Hmmmm. Your reply confirms exactly what I was explaining.

You think you should be "rolling on the floor laughing" at his struggles. You also regard is bold decision to seek therapy and his celebration of "one week wins" as a joke, not as the difficult, praiseworthy effort of a friend trying to improve their mental health .

My friend , that's not concern, love or compassion. It's called, schadenfreude, deriving joy in another's pain and struggles.. Proverbs 17.5 warns heavily against this kind of behaviour you're displaying. You're using his struggles not as a reason to offer support, but a weapon to laugh at him and validate your beliefs .

Your claim he didn't require professional help when he was a Christian is an assumption or more correctly put, a lie. Many Christians struggle silently with issues they're afraid to face.. It takes huge courage to finally face them with or without religion . It's clear you're seeing correlation and assuming causation to fit your narrative.

Genuine faith isn't proven by mocking someone else's struggles and saying, 'I told you so ' . It's proven by demonstrating the grace, love and compassion you claim your religion provides. Unfortunately, you have chosen the former instead of the latter

I will discontinue the conversation at this point. I'll just leave this here for others following this thread to consider what true compassion really looks like.

Thank you
I commend you for trying to reason with the unreasonable.

i am not his pastor, he can go and find his pastor in his church. All the while he was not an atheist; he didn't need therapy. Few years out, he's battling mariJ, and the other one alcohol, and needing therapy and celebrating one week wins. i should actually be rolling on the floor laughing like them if no be say God dey exist. See, just be his pastor offering 'support' and leave me alone. If he cares for his mental health, let him disturb me. When these fellows mock us for believing God or serving God for years and pages, you didn't ask them to show compassion, people would have assumed that they were living in Aso Rock or White House because they stopped believing God, while those that believe are the dregs of the lowest earth.
LoLz. Where did I say I was battling alcohol?

Gain understanding:

I decided to give up salt for health reasons

I decided to give up sugar for health reasons

I decided to give up rice for health reasons

Which of the above statements indicate a struggle with the substances mentioned?

Stop jumping into fairytale conclusions in your head.

Some "peace". I dont think words can describe it properly.. that's where i struggle. I've always been the cynical kind.. but something's flipped. Suicidal thoughts aren't as intense as they used to be.

I became too dependent on it to have a "nice" time. Also needed to prove to myself I could live without it. Been taking increasingly stronger and more expensive strains. Birthday was last month. Some cycles come to an end.

constancefriday:
Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:31 KJV
"I die daily, for the sake of the faith that I have in Christ Jesus" i rephrased that verse with simpler words to properly express what Apostle Paul was actually trying to get across or communicate to us.

In the Good News Translation of the same verse of the scripture, it reads

"I face death everyday" (1 Corinthians 15:31)

This is the reality we face when we proclaim and declare our faith for Jesus.
Standing up to proclaim the truth makes you a target and knowledge of the fact that you can be killed, shot at, stabbed etc, etc it's either going to make you shrink and retreat in fear or it will make you more bolder and fearless.

In Charlie Kirk's case he chose to be bolder and fearless even in the face of death and although he ended up dying, I see him more as a hero and a true soldier of God's Army.

There are some Folk's who're thinking, what secret sin or evil has Charlie Kirk done or committed to warrant such a death?
Let me shock some of you with this;
If you read the book of Job chapters 1 and 2 you'll discover that you can be clean, spotless, innocent, kind, compassionate, caring, loving, generous etc and the devil will still desire to strike. Job was a righteous, upright and blameless man but he got hit.

If we've been asleep, Charlie Kirk's death is a wake up call and a reminder of what we face and the choice we have to make TO NOT BE AFRAID, EVEN IF WE FACE DEATH EVERYDAY!

It's more glorious to die for Jesus than to live for the Devil.

"Welcome, thou good and faithful servant" is better than "depart from me, for I know you not, you worker of iniquity"

Of what use is living up to hundreds of years when God will end up denying you?
Dying young is not better either, no one wants to die that way but dying for saying the truth is better than living long while living a lie.

My sincere condolences to Erika Kirk ( his wife), and the Children, and the Church he belonged to. May God give them the strength to cope with his absence.

My sincere condolences to all Christians and the Christian Churches in The USA, we can feel the pain of Charlie Kirk's death from here as well.

May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercies of God; Rest In Peace.

Official Condolence Message from Apostle Constance C. Friday to the family of Charlie Kirk, his Church and all his friends and well wishers.

The fact that an innocent-looking 22yr old Mummy&Daddy's kid could legally have access to a High-powered supersonic rifle, & become proficient in using it to fire a killer-shot from over 180meters, should be a source of concern to US.
No o! They should continue saying gun control is woke. As people continue killing children in schools, in fact there was another school shooting on the day Kirk died. Charlie even said death by gunshot is an acceptable consequence of the proliferation of guns. I guess his death should be counted among that number.

