Ihaveleftnaija: Here we go again. Every administration, this is the nonsense you hear from Nigerians, how the previous monster was better than the current one. No matter who leads Nigeria, we are always going to end up with under- development, massive poverty and a huge population building their future around escape plans. That's because we are mineral resource dependent. No real tax base that will hold the government accountable. The elites are mini-Gods who dash cheap change to hungry crowds. Nothing will change even if Obi wins . Go and check the track record am one of Buhari's diehard fans and supporter. Sreach it on Nairaland. So am not those saying one govt is better than the other. Am the one asking u guys that question because nothing satisfy you people in this country |

TINUBU IS GOD’S PUNISHMENT TO NIGERIANS BECAUSE THEY NEVER VALUED BUHARI – NOW THEY UNDERSTAND TOO LATE
Let this question be asked today without sentiment… Is it not true that Nigerians don’t value good things until they lose it? Because if Nigerians are being honest with themselves, the way many Nigerians insulted, mocked, abused, and disrespected President Muhammadu Buhari for 8 solid years, one would think Buhari was the worst thing that ever happened to Nigeria. People called him names. They said he was slow. They said he was clueless. They said he was sleeping. They said Nigeria was finished. They said he destroyed everything. Yet today, Buhari has left office, and Nigerians are now crying the kind of tears that even prayer cannot wipe. And now something is becoming clear… Maybe Tinubu’s government is not just politics. Maybe it is God’s way of punishing Nigerians for being ungrateful. Because the truth is this: Buhari was not perfect… But Buhari was far better than what Nigerians are experiencing today. And anybody denying it is simply lying to themselves. WHEN BUHARI WAS PRESIDENT, NIGERIANS COMPLAINED… BUT THEY WERE STILL LIVING Let Nigerians be sincere. During Buhari’s time, Nigerians were shouting “hunger”, but many families were still eating. They complained about fuel, but fuel was still available. They complained about transport, but people were still moving around. They complained about food prices, but people could still buy rice and beans. They complained about electricity, but Nigerians still managed. They complained about dollar, but dollar was not behaving like a demon the way it is behaving now. Now look at Tinubu’s Nigeria… Everything is now double, triple, quadruple. Salary is the same. Suffering is multiplied. And hope is disappearing. The kind of hardship in Nigeria today is not ordinary hardship. This is the hardship that makes a man sit down and start thinking of suicide. This is the hardship that makes people forget their dreams. This is the hardship that makes educated graduates start looking for menial jobs. This is the hardship that makes families break apart. WHAT BUHARI DID FOR NIGERIA THAT MANY PEOPLE REFUSED TO APPRECIATE Let some people be shocked today. Whether anyone likes Buhari or not, Buhari did many things that Nigerians deliberately ignored because of politics and hatred. Let them be listed one by one.
1. BUHARI MADE SECURITY A TOP PRIORITY
Yes, insecurity was still there, but compare it to now. During Buhari’s time: Boko Haram was pushed back compared to the Jonathan era Many territories that were captured were reclaimed Military operations were strengthened New military equipment was purchased Some highways became safer than before Now under Tinubu, insecurity is still increasing, and Nigerians are now more afraid. Bandits are moving like government. Kidnappers now have confidence. Even villages are no longer safe.
2. BUHARI MADE MASSIVE INVESTMENTS IN INFRASTRUCTURE
This one is not even argument. Buhari built roads like a man that wanted to leave legacy. Projects Buhari pushed include: Second Niger Bridge completion Abuja-Kaduna Road projects Lagos-Ibadan Expressway progress Rail projects across Nigeria Rehabilitation of major federal highways Airport upgrades People were insulting him, but Buhari was building. Today, Tinubu is collecting loans and removing subsidy, but Nigerians are not seeing relief.
