Education › Did You Ever Take 1st Position In Your Class? by Lordave(op):
For those of us that spent their secondary school life in Nigeria, how many times did u take the 1st position in your class, and what was your most embarrassing position?
.
.
I was the champion in my class in a government secondary school until JSS2 2nd term I was transfered to a private school. I met hell in that school. My 1st result was 8th out of 25 students, I couldn't go home that day. Anyway, I fought back and won the 4th position the next term. In all I took 1st position 6 times and my most embarrassing was 12th position in JSS3 1st term. What about you?
Education › Re: Why Is Northern Nigeria So Backward Academically? by Lordave: 12:18pm On Aug 01, 2012
yemorinho: It's such a pain in the neck. I'm a serving corp member in one of the northern states and teaching in this Govt Sen Sec Sch has not been a bumper ride. I was assigned to teach mathematics and my first class was in SS3. I was solving statistics and got to a point where I exclaimed '6x6'. The whole class was silent like a grave. (Prior to this time I had been carrying everyone along, with an intermittent 'understood?' and they would chorus a 'yes sir'). I then started pointing at students randomly. Some said 12, some, 10. Most others were jst mute (these were students who would b sitting 4 SSCE 3months from that time ). Only one student, the head prefect bailed the class. Was further shocked the following day when some students I had given †he task of studying the multiplication table couldn't recite 2x table past '2x5'. It goes on an on... SS2 students also can't differentiate between '2 raise to power 3' and 2x3. To say the end of term assessment was woeful would b needless. My counterparts in other northen states also exprerience same and it cuts across all subjects. It's so discouraging, as this means students can't reproduce what u teach 'em owing to lack of the basic knowledge they ought 2 have acquired before that level. This got ♍e worried about the future of these lads.
My brother, the answer is Boko Haram

Politics › Re: What Is Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's Real Offence? by Lordave: 11:37pm On Jul 30, 2012
Builder: This woman's ideology is rather core neo-liberalism practiced in most western countries which is rob the poor to fatten the rich and Ngozi Iweala-Okonjo is just the ticket as she a bona fide student of the neoliberal socioeconomic concept.

This crazed woman is responsible for unleashing bankrupt neo-liberal--privatise everything even if it means massive economic suffering on Nigeria. Amongst criminal act and imcompentency was to lift the government subsidies on petroleum for Nigeria's poverty stricken population. During her tenure as Nigeria's Finance Minister, Nigeria has made zero economic development progress. The masses continue to suffer while the petroleum-fed Nigerian budget caters to the needs of its greedy and corrupt public officials. A big chunk of the budget--courtesy Iweala--just goes to overfeeding and pampering Nigeria's idle comprador bourgeoisie”. Revelations by wiki leaks showed how the US government mobilized support for the Jonathan administration and sent their illustrious daughter (Okonjo Iweala) to directly oversee their collective interests.

The Economist is English-language weekly news and international affairs publication owned by Rothschild banking family of England, once endorsed Ngozi Iweala Okonjo as its candidate for the world bank saying “: an economist with experience in finance and administration. It points to Okonjo-Iweala’s two stints as Nigeria’s finance minister, her leadership of the renegotiation of Nigeria’s Paris Club debt, and her time in a senior leadership position at the World Bank. She is very much a World Bank insider.”

But the magazine failed to point out the underlying principle behind the renegotiation of Nigeria’s debt is a ploy to satisfy her imperialist master for example this 12billion Naira renegotiation would have gone a long way to solving many infrastructural problems for example; healthcare, education and power shortages and massive upgrade to the country’s social amenities lest we forget, $35billion had already been paid in interest. You know you are bleeped when a western intelligent think-tank endorses you as a nominee, especially now that the western economy and fiancés are in a calamitous state ....

In June, this same woman warned Nigerians To Prepare For Economic Recession . When 95% of Nigerians have been in recession for the past 20 years
obviously JOBLESS...

Sun of god: She's incompetent . . . .Period.

Ask the average man on the street whether he has benefited from any of her policies.

She's been bad for Nigeria and bad for GEJ.
u should also ask urself, have ur Councilor, LGA chairman, state governor, even your biological father's policies affected you?

Sports › Re: Mikel Is Underrated By Outsiders - Frank Lampard by Lordave: 10:32pm On Jul 30, 2012
semid4lyfe: YES. . .he played some great footie towards the latter stages of last season but I'll never use the word brilliant to qualify Mikel as a player. BRILLIANT was Makalele (at Chelsea)

Question is, is Mikel the only player playing this "underrated" position in football?

If other players playing exactly his role score goals, why shouldn't he?

VERY TRUE. . .and I couldn't agree more. In fact, it's what he does best.

[i]FA FA FOUL. . .big lie shocked. Mikel no sabi tackle, intercept & win balls and break down opposing attacks. He's always running after opposing players when they've passed him. He's only good at collecting the ball from the back four, holding on to it & keeping possession and making short passes.

All in all, Lampard is just being a good team mate. grin
Bros u fit trap ball?
