[Ptolomeus]Indeed. When speaking of the holy spirit, speaking of the spirit of Jesus. The spirit of a dead or a ghost. Christianity and Catholicism are spiritist sects, who worship a spirit or a ghost. |
[Silanka]where is d joke? Inside dat ur cup |
Ubenedictus the use of both words spirit and ghost is from the old english which doesnt see any difference between them. A believer using any of them is ok, as far as he knows what he means. As far as he knows what he means. Ok |

I had 6 pencils altogether & gave away 3 of them to my little brother. I had 9 pencils left. The man is not so tall as he was when a baby. The express train sped along swiftly & silently as it had square wheels. A tramp, wishing to lengthen his blanket, took a bit off the top & added it to the bottom. "Kind sir! Please give me a copper as I'm deaf & dumb," cried the old beggar. The bombing, which began yesterday, has continued for 3 days without a break. "The elephant is a bonny bird, it flits from bough to bough, it makes its nest in the rhubarb tree, & whistles like a cow." "Twas in the month of Abuja, in the city of July, the rain was snowing heavily, and the streets were very dry." A father wrote to his son, "I enclose a postal order for £1. If u don't receive this letter, please let me know at once." 2 Eskimos were having a chat. The weather was so cold that, when one of them spoke, his words froze into blocks of ice. The other had to melt the blocks on a frying pan in order to find out what his friend had been saying. |

It is pellucid that the two words are used interchangeably, but I doubt the authenticity of one them. The Oxford advanced learners English dictionary defines ghost as the spirit of a DEAD person that a living person believes they can see or hear, & defines spirit as the part of a person that includes their mind, feelings & character rather than their body. I am now thinking Holy Ghost is a wrong word since ghost has to do with a dead person, & it is utterly absurd to tag a Spirit from God a ghost. Please what is your take on this? If you can elucidate with genuine reasons why this words can be used interchangeably I will be grateful. |