Then a fact that many republicans are gay and pretending. The most popular gay app crashes whenever they have a convention in a location. Republicans are not against gay or transgender since they are part of their party. Don’t let these people deceive you.
The Grindr app crashing during the RNC is emblematic of their persistent hypocrisy. The they is a generalization. From reports coming out, the shooter hated him and considered him a fascist which is pretty ironic.
Honestly I don't care who the shooter was, I care that he was killed because he was confident to say what he believed and I care about the inhumane reaction of a certain group and that they are telling others that they are next.

Edit: according to the information coming out that the guy was a from a Christian home but left home, had a trans partner who was instrumental in catching him and about 4 others had prior knowledge about the assassination
Use he then. There is no they as far as we know. That they language is the kind of otherization that is used to persecute or villainize groups of people. It is unnecessary here or should I take it you already have the trans community as the target of your they.

And finally, we are all flawed, there are some opinions that I did not entirely agree with but that doesn't change the fact that he was better than most people we have now. This man just wanted to sit and talk with people l, youths especially because they are the future and he believes that talking stops that's when we have violence.
He just wanted a better country and they killed him for it.
Now we are left with people who don't mince words(Welsh) and who hate black people more than he did( Candice, which should tell you something cause she is black) and a jew
Who is the they that killed him? Please don't start conspiracy BS. They have only identified the shooter and no other accomplices so where does they come in.

Honestly this notion that Charlie was racist is really funny. The same man who probably has done more for the black American community that most black Americans themselves. This guy had Young Black Leadership Summit specifically for black people.
Honestly he pointed out the problem black American communities were facing and they hated that because black people love victim mentality.
Do you recall his black pilot comment? How is that the sentiment of someone who has any respect for black people?

This conference you referred to was the brainchild of Candace Owens when she was at TPUSA so don't be so quick to give Kirk any credit.

Here's what an X user, @thepeacepoet99 wrote about Charlie Kirk:

Seeing your work helped me get out of the woke cult and leave Transgenderism behind.

The message is God's. He was the one that initiated it.

The wisdom of God, preserved his words that's why we have manuscripts. From this manuscripts we can reconstruct the entire gospel. The differences are during copying, perhaps a slightly different use of language, mistake with numbers among others. None of this affects the overall message.

Sure, men were involved hence from someone as yourself, it's your subjective bias in purview.
There was no wisdom of god involved. The act of making copies of scrolls was an ancient way of preservation.

You are the one whose subjective bias is showing. All we have is men acting, you are the one interpreting those actions as the wisdom of god.

Gabrielshow24:
You must understand that the bible is a compendium of books that have passed through the hands of different scribes. The bible is an inspiration of God but it doesn't negate the fact that humans were involved. From this, we find scribal errors and others in it but it doesn't take away from the overall theme—God's love. Contrary to your view, it just shows that God used imperfect humans.

I mean this so called almighty god didn't stop them from making that error and allowing that error to perpetuate into Christian theology for hundreds of years till date? As for this, it's the wisdom of God that allowed us to have extant manuscripts that we can use to compare if a scribal error had been made. So the bible is somehow decentralized in the sense that if one copy makes an error we have others to check it with, this way we can detect if it was an insertion, a marginal note or scribal error in terms of numbers.

Doesn't that make any claims that the Bible is the "word of God" moot? It doesn't, it just shows the medium used is imperfect.
It just shows that if it so "easy" to alter the so called word of god then at what point is a god involved?

Wisdom of god that did nothing to preserve the original manuscripts? Did nothing to preserve even the ones we eventually got in a dilapidated state that people had to be guessing what it said? Really at what point is a god involved in all this cos it sure looks like its all a human operation from where I stand.

How is it wisdom to allow error to be perpetuated in a message that is supposed to save people from eternal damnation?

The medium used is imperfect but the supposed god wants perfection. That is confused.

FOLYKAZE:
I asked a JW some years back why KJV of the Bible contain 1 John 5:7 but NIV has a very short version removing the trinity. There is another Bible version can't remember precisely that removed that particular verse completely. He admitted he did not have answer and never return again.

Same thing applies to the ending of gospel of Mark, KJV had it but some version have it erased or kept it in the footnote, with a statement saying the verse is not present in the original manuscript. And again, it is a popular knowledge among critics that the story of adulterous woman and the ending of John is forgery. This prompt one to question the Bible as a whole.

1 John 5:7 is actually a theological gloss, deliberately inserted by whoever wrote the Latin manuscript so as to give Trinity a resounding testimony from the book. The ending chapter of the gospel mark v9-20 is also a deliberate insertion.

With all these obvious insertion, distortion and fabrication found almost everywhere in the Bible, it is good standing for one to hold that the Bible is not the word of God, never was an inspiration of God
With so many damning evidences I dunno how anyone can come to a different conclusion unless they are just ignorant of the facts or being deliberately obtuse?
