Her school would resume early August. I sought for advice from the International Advisor she's attached to, on what she would need to do to maintain her status. The advice I got was that nothing was really required from her except to register for the Fall semester before travelling out of USA. Reading the advice quoted above, it appears to me that she should renew her F1 visa in Nigeria before returning to the USA. If this is the correct situation, can she renew the visa before expiration? Her visa wouldn't expire until early August 2017 and she would return last week in July 2017. |

The key now is to defer your current admits, asking them re-evaluate your profile for next session funding. Also follow up with faculty member to consider you in their research group. List out new schools and mail their faculty with research interest that interest yours. Their reply will determine whether to apply or not. Funding is not that easy, it depends on availability. So start mailing faculty like never before . |

obaxlove:Are you sure of the bolded? Personally I have used ECE before and it took them 14 working days after they have received my transcript to evaluate mine transcript. What normally delay the evaluation is the sending and receiving of transcript between schools and evaluation agency. |

obaxlove:No such negative feedback though their evaluation result can't be compare to WES and ECE evaluation outcome. So far, WES is still the best. If your CGPA is low and you still have ample time, I suggest you use WES. |

Visa approved this morning. Thanks to everyone that have been keeping this thread active ever since. The same woman that did mine finger printing also interviewed me. VO: Passed me your documents Me: I passed my I20 and Passport VO: Tell me your course plan Me: I'm going to Montana Tech for master's degree in Geological Engineering, in this course I will be taking 20 credits of courseworks, 8 research thesis and 2 credits of graduate seminars. VO:What courses will you take ME: Slope stability design, Structural geology, Advanced engineering geology. I stopped while she continue to type. VO:I see you have a tuition waiver, how did you get it ME:The admission committee was impressed with my documents and also I was interviewed by my advisor who show great interest in me VO: I will be approving your visa. it will be ready on Thursday, take it at this circled location.
