When I was serving, I met a girl I liked through a friend. I told her my feelings for her but she seemed not interested until I asked her to go out with me. Suddenly she became interested cos I was going to spend money on her (free food, drinks etc). As time went by, I noticed how uncomfortable she was around me but she stuck around because of the little she felt she could sap from me. Through out the scam relationship, whalai comon hug I no see not to talk of ordinary kiss few months towards the end of my service, she got pregnant and that was when I realized that there was another guy she took very serious!! If I had enough money and ready to settle down, that girl probably might have left the guy to mary me (of course her policies would have been less strict). Some people claim there are girls in this age not interested in how much you have in your pocket, I believe them. But what I don't know is what planet they are from

Yea, it's me Basalt and I always don't wanna paint words. I am a graduate of Geology from UNN (with over 4point GP).
I received much discouraging advice especially from my relatives in America and even my friends telling me that since I have a high GP and still young I should continue applying for jobs in Nigeria because Abroad is no longer what it used to be. I was listening to their lies and applying to non existing jobs for complete 2YRS.
Out of all those applications, I was able to secure only private school jobs which paid less than 30,000 with lots of stress on my life. After 2years of frustration and earning like a rat, I came back to my senses.

I studied geology too and graduated in 2017. Thank God I met this thread. Would u mind mentioning the course you are studying and the school? I'm considering starting a masters program in 2020 in Germany but It seems there's little opportunities for geologists in Germany. How long did your admission and visa process take?

When it's time to get married, it's best to marry someone who's financial status is not too far from yours. I agree. I heard about this from a reliable source yesterday. Apparently, most people sacked were bank tellers with over 10 years in service. Some of them in their mid 30s who have been getting salary increments as the norm. As a business man, would you keep increasing salaries for a skill set like bank tellers or would you employ young people in their early 20s willing to earn a fraction to kick start their career? Like I said earlier, I served there. I know what I saw and witnessed. Girls were just getting pregnant and aborting in my street like it was nothing. You can literally chyk and bang a typical Akwaibom girl the same day cos they see sex as nothing. Infidelity among married couples is high!!