3. BUHARI REVIVED NIGERIA RAILWAY SYSTEM
Before Buhari, railway was almost dead. Under Buhari: Abuja-Kaduna Rail became functional Lagos-Ibadan Rail was completed Itakpe-Warri Rail was revived Modern rail projects became real again Even those who hated Buhari still used the train. Now, train ticket prices are rising, transport is rising, and suffering is rising.
4. BUHARI IMPROVED AGRICULTURE & LOCAL PRODUCTION
Under Buhari: Many Nigerians returned to farming Rice production increased Nigeria reduced some import dependence Anchor Borrowers Programme supported farmers Yes, there were issues, but Buhari pushed agriculture seriously. Now under Tinubu, fertilizer price is killing farmers, food is expensive, and hunger is everywhere.
5. BUHARI KEPT FUEL SUBSIDY AND SAVED NIGERIANS FROM TOTAL SUFFERING
Let Nigerians be honest. Fuel subsidy was the only thing holding Nigeria together. Buhari knew it. He understood the pain of common man. That is why he kept subsidy for years. But Tinubu came and removed subsidy like removing cap from bottle. Immediately: fuel jumped transport jumped food jumped rent jumped school fees jumped business cost jumped And the poor man became the sacrifice. Now Nigerians know why Buhari refused to remove subsidy carelessly.
6. BUHARI MAINTAINED A STABLE ECONOMY COMPARED TO THIS CURRENT MADNESS
During Buhari’s era, Nigerians complained about dollar. But dollar was not behaving like wild fire. Now under Tinubu: Dollar is rising like balloon Naira is falling like a condemned building Investors are confused Small businesses are dying Prices are changing weekly Even rich people are complaining. Even middle class are now poor. 7. BUHARI GAVE SOCIAL INTERVENTION PROGRAMS Many Nigerians mocked Buhari for N-Power and other interventions. But those programs helped millions. Under Buhari: N-Power supported youth TraderMoni / MarketMoni helped traders Conditional cash transfers supported poor families Government employment opportunities increased Now under Tinubu, Nigerians are hearing grammar. No real relief. Just “renewed suffering”.
THE CURRENT STATE OF NIGERIA UNDER TINUBU IS WORSE THAN MANY PEOPLE IMAGINED
Let Nigerians ask themselves: What exactly is Tinubu doing that is improving Nigeria? Instead Nigerians are experiencing: Extreme inflation Cost of living crisis Fuel price becoming unbearable Electricity tariff increasing Food becoming luxury Unemployment rising Businesses closing down Young people relocating massively Hopelessness everywhere Today in Nigeria: A bag of rice is like buying a small plot of land. A poor man cannot buy garri again. Even beans is now for rich people. Transport is now like flying ticket. A family of 5 cannot eat three times a day. Some Nigerians now eat once daily, not because of fasting, but because of poverty. And yet government is still increasing taxes and removing support.
NIGERIANS MOCKED BUHARI BUT NOW THEY ARE BEGGING FOR HIS ERA BACK
Many Nigerians have started saying: “At least Buhari tried.” Some even say: “Bring back Buhari’s fuel price.” Some say: “Buhari’s Nigeria was manageable.” Even those that swore never to praise Buhari are now praising him. That is when anyone can know Nigeria has entered deeper trouble.
NIGERIANS DID NOT VALUE BUHARI BECAUSE THEY WERE BLINDED BY HATE AND PROPAGANDA
The truth is: Many Nigerians don’t judge leaders with truth. They judge with tribalism. They judge with hatred. They judge with social media noise. Because Buhari had flaws, yes. But Nigerians exaggerated everything. They insulted him. They called him names. They made memes. They mocked his health. They ignored his achievements. They focused on the negatives only. And now they have Tinubu… A government that came with sweet promises but delivered bitter hardship.
