway for this. He delivered on his promise despite all the hurdles we experienced during the buying process. There's no harm in recommending your client to another business that offers complimentary service.

I just created a new account for this post, please i need mature advice. My husband has been so broke for years now, he never ever gets money if we have any emergency for my kids sickness, school fees, etc. He likes hallucinating about how he will be rich by getting one juicy political appointment cause he is into politics. Sometimes he hustles to just get food and it ends there(this does not come often), no basic needs like school fees etc. Before you judge me as not being supportive, i am not employed at the moment but i struggle and hustle the little way i can to assist in the house upkeep. I paid school fees, i even gave him a large some to add to our ongoing project but the money unfortunately didn't complete it.

Now our room window net spoit and there is a big bush just around the window. He is not doing anything about fixing the window net as usual, i didn't nag him. I just closed the windows permanently, but i noticed this morning that he opened the windows through out last night, same as the night before. My two children sleep on the same bed. He had to put us at risk like that just for ventilation sake without considering what could creep into our room.

Please i need serious advice on how to handle this, he collected all my savings to add to the project.
NOTE: He leaves the house everyday to come back very late, cause he still serves this political big guys yet there is nothing to show for it.

UNDERSTANDING TITHING

I don't like talking about this topic, but this pulpit ..... are very serious these days, destroying the finished work of Christ and limiting the death of Christ to certain monetary percentage thereby making mockery of our faith.

Abraham NEVER paid tithe. He gave out 10% of war loot and that CANNOT be called tithe. He later returned everything to those who He collected them from. Abraham didn't pay from his income.

It was never called tithe, if it was tithe, Abraham would have paid from his income and regularly. Tithe only exist in the law which is now weak and useless as stated in the book of Hebrews 7:18-19 and the TRUE percentage of all the three types of tithe is about 23% as stated in the book of law. 10% is not the full tithe, there are other two types of tithe they don't tell you about. How will you know when you don't read the scriptures? � �

Ask your Pastors or Priests why they don't tell you about the other two types of tithing.

Wisper: It's because it doesn't enter their pocket and you will decode their lies easily about the one they have been collecting �. Humans are selfish in nature. Yeah! Your Pastor or Priest is selfish and I can prove it biblically.

Proof:
The three different types of tithe are as follows:

1) The Levitical, or sacred tithe (Num. 18: 21-24).
21 “I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the tent of meeting. 22 From now on the Israelites must not go near the tent of meeting, or they will bear the consequences of their sin and will die. 23 It is the Levites who are to do the work at the tent of meeting and bear the responsibility for any offenses they commit against it. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. They will receive no inheritance among the Israelites. 24 Instead, I give to the Levites as their inheritance the tithes that the Israelites present as an offering to the Lord. That is why I said concerning them: ‘They will have no inheritance among the Israelites.’”

Note: This tithe is strictly for the Levites, descendants of Jacob’s son Levi. Your Pastor/Priest isn't a Levite, He's not even a Jew. Hebrews 7:5 stated that Levites are the ones who collect tithe. Read Exodus 32:25-29 to see how faithful and committed the Levites were and what truly got them the position they occupied. If you study the laws in the old testament, you will discover that laws are all strict instructions and if you fail to obey it, you pay dearly, sometimes with blood which maybe yours.

2) The tithe of the feasts (Deut. 14:22-27).
22 Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. 23 Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the Lord your God always. 24 But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the Lord your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the Lord will choose to put his Name is so far away), 25 then exchange your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the Lord your God will choose. 26 Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice. 27 And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own.

3) The tithe for the poor (Deut. 14:28-29).
28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, 29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

They were made responsible for distributing the supplies to their fellow Levites.

If Christ is our high priest and He never collected or asked anyone to pay tithe, this simply means Christians aren't suppose to pay tithe. Only Jews who practice Judaism whom the Levites are still their high priest are to pay tithe. Read the whole of Hebrews 7 to fully understand this.

They don't like using Deuteronomy and Numbers to teach you because you will see the conditions which they don't qualify for, they prefer Malachi because it doesn't have full details. Hence tithing is concern, Malachi is pointing back to Numbers, just like a news headline of an article while Deuteronomy and Numbers is the full content.

Don't forget that deuteronomy and numbers come before Malachi.

What Abraham did was never called TITHE and it happened only once. Tithe works only for the receiver. Imagine if you're the Pastor/Priest receiving tithes from thousands of gullible people, won't it work for you?

Worshipers of Mammon want to limit God's grace and finished work to 10%. Majority of people of China �� you hear about aren't Christians, if tithe work the way they claim it does, Nigeria should be better than China.
Only about 1% of China population are Christians. Dubai you rush to enter, do the Arab people who turned a desert into a paradise pay tithe?

The people of the world poverty capital are gullible and should be awarded as world most gullible country.

If any preacher needs money, let him tell us and we will willingly do donation not using the Bible to scam the followers. If the preachers use the strength they use in preaching about tithe to teach the people how to live a moral upright life, Nigeria with all her resources would have been one of the best countries in the world.

Galatians 3 vs 10

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”
