I would have loved to write a long piece on this but "time no dey". I see a lot of amateurs talking NO DISRESPECT to anyone. Using myself as an example I have at least 5 different business partners in Nigeria and they are all trustworthy and brilliant at what they do. You work hard to get good people around you and REWARD THEM well its important to your success. I have lost more money in UK and America than in Naija. I have been 419ed by an English business partner so my people anyone around the world can run away with your money it upto you to choose wisely. It can be done, people are doing it. Please for people without business experience in naija or elsewhere go and do a lot of investigations instead of giving people the negative aspects alone. Some of your points are very valid but you should also include the positives. Naija at the moment is the best place to invest. Obviously invest right. WE ARE TRYING TO GROW OUR LITTLE UP AND COMING ECONOMY so help us help ourselves by promoting our country in a positive image. I have white friends that have invested in naija businesses you know.

I am so sick and tired of how ordinary people are treated by our so called police officers.

What happenned to my junior brother. I faxed him an invitation letter and some documents like I do every year for his holiday in UK. while he was at the business centre police came and arrested everyone and they accused him of possessing fake documents even though they saw that we had thesame surname and they also saw the british fax number on the documents. My Brother actually spend the night at the station because they refused him calling anyone as they seized his phone and nobody knew he was arrested because he leaves in campus. To cut the long story short we had to pay N30,000 for an innocent 21 yrs old boys release. For doing absolutely nothing.

This is a curse, MAY GOD PURNISH ALL THOSE COURSING PAIN TO THE INNOCENT PEOPLE (theives, police and corrupt politicians) they will never use that money to do anything good in their lifes, that money will be the curse of their lifes.

The state of law makes me sick in mu beloved country. During my holiday in December I was almost stripped searched, the guy even checked my shoes. They will not stop thieves only innocent young men in nice cars. I was so glad I had no pounds on me.

I have been on the Virgin one in London and its fantastic. It will be nice if something like that works in Naija but the locations will be restricted just like all the helicopters now flying about as you know NEPA (or what do the call themselves now) wires will disturb. If its well thought through I think it can work.

I will say THE PRODUCER, there are lots of writers out there, good writers but their story is doing nothing in the bottom of their wardrope.  A Producer makes a movie happens and like Seun said he employs the good Director that brings the movie to screen. WITHOUT producers there will be no HOLLYWOOD. That is why producers get the biggest slice of the pie. Thats my opinion.

Yes you can sell your shares to your friend but your broker will have to do the transfer for you. Your broker will do it in a way that you are selling and your friend is buying but the difference is that you will sell to your friend at a price you have but agreed NOT the stock market price. Speak to your broker its very easy to do, you can even decide to sell a part of it if you wish. I use www.crossworldsec.biz they are quite good.

This is a big topic I wish I had more time but I will contribute a little.
Firstly, don't be fooled by big companies like microsoft or Google or Shell etc. Most of this big businesses are broken down into managable subsidiaries and very professionally run.
Your idea is very good and it reminds me of the way Richard Branson runs his business empire. The virgin business empire is run as a branded venture capital. Basically if you have a big business idea you can go to Richard Branson who will sponsor you and you will also have the use of the Virgin Brand he usually does a 60% - 40% split he gets the 60. Or if he starts a business on his own he gets the best manager or the best expert in that field to run the business and gives them a 40% equity in the business. Together with the managers expertise and the attractive equity no wonder VIRGIN businesses are a big success around the world. Just like you want, all his businesses are indiviually run and the Virgin Group acts as a parent company in which they can borrow money in hard times or if they want to grow.
To run an empire in this manner you need cashflow which basically means you need a source of income (business) that can generate excess cash to fund the growth of your empire infact excessive cash is needed. Creating a big empire requires a very very good business foundation. All the big investors made their first few millions by running their own businesses, selling it or raising an IPO and when they make their million they now have time to grow their business e.g by buying competitors, starting new businesses or generally growing and improving what they already have.
Business in itself is easy to manager the biggest problem is managing people, if you can manage people successfully and have a great cashflow you are onto a winner.
Your business model is good it just needs a little brush up and you will be fine, don't worry you will figure it out as you go. All you need to do right now is concentrate to making your present business a big success so it can fund your plans or at least give you enough leverage with the banks and suitable investors. Dont forget to be mega rich you gats to USE OTHER PEOPLES MONEY e.g bank loan, IPO, Debentures, investors (private placement)etc. That is why most businesses go on the stock market to raise capital so they can grow. In the process of an IPO the funders of the business beomes mega rich. Bill Gates was a millionaire before Microsoft IPO,Larry and Sergey were millionaire before Google IPO but they all became overnight billionaire after their companies IPO and so many other like that. Obviously the down side is the fact that you lose some control in your business as you are now working with peoples money. 
Nothing is too small to start. I currently have business partners whereby they run the business and I watch from a distance and receive my returns as apprioprate and yes I have a shot gun clause anyways good luck

I can do business with Nigerian o. I have been in UK for a long time now and when I started looking for business opportunities in Nigeria I found out my friends and family were my best option. I have lost money through fraudulent business partners but that will not deter me from dealing with Nigerians afterall I am Nigerian as well. I have even lost money doing business with a fraudulent English man. They are everywhere and no nation should be sterotyped. Although I know Nigeria has a reputation around the would because of the image Yahoo boys and 419s as given us.

Don't forget each time you invest in shares on Nigerian Stock Exchange you are doing business with a Nigeria, all the company executives become your business partners. If you put money in the bank, the bank becomes your partner and its Nigerian.

After going though ups and downs picking partners now I can say I have a good number of trusted partners which I don't need to supervise in anyway shape or form. There are a lot of trusted people out there you just have to be careful and manage your money well. Oh my days there are lots and lots of fraudstars in UK all you need to do is look at their adverts in the papers, always looking for ways to steal from people but the fact is experience is the best teacher. I don't think there is any successful business man that can escape been dupe at least once.

We need to help ourselves so we can change this negative image of our country. The government is not going to do it because the people is the government. We need to start within ourselves.