TINUBU IS NOT JUST FAILING… HE IS BREAKING THE BACK OF THE POOR
If Tinubu’s government was affecting only rich people, Nigerians would not complain. But this government is affecting: market women transport workers students civil servants artisans graduates business owners parents widows pensioners Even those that voted Tinubu are now regretting. MAYBE GOD IS TEACHING NIGERIANS A LESSON Let it be said again. Maybe Tinubu is God’s punishment. Because Nigerians always behave like this: When they have good thing, they complain. When they lose it, they cry. That is why Nigeria never grows. That is why Nigeria never appreciates. That is why Nigerians never protect what is working. FINAL QUESTION TO NAIRALANDERS So this question is for everybody: Was Buhari really as bad as Nigerians claimed? Or Nigerians were just ungrateful? Are Nigerians now seeing the difference? Is Tinubu truly better than Buhari? Because right now, Nigerians are not just suffering… Nigerians are surviving. And survival is not living. DROP YOUR COMMENT: I will ever remain loyal to my master, my Leader and my president Muhammadu Buhari any other is a counterfeit. Non of Tinubu's policies is affecting me. Unclewilly: Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja, on Wednesday, warned lawyers and litigants against any attempt to approach him with a view to influence court decisions or judgments.
Justice Nwite gave the strong warning shortly after he delivered the ruling on a consolidated bail application filed by Abubakar Malami, SAN, former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), and his co-defendants.
The ex-AGF’s co-defendants include his wife, Hajia Bashir Asabe and his son, Abubakar Abdulaziz, who are facing alleged N8.7 billion money laundering charge.
“Before concluding, I want to admonish and warn counsel and litigants, that all judges are not the same.
“When I am handling any case, please don’t approach me.
“When you are doing your case, you can get the best lawyers in this country to do your case but don’t attempt to approach me for any help.
“I am not the type of judge. I know what God has done for me by given me this job and I have vow to do it to the best of my ability.
“I have sworn before Almighty God and man that I am going to do my duty without fear or favour,” he said.
The judge, who warned lawyers and litigants to desist from coming to him with the aim of perverting justice, said: “Any attempt to try this will be vehemently resisted.”
Justice Nwite said instead, his judgments and decisions could be tested by approaching the Court of Appeal up to the Supreme Court.
Earlier, the judge admitted Malami, his wife and son to a N500 million bail each with two sureties each in the like sum who must be property owners in Asokoro, Maitama or Gwarimpa within the Federal Capital Territory.
He ordered that the documents of the landed property must be verified by the deputy registrar, Litigation, of the court.
He declared that the defendants must deposit all their international passports to the deputy registrar, Litigation, of the court and they must not travel outside the country without the court permission.
Justice Nwite also ordered that the defendants and their sureties must deposit two passport photographs each to the court registrar.
Besides, the judge ordered that the residents of the sureties must be verified by the court registrar.
Justice Nwite, who ordered that the defendants must remain in Kuje and Suleja Correctional Centres pending the perfection of their bail conditions, adjourned the matter until Feb. 17 for commencement of trial.
The EFCC had, in the charge marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/700/2025, named the ex-minister, Asabe, his wife and an employee of a firm linked to the former minister, Rahamaniyya Properties Ltd, and his son as 1st, 2nd and 3rd defendants respectively.
The anti-graft agency, in the 16 counts, accused the defendants of carrying out various suspicious transactions and attempting to conceal the unlawful origin of billions of naira through bank accounts and property acquisitions across Abuja, Kano and Kebbi.
They allegedly committed the offences between 2015 and 2025, a period that includes the eight years Malami served as the AGF during the late former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
The commission alleged that Malami, his son, and Asabe conspired to disguise the origin of funds, acquire property indirectly, and retain sums they allegedly knew were proceeds of unlawful activity, in violation of the Money Laundering (Prohibition and Prevention) Acts of 2011 (as amended) and 2022.

Af0nja2: Earlier this week, there was a report that the Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu has petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming that Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church asked him to purchase about 1,000 trumpets valued at roughly N150 million, adding that his refusal allegedly led to a prophecy predicting he would not become governor of Oyo State.
Primate Ayodele has since dismissed the allegations.
Today, the Internet has been agog with a series of SMS allegedly shared between the minister and the Primate.
