His first term has been a huge failure — inflicting untold hardship and strife on Nigerians, worsening insecurity, skyrocketing inflation, a collapsing naira, and a battered economy.

The constant electricity he promised, he has failed to deliver. In fact, he openly said that if he could not provide stable electricity, Nigerians should not vote for him for a second term.

Infact, the Renewed Hope agenda has turned out to be nothing but a scam.

I have been following up with the primary elections results and am so glad that Yusuf Buhari has reportedly emerged winner in a party primary election, and honestly, it got me thinking deeply about how politics in Nigeria operates beyond the surface level.
From my own personal perspective, politics is not always what the public sees on the surface. There are often deeper layers of influence, structure, and what I would describe as the zeitgeist of political continuity shaping outcomes in unexpected ways.
Congratulations to him. If this report is eventually confirmed, then I would say it represents another phase of political evolution in the country. In my own view, we are gradually witnessing a system where legacy and structure continue to play a major role in leadership emergence.
To be very honest, I and a host of others are mentally aligned with the idea of supporting continuity where necessary. We are, in our own understanding and interpretation, working things out behind the scenes in principle and support for him. One day, by the grace of God, he may become President of Nigeria.
I strongly believe he will continue the good legacy of his father, Muhammadu Buhari, and possibly even refine it in ways that future generations will appreciate.
I and many others will serve him just as we served his father, because in politics, loyalty and continuity often go hand in hand with national structure and political reality.
That said, leadership is never just about inheritance or recognition. It must also involve amelioration of national conditions, and a clear commitment to governance that benefits the people.
Nigeria is a complex system with many vicissitudes, and only those with resilience, understanding, and political depth can truly navigate it effectively.
In conclusion, whether people agree or disagree, politics will always remain layered, strategic, and sometimes even unpredictable. But from my own angle, I wish him well and hope this development, if confirmed, will translate into meaningful national progress.
