What's a VCM muzzle?

It’s basically a resistor wire harness that tricks the ECU to reading a slightly lower operating temperature to prevent the cylinder deactivation on Honda’s v6 engine.
And No, it doesn’t affect your engine cooling fan because they usually use two ect sensor/ cold start sensor on those engines and it basically plugs into the ect sensor on the engine block ( this sensor doesn’t determine when the fan comes on or not )

Solid car and power train if in good condition. For the V6, you should make sure you confirm the vehicle gearbox works fine, the engines are good also, one downside about it is the VCM 2 system which malfunctions but can be corrected via a VCM muzzler. In few words it’s a great buy. If you’re in lagos I could help you run an inspection on the car and also perform a full system scan of the car.

Hello guys, good morning. I just got a 2014 Acura MDX foreign used. It's about 145k miles with no accident history (I checked the vin). The car was well maintained by the owner and interior still looks very clean. In the carfax history, the owner did a timing belt and water pump replacement at 77k miles in 2020. Acura recommends that the timing belt be changed at 105k miles or 7yrs whichever comes first. I am wondering whether I should just change it now or still use it for a year or two (i will hardly drive 10k miles in those 2yrs because it's a spare car). I would actually prefer to change it alongside the belt tensioner and waterpump to have peace of mind for another 7yrs or so but the problem is I don't know how to get the original oem parts here in Nigeria. Everyone in the market is China. Please, I need help on how I can get the oem parts in case I need to replace them. Thanks.

I do believe you can order them from Acura, they have service website where you can plug in your vin and it’ll get the right part and you’ll order it

First thing first, you would need to confirm vehicles customs duty as well as request for dealers plate as well as the necessary document
For the dealers plate. If possible get someone experienced to help you transport the vehicle
Also make sure do draft a change of ownership document with appropriate signatory
