Minister of Power, Works & Housing, Babatunde Fashola, SAN yesterday paid a visit to the site of the Gwarinpa building collapse. Six laborers were trapped in the building when it collapsed yesterday morning. The body of one of the laborer was removed today.

A number of persons were allegedly attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen last night at Amagu Attakwu Akegbe Nkanu Local Government Enugu.

According to the eyewitness, two of the victims were rushed to Emergency Unit ESUT Teaching Hospital Parklane Enugu at about 4:00am this morning with their intestines gushed out."I saw it with my two eyes this early morning around 4.am at Emergency Unit ESUT Teaching Hospital Parklane Enugu where two of the victims were rushed to and others were taken to Mother Of Christ Hospital Enugu. They were attacked in their village by fulanis in d middle of the night at Amagu Attakwu Akegbe Nkanu Local Government Enugu.


A seminarian who is among the victims ,just came back from Break yesterday evening only tomeet his death in the middle of the night.He was butchered like cow meat and he died immediately .

This lady here and her mother are in the same condition with their intestines out.A pregnant woman was also badly injured on herhead and some others who are lying hopelessly in the hospital." the eyewitness said.

I don’t know what led to her death, but beautiful Stacy Nwokocha has been receiving condolence messages from friends and loved ones on her facebook page.

Late Stacy is a serving youth corp member.

She celebrated her birthday just two months ago.


May she rest in peace.

Four out of seven surveyors who came from the Development Dams and Irrigation Scheme, Kaduna state to Ekiti state for a job inspection, lost their lives after the boat they were sailing in capsized in the Egbe river, Ekiti state yesterday August 24th.

The incident according to eyewitnesses happened at about 5:30pm. Their bodies were recovered by local fishermen and fire brigade with help of police force. Quite sad!
