Called CIC on the 20th of December and was told our application is approved.
Emailed NDVO on December 31st
PPR January 7 from NDVO

VO OTTAWA file was later transferred to SYDNEY NS after approval.

Already emailed NDVO copied OTTAWA for change of VFS passport submission to Accra.


Decision to migrate was in July 2016.

WES:
Paid for it in August 2016 and was ready by first week in December 2016. Spouse WES, paid in September 2016 and was ready first in January 2017. My sister in Canada helped with the payment because CBN reduced international spending on online payments to $100 then.

Wifey evaluated only her HND which came out as diploma (three years) and postgraduate certificate (one year) which is (2 or more certificates). I also evaluated only my HND and BSC which came out as Diploma (three years), postgraduate certificate (one year) and bachelor’s degree (four years).


IELTS:
We wrote Ielts about 11 times, I wrote 3 times and stopped writing while wifey continued writing until she made it in her 8 attempts. So guys please never give up and don’t look at the money. Ielts made me look like someone who doesn’t know anything. I was supposed to be the PA because I have more work experience and qualification. But wifey was later made the PA because her scores were far better than mine in Ielts.

MEDICAL:
Children practice. We got there by 6:30am. They didn’t allow us in until 8am. We left there almost 3pm and drove to Alagbon straight for the PCC. Some people gate crashed and they were allowed to do the medicals. We booked for it a week before.


PCC:
We used ASP Moshood and we got his contact from this trend. We got it in less than 25 minutes.



POF:
Most of the funds where in my accounts, since we agreed for her to be the PA, I moved the remaining lump sum into her account instead of submitting both our SOA’s. We wrote two LOE for me moving the funds to her freely for the purpose of our migration and I signed. The second LOE was for the huge sum which was moved to her account by me and she signed.

Note, the money can be in eithers (PA or Spouse) account but we decided to move the money to one single account in order to avoid too many LOE’s.

Page 5: Bank reference letter in CIC format, everything was written in cic format apart from the 6months average balance which the Account Officer told me she can’t calculate or generate herself because she wrote at the branch level.

Page 7: 2nd T-bills certificate
Page 8: 6months SOA which also shows all the huge inflows and T-bills debit (Optional).


WORK EXPERIENCE:
We used wifey’s one year NYSC teaching experience. We got the letter in CIC format. We wrote LOE for not having paystubs and that the first salary was paid in cash and the rest credited into her account. We printed the 1 years SOA and attached.

SIBLING POINTS:
We claimed 15 points from my elder sister. She has been begging me to write Ielts since 2008 but I no gree hear word. Na me like 9ja pass.
I used her PR card and utility bill and I also used our birth certificate for proof of relationship, I didn’t use the NPC attestation of birth. Please if you have the generic local government BC your parent did for you, kindly go ahead and use it except you misplaced your BC that is when you can use NPC attestation of birth because they are now making money from us now on it.

APPRECIATION:
I want to thank Almighty God for his love and favour and also want to thank my lovely wife and my lovely sister for her support and encouragement, she never gave up on us even when Ielts was dealing with us. Wify and I wrote IELTS in 2017, and i had LRSW - 6.5,9,8,7. I felt so bad because I thought it was going to be a walk in the park. Wify had an average band of 7 which was all she needed. Na so I start to jack like who dey prepare for war o because after the month i selected to write, there was going to be an increase in BC IELTS costs which was not readily available. So the D-day came and when the result came out I can still remember how tears blurred my eyes as I checked my result on my way to the office while inside Danfo. I had made it and LRSW became 8.5,8,8,7.5 which brought our CRS score to 456 thanks to sibling in Cani points.

There is nothing wrong with the petition move. It's a global practice. This will help bring the canadian government notice to the unecessary delay at the Accra processing office.

Some of us here need to get off our timid ways real fast.

For those who didn't know, know this now - as a West African applicant, until you get your PPR, AVO is a reality that looms over your head. Even if your file is being processed at another VO, your file can still land at Accra if the officer handling your file is overwhelmed with work or just feels that you might need to be interviewed. So no one should feel unconcerned because they're presently not under AVO.

Perhaps you haven't heard of people who got sent to AVO for interview and 7 months later they are yet to get an interview date.

As a matter of fact, people whose Visa Office is not Accra should be equally concerned. If your file gets sent to AVO from another Visa Office, you join the queue and your processing time begins afresh. AVO couldn't care less how long you've spent in your primary Visa Office. Feel free to inquire from those who got transferred to Accra from other Visa Offices.

Calm down pls. I think your processing has made alot of progress. You have done your bit by contacting them. All you need to do now is to be patient.

If your work experience is easily verifiable, they may not need to transfer your file anywhere for further processing. Alot of people have used fd as pof, and there was no issue.

I'm 14weeks post-AOR and when I called CIC concerning my application, I was informed that my eligibility is under review although I've passed the criminality, background and so on checks. I submitted 2 reference letters (from my current employer and former employer) and my POF was is FD.
Does anyone have a similar experience and can advise me on what my next line of action should be?
Apparently my file has been in CIO, Sydney all along.
Can the process start and end there? Or should I expect them to move the file to another VO?

Please how much do people doing survival jobs earn per hour in winnipeg, and do such survival jobs require any canadian certification before being considered for employment? if you work in a regulated profession, was it difficult getting license to practice, and do you have any idea if Optometry jobs are easy to come by in Winnipeg?

Well in Manitoba Specifically Winnipeg Life is easy going and people here are very nice they are known as Friendly Manitobans.

I came here with my family so I can only relate to people with families, your kids are entitled to child benefits monthly and if you live below certain annual income you are entitled to Rent assist. There are jobs every where here but if you are selective you might have to wait a while.

That's the generality of it.

Not me really. I wanted you to break down your journey so far, so that some of our brethren interested in moving towards your end of the country, will have an idea on what to expect.
