Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose on Wednesday described President Muhammadu Buhari as ‘father of corruption’ over his refusal to petition Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Kayode Fayemi and other corrupt officials in his camp In a statement issued by by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor accused Buhari of leading a government of corrupt people and shielding his cohorts from prosecution. The statement reads “President Muhammadu Buhari must stop deceiving himself with his fight against corruption, Ibrahim Magu was challenged at a function in Abuja on the commission’s refusal to investigate Fayemi, despite the loads of petitions against him and the EFCC boss could not offer any explanation. “The reality is that President Buhari is leading a government of scandalously corrupt people and one of them is Dr Kayode Fayemi. “It is even safe to say that President Buhari is the father of corruption and that has been further established by the attitude of the President towards his men that have been accused of corruption. “From MainaGate to allegation of award of $25 billion contracts without following due process made against Dr. Maikanti Baru by Dr Ibe Kachikwu, the DSS indictment for corruption of the Acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu and the alleged N500 million bribery said to have been paid to the Chief of Staff (COS), Abba Kyari by officials of the MTN Telecommunications Company, President Buhari has remained the shield over and above his corrupt men.” http://dailypost.ng/2017/12/13/buhari-nigerias-father-corruption-fayose/ |

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja had on Wednesday ruled that the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki must face trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT. The court also dismissed 15 out of the 18 counts of false assets declaration instituted against the Senate President, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The Justice Tinuade Akomolafe-Wilson-led three man panel unanimously ordered the Senate President to return to the CCT to face trial on three of the counts. The Appeal Court had earlier reserved its judgement on the appeal filed by the Federal Government challenging the acquittal of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, by the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT. Saraki is facing trial on an 18-count charge of false asset declaration and other related offences levelled against him by the Federal government http://dailypost.ng/2017/12/12/breaking-appeal-court-rules-saraki-says-must-face-trial/ |
Controversial OAP Daddy Freeze is out with a new episode of his Vlog and it’s about Pastors using private jet. This is an issue he has been dragging on social media for some time now. https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2017/12/12/pastors-use-private-jet-daddy-freeze/ |
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, says his pursuit for change made him to leave his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). Mr. Amaechi said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos last Saturday. He said he would have done otherwise by staying in PDP to fight for the change, instead, he said he crossed over to APC because of his belief in President Muhammadu Buhari. “I moved from PDP to APC because I was tired of what was happening in the party, I had the option to stay because of my position as the Chairman of the Governors then. “I could use my position to fight them (PDP) and get what I wanted because I believed Nigeria was not going in the right direction by then. “My attention and belief shifted to Buhari which was the viable alternative, I believed in the change mantra because it was the only way to improve on what is on ground. “He has not disappointed because the economy is now back on track and is growing. This is evident in the current prices of food items because it’s getting lower,’’ he told NAN. Mr. Amaechi said prices of food would further crash because of the efforts of the government at making the country self-sufficient in food production. “With the change going on, the price will further crash because before this government came in, the price were soaring because we were importing food items, things we can grow here. Now the policy of government is working which banned the importation of rice, the price is now about N16,000, but before now, we are importing about N3 billion worth of rice. “Before now too, we were importing another N3 billion worth of poultry products, we are importing tomatoes but with the ban, we are now concentrating on our local production. “Many states in the northern part of the country are now growing rice in large quantities though by right, the South-South geo-political zone should be doing that because they are the ones in the swampy area,’’ he said. Mr. Amaechi said the wastage in the PDP era was alarming, adding that the depletion of the excess crude account was supposed not have been. “When Obasanjo was leaving, he left about 65 billion dollars in the Excess Crude Account, but this money was frittered away and we wonder where the money is. “As at then, the price of crude oil during the president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration hovered around 140 dollars with this, they did not leave anything for the incoming government. “With that kind of money, we should be thinking of connecting Nigeria through rail system. The rail between Ibadan to Kano would have been completed. “Also the rail gauge between Port Harcourt to Maiduguri and Lagos to Calabar, but all the excess crude money was frittered away, we need to ask questions,’’ he said. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/252241-buhari-not-disappointed-amaechi.html |

I am not a member of a political party but a Nigerian, this present administration has been on board since 2015, I cannot reflect to any positive achievement, I hope they won't campaign on the failures of previous government but campaign on what they have achieved since they came on board. If you think am not been fair, enlighten me. ‘I BELONG TO EVERYBODY AND I BELONG TO NOBODY' |

The first thing you need to know is that things could actually get worse, you are reading this and you still take cash from your mum and dad to get a beer or to even impress a lady, it's something to be ashamed of but the truth remains that you will have to get the money somehow (be thankful you have parent to collect from) people do end up in prison or worse just for that change, don't feel depressed because you are through with your education and have even completed NYSC some years back, the truth is that you need to keep busy, even if it means working for free, it's not easy but staying focused and believing in God will definitely pay off someday. Don't bring sadness to your family because you could not secure a job this year, if not for anything be thankful because you are employable and alive, the dead don't apply for jobs. Next year holds great promise and I wish every unemployed person a prestigious occupation come tomorrow. Stay blessed and keep busy. What can I get busy with? 1. Read everything and get informed 2. Participate in social and religious activities 3. Watch television and listening to radio 4. Know your environment and people around 5. Do domestic chores 6. Write a book or draft a business plan

The real issue with Christians is the fact that they don't read their bible, this debate on tithe has got me studying my bible more than usual, the most disturbing thing is the selective approach in preaching the gospel, they forget Matthew 6:19-21, preachers forget that charity was a contributing factor to the growth of the early church, but what we have today are individuals doing good to church only, and no response from the church to the people(needy) rather we now have church investment not for the needy but for revenue generation, it is funny how a church will build an institution with people's money yet the people can't afford it. Wealth has taken the place of salvation. May God give us wisdom.
