Romance / Is Kissing Part Of Our Culture? by Lokooneone(m): 10:32am On Apr 22, 2012
The habit of mingling of tongue and swaping of saliva(kissing)in this age is quite alarming especially in Nigeria.

Taken a look at the dusty archive of homosapiens, the act was practiced and perfected by the whites.

In Africa today and particular in my dear country Naija,we kiss till the cow comes home.Kissing no doubt should be one of the prerequisite to sex and it should be engaged in secrecy just as sex(u may kiss d bride is an exemption)

Apart from the movies,I see people in public places kissing eachother and scaring the horses. The other day,I bumped into two teenagers eaten up eachother's lip as if there is no 2morrow.Has it come to this was the qst I couldn't provide answer to myself.

Kissing is certainly one of the ways to show you love the opposite sex and its not a crime that we've embraced it.But is it part of our culture to kiss?Kissing with reckless abandoned at that.

Family / Re: Would You Write Your Own Marital Vows Or Stick With The Conventional Vows? by Lokooneone(m): 1:39pm On Apr 05, 2012
breezy047:

Oga
There is no curse in sickness.
Its only a sickness that has no healing that becomes a curse.

Ever seen a man that never fell sick?

But you've seen men in good health who get healed daily.

Take a vow. . .take both the sweet and the bitter with it.
And you confess it with your own mouth on that day.

Well said bro.Infact u spoke my mind.

Ever seen a marriage without challenges? Dats why we have the 4 better for worse part of the vow.

@ThinYem n those who toe her line of reasoning, make una carry candle dey find whr petrol dey smell;una go soon see am.

No.
Some problems do not have solutions. . .Nigeria is one of them.
Just treat it like a 'terminal illness'!

Hmmm! But should we throw the baby away with the bath water? If the situation of this differs solution, what's the hope of the common man. Over to you Calloti.

Politics / Nigerians,is Revolution The Answer? by Lokooneone(m): 5:22pm On Mar 22, 2012
The current happenings in the 'nation state' called Nigeria leaves much to be desired,From d north to d south, east to west, there is an illwind that seem to be blowing anyone no good.
52 years after independence,we can point to little or nothing as a sovereign nation with vast natural resources.Suffice to say that we are yet to wake the sleeping gaint in us.
The captains that has navigated the ship of this country, many critics have attributed to the bane of our problems. The military and the civilian heads that have come and gone never got it right, some where even a clog in the wheel of progress.
What the country is presently experiencing now is the bad leadership foundation laid many years ago by some cabals who today still knows where the building is shaking.
The spate of political killings, robbery, kidnapping, political unrest, child trafficking, money laundering, unemployment, economic sabotage etc are testament to how urgent the country needs help.

If help will come at all, will it be from British that gave us autonomy? If they refuse to help, shud we stand to our feet and right the wrongs even if it involves laying down our lifes or watch to see d system decay further?

Have had many Nigerians talk about revolution especially the youths who are worst affected by the currents trends of things in the country.Their strong believe in revolution may have been connected with the fact that it has worked for some countries of the world who today are part of the developed nations of the world.

If it has to be revolution, there is always a price to be paid. For an heterogeneous country like Nigeria with versed ethnic groups and culture, will the price not be too much?

I put it to you fellow Nigerians,Is REVOLUTION what we need now or there is a solution somewhere begging to be discovered?
