EducationThings An Average Person Should Know Offhand... by lopjohnny(op): 8:56am On Oct 25, 2016
The following information should be known offhand by any average person,,, but it's a pity today that most people don't take it serious and think it's a normal stuff. They include,,,,

_ your phone number
_ your bank account details (account number, ATM pin) it's funny some do forget their ATM pin,,,,, just four digit.
_ your matriculation number,,, funny righthuh
_ the following contacts (your parents, siblings, lover)
_ your school anthem....... Some students have spent three to four years in the University and yet to know their school anthem while some don't even know the National anthem,,, especially the second stanza (I have witnessed scene several times)
_ And lastly the Nigeria's thirty six States and capital........ The last time some recite it last was in the primary school days........ It won't be funny when you go for an interview and you are asked to recite the states and capital of your country and you start shaking mouth like someone that has just been bitten by heavy rain.

These are not good times for Prince Jide Kosoko, he needs our prayers to be able to manage the issues that are facing him from his late wife's family. The funeral of late Henrietta Emumeakpor- Kosoko slated for Regina Mundi, Mushin, Lagos has been suspended according to reports. Also, her remains will also not be buried in Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos as earlier released planned. According to a member of the burial committee who spoke to encomium, under the condition of anonymity, the reason for the cancellation of the Lagos funeral arrangement was not unconnected with the fact that Henrietta’s family from Delta state insisted that their daughter must not be buried outside. “It’s true that Henrietta’s remains will no longer be buried in Lagos. Her siblings and other members of her family have insisted they’re not burying her in Lagos as earlier planned by Jide Kosoko.

The world's shortest couple - who both measure less than three feet tall - have proved that size doesn't matter when it comes to love. #JVTECH

Paulo Gabriel da Silva Barros and Katyucia Hoshino, from Brazil, both have forms of dwarfism and stand at 34.8in and 35.2in respectively.

Both say they have faced discrimination for their size and have been pointed and stared at in the street - with passers-by openly laughing at their stature.

The pair, who hopes to enter the Guinness Book of World Records, said they met on a social media website ten years ago and started chatting on MSN Messenger.

The couple hopes to get married and have children in the future – although it may be difficult for Katyucia to carry a baby full-term because of her size. (Mirror)

CrimeOMG, Teacher Killed 10 Years Old People In Ogun State. Her Reason Will Wow You by lopjohnny(op): 11:45pm On Jun 03, 2016
A teacher in a private school, Edet Umoren, who beheaded a 10 year old pupil, Precious Adedeji, last Thursday in Esugbo, Itamerin, near Ijebu-Ife, in the Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State, said he was triggered by the victim and the head teacher, who is the wife of the proprietor. Adedeji, a pupil of Favour Nursery and Primary School, was the granddaughter of the proprietor, Pastor Joseph Olutoye.See more graphic photos after the cut... PHOTOS She was killed by the mugger a day after her 10th birthday. Umoren was paraded on Monday at the headquarters of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Magbon, Abeokuta, along with six suspected kidnappers and a suspected Boko Haram member by the state Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali. PHOTOS The 52-year-old native of Akwa Ibom State said he committed the crime because Adedeji and the head teacher made him angry by some uncomplimentary remarks they made. He also said he never knew what came over him, adding that he regretted his action. He said, That morning, I held a cutlass which I used to cut canes in the bush to discipline pupils. The girl(Adedeji) and the head teacher saw me and made some remarks which provoked me; then I used the cutlass to behead her. “I never knew what came over me; it was when I had carried out the act that I regained my senses. I regret my action.” Umoren, who said he was married with three children, explained that the proprietor owed him four years salary arrears, adding that his salary was N7,000 per month and not N4,000.

Plaque that is ravaging our nation tomatoes

Tuta absoluta, aka the tomato leafminer, is ravaging tomato farms in the north-east, north-west and central regions of Nigeria–

The larvae attack the leaves of the tomato plant by feeding on them voraciously

– The ‘Tomato Ebola’ has the ability to wipe out a farm within days

– It has caused a colossal shortage in supply, with consequently sky-rocketing prices, increasing by at least five-fold

Just when the nation’s tomato farmers were beginning to reap the rewards of the government’s stopping of the importation of substandard tomato produce, which was costing Nigeria N80bn annually, there comes a plague that is threatening to wipe out tomato farms. Its devastating effects have prompted Nigeria’s and Africa’s wealthiest man, Aliko Dangote, to suspend production at his recently built tomato processing plant in northern Kano state because of a lack of tomatoes.

The culprit is a moth with the biological name tuta absoluta, aka the tomato leafminer, but now generally referred to as the ‘Tomato Ebola’, reflecting its destructive power in comparison to the dreaded Ebola virus.Tomato EbolaTuta absoluta is a grey-brown species of moth that is about 7mm long, with the ability to wipe out a farm within days.

A female pest can produce up to 260 eggs in 21 days. This reproductive capability, coupled with a lack of expertise concerning its control, were the reasons for its spread and the scale of the devastation. The tomato is the main host plant, but tuta absoluta also attacks other crop plants, including potato and pepper plants. Eight to ten generations can occur in a single year if the conditions are favourable.

Devastation

The larva attacks the leaves of the tomato plant by feeding on it voraciously, producing large galleries in leaves, and consuming green and ripe fruits, consequently causing up to 100% loss in yield in some farms.

Global spread

The moth was first identified as a tomato pest in 1927, when it was prevalent in many South American countries. It was first identified in Spain in 2006, before its detection in France, Italy, Greece, Malta, Morocco, Libya and Algeria. It continued its voracious appetite by infecting the Middle Eastern states of Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia. It further advanced to Africa, from Egypt to Sudan, Ethiopia, and Senegal, before being reported here in Nigeria.

What actually prompted me of creating this thread is that one of my neighbors is getting married today, see this lady ehn, saying she's an harlot would be an understatement, she is a public server who has terminated many pregnancies, but one man from God knows where he came from, not knowing the true image of the lady because the lady has been recently acting like an angel whenever she's with this man.
