A young lady was allegedly assaulted by the security aide of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state at the Mercy Land Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Makurdi on Sunday. Blessing Idoko pictured above allegedly accosted the Governor during church service on Sunday and spoke to him about suffering in the state. The Governor who was shocked by the girl’s effrontery ordered his security aides to take the girl out of his presence. The security men allegedly assaulted the lady who can be seen with scratches on her hand.

Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Ortom, Terver Akase has debunked the report. Arkase claims that the girl in question has mental instability.

Read his statement below;

"This is another desperate but failed attempt to tarnish the good image of Governor Samuel Ortom.


I saw the facebook post and went outside the church to investigate and I discovered that the incident did not take place in the entire time that the Governor and his entourage spent during the thanksgiving service. I asked every security person on duty within the church premises including those who accompanied the Governor. I also inquired from other people who were outside the church who might have seen the reported beating but no one could confirm the incident.
If anything took place at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mercyland Parish where Governor Ortom worshipped today as reported, then such an incident occurred some hours before the Governor arrived, in which case he cannot be blamed. Governor Ortom did not order the beating or harassment of anyone at the church."
2. But Ali Florence Mmemshima, who claims to be a worshipper at the church in question, and an eyewitness to the incident says;
"The incident took place but the governor should not be blamed because he did not order for her beating 1,secondly the governor was not there when she was beaten up and lastly she was beaten up because she lack manners,she should have left but instead was busy insulting and xchanging words with security agents."
3. Ben Achir Gube, one of the cyber hands for the Ortom government contends that;
"This is a big lie, the incidence occurred before the Governor and his entourage got there.
Secondly, the girl in question is said to be mentally unbalance and was admitted at psychiatric unit FMC , at the moment they are looking for her."
4. Philip Mbakuuv Ankyhquwa is said to be one of the inner circle members of the Ortom cyber media squad, and was recently credited with having led the move which got Gurgur Japhet sacked as SSA on Administration. He claimed that;
"The truth can't be more than what a friend has just narrated to me now. This lady cross carpeted from a cult group to 'blacks'. Her former colleagues are on her trail for many days now. She was actually hiding in one of her friend's houses close to the church. Her hunters traced her to the house this morning and on seeing them she except through the backdoor and wanted to run to the church to take refuge but she was unlucky they got her before the church and gave her a 'gorilla beating' before church members and security agents rescued her.

Police are currently after the cult boys."

The proud farmer wrote; “I am proud to be an Ohaji man (food basket of the Imo State).


A tuba of my cassava weighed 30kg, only 3 stems of cassava in my farm gave me one basin of garri.


The produce attracted neighborhoods to see for themselves as many testified that my farm produced d highest ever witnessed since they were born. I give God all d glory for giving me in abundance.

Popular Yoruba actress and filmmaker/writer, Yewande Adekoya has called out Akeem Olatunji Balogun of Olasco films for allegedly owing refusing to pay her over N2million he owes her and also threatening her life. In a broadcast message she sent on BBM, the happily married actress accused the top marketer of influencing other marketers from touching her movies and also casting her in movie roles because she refused to date him.

" Good day Nigerians. My name is Yewande Adekoya-Abiodun. I am a happily married movie producer, screenwriter and actress. I have been practising since 2002 and i am presently a bonafide member of Tampan. I want to beg Nigerians all over the world to pls help me tell Akeem Olatunji Balogun (Olasco films) to leave my life alone. If anything bad happens to me, Nigerians, pls hold Akeem Olatunji Balogun responsible. He has marketed my movies for about six years now and i have nothing to show for it financially. I do not even have a car of my own. He sold igbodudu 1&2, omo elemosho1&2, kudi klepto1&2, Emere, Irawo meji and Kurukuru1,2,3. This man is presently owing me the sum of 2million naira and he has refused to pay because he feels no one can challenge him. He has been owing me since 2014. When he owes you, you dare not ask for your money, if you do, he will start war just like the one he has just started. He is also not the type that signs a contract due to his dubious character. He prefers verbal agreements. He is very influencial in the yoruba movie market, so it is almost a waste of time to report him to anyone there. I know this because i had earlier reported him to several marketers who have rapor with him, still no result. I called the president of the yoruba marketers association, he didn't pick my calls. I was eventually able to speak with his assistant who sympatised with me and then told me that little or nothing could be done about the matter. Olasco has humiliated and oppressed me for too long, and now, i feel it's time to speak up. The last business deal i had with him that really pissed me off was Kurukuru, a three part movie i wrote and produced while i was 8months pregnant in 2015. He released kurukuru online and on DVD in nov 2015, and then claimed we didn't make any profit from the 3 releases of the movie despite the huge success record the movie had."
“ I decided to keep mute about everything since last year, because i do not like to fight anyone or make noise over anything whatsoever. He sent me an embarrassing sum of N300, 000 which he believes should serve as my payment for Emere, Irawo meji and Kurukuru part1,2 and 3. I quietly moved on with my life and faced my work squarely, but Mr Akeem Balogun will not let me be. He keeps oppressing and terrorising anyone i choose to do business with. He even went as far as influencing movie marketers and some movie producers to stop casting me for movie roles. Why? What exactly did i do to you? What exactly do you want from me? Mr Akeem Olatunji Balogun please leave me alone, i refuse to be enslaved by you, like you enslave some others. You don't pay them and you also won't let them do business with other people. Maybe it's because i refused to date you even after all these years, that is why you are strongly determined to destroy me. I serve a living God Mr Akeem and the God i serve will never allow darkness overcome light. Olasco films has refused to pay me my royalty for the three movies: Emere, Irawo meji and Kurukuru part1, 2, 3 and i have not yet taken him to court for that, and he is here, strongly advocating against me doing business with other marketers and film distributors of my choice. I know you are tough but my God is tougher than you. Don't try HIM. I still have the bounced cheque of 1million naira that you gave me in 2011. May my God reward you accordingly. There was a protest at the University of Lagos (Unilag) today.


According to reports, some students embarked on a peaceful protest but the gates of the school were shut down in the process.Interestingly, the Indian Vice President, Mohammad Hamid Ansari, was to deliver a lecture at the Main auditorium of the school today.

No word yet on whether it was cancelled orit went on as planned.
